Okay, so now's the time for me to come up with a general strategy for engaging with 200-page games.

Here's what I'll try: First I'll look at mod iso to make sure I know what's happened. Then I'll skim each player's ISO to pick up on vibes and identify moments of conflict. I'll look into each moment to try and build a take. And then I'll read the last 10-20 pages or so to figure out which takes are relevant. Then I'll post a set of reads and people will maybe tell me they're terrible and that'll drive further reading.

And that'll still take forever but it'll take less time

likely he'd be getting more embroiled as town but since he's wolf he's trying to motivate himself to sift through the leaves but with less energy

Wanna note that I think I'd find this critique pretty compelling if I were in someone else's shoes with someone else's role pm. It only misses the mark here because of unique out of game circumstances and maybe also some facets of my personality, such as a tendency to make overwhelming commitments when I'm in a good mood. I can prove my personality is a factor here if need be since there are unfortunately lots of long games I've replaced into in years past where I've more or less failed to rise to the challenge I'd accepted.

Anyway my point here though is that it's a good post and it reads as town to me.

So I tried finding substantial wagons in shea's iso and then reading the posts around them to pick up on vibes. Still a lot of reading - there were like 12 of them over the thread's course.

Got little from the initial xofelf wagon that formed by post 381. Looks like people were still shitposting by page 18? Wild.

Poking around the adante wagon around 836, this post was of some interest:

I don't think lower post count is necessarily a bad thing as long as the posts contain content like they have been in the past few pages. Granted, I do not have my vote placed on you even though you're my scummiest read at the moment. Major Wagons on Day 1 give me real bad feels.

kdowns' reaction here came off as disproportionate and unnatural given the time he'd had to get used to the user's style. Also no vote? Why not? Adante was 7 votes from a lynch at the time.

Pretty incisive but also not making a big deal about it either; feel like mafia would be more performative here, even if STD were Dog Mafia rather than aligned w/ NWB. Especially doubtful that STD is cat mafia, at least.

In general, there's probably a lot alignment-indicative in the dance between this norwegianboyee wagon and the two it competed with over the Day (titus and later murdercat, both town). I probably only have time to keep sorting through these three for now (sorry).

I see a lot of flipped town or flipped dog in the titus wagon, so I can't really say that being on the wagon is sinister in itself or anything.

Looking at Norwee as the biggest wagon, their response to being wagon'd is the only thing that pinged me in their ISO. Things like calling their wagon crappy, and just kinda discrediting it instead of looking for scum on it just doesn't feel like a towny mindset

I'm firmly of the kill other scum camp. My philosophy is thus: in a normal game of mafia, mafia are functionally masons with a NK. In multiball, for the purposes of the other scumteam they ACTUALLY ARE masons with a NK. you should give exactly as much attention to killing the other scumteam as you do to killing vigs, because they really are vigs.

this other scum team has substantially different incentives for use of their kill (and their votes) than actual masons with an NK
if that scumteam is focusing their efforts on teeing up mislynches and otherwise disrupting towns' attempts to solve the game, they're way less of a threat at least

Except that from their perspective you are a mislim. Sure, you don’t kill a mason vig if you think they’re going to hand you the game, and you certainly don’t kill a mason vig if there’s a higher priority target (a charismatic player who is focused specifically on you or your teammate) but the opposing scum is an inherently high priority target.
