The Rules: This Game

1. Days will last indefinitely. So long as at least one game has visible forward momentum, I will not impose a deadline. Should

games stall I will impose a deadline on both games. The game with more players will have 7 days and the game with fewer players will have 5 days. In the event of a tie, Halloween will be considered to have more players.

2. Please attempt to post once every 48 hours. If you have a reason that you will be unable to post, let me know either by declaring V/LA in thread, in your banner, or by PM.

3. Fast Night is only an option if the other game is not currently a night phase, and requires unanimous agreement among all living parties. Requests for Fast Night MUST be submitted via PM or they will not be counted.

4. Voting for a player not in your game will count as an unvote, as will any vote that is not clear enough that I can determine who it is supposed to be voting.

5. You may submit Night Actions in advance if you foresee difficulties submitting Night Actions reliably. You may also use conditionals to submit Night Actions. (i.e. If Pine flips town, target Bingle. If Pine flips scum, target Jingle.)

6. Invalid Night Action targets will count as No Target submissions.

First of all, I'd like to apologize for being unable to immediately resolve the issues. I was in no position to read the thread when several of you reached out to me, and am just now resolving this.

Secondly, the replacements are a result of both list mod intervention and the immediate continuance of the argument after my generic warning to the thread to chill out.

Third, please do not request mod actions be taken against specific players in the game thread. If you feel something needs to be brought to my attention, please contact me via PM (as several players did). I feel personally that suggesting a course of action in the thread only adds more fuel to the fire and if you think your perspective will help me make any needed decisions, I will more readily be able to see it via PM anyway.

Finally, please remember that this is a game. While tempers can (and do) run high, we are all people looking to come together and have a good time, first and foremost. If you are getting too angry, consider taking a break from the thread. If you feel someone is taking things too far, please give me a chance to actually attempt to diffuse the situation. Personally, I run these games because I like the people involved and hope to create a setup where they can all have fun together. Sorry for the wonky balance this game guys. I did address it in the mod PT to an extent, but it was a massive mistake on my part. I failed to reconsider win conditions after removing a central mechanic, and scum had a severe uphill battle from the beginning.

Actually, yes. But it was role based, not mechanics based.

In hindsight to rebalance the setup I would have chosen one of the following:

3 scum lynched instead of two, masons -> neighbors.
All scum lynched.
Return nsg's role to the original state (swap any two players in games every night, compulsive (Note: this change was to swap one player with self slightly before the review process started).

I think for a first run setup with this style, the first would be my preference, just because the game was more complicated than I expected even without swapping games.

I'd also like to congratulate the scum team for making it as far as they did when they were fighting against what was a pretty stacked town player list in addition to a ridiculous amount of town power. Even coming near the finish line was impressive as hell.

Someone asked if the Lie Ren redaction was on purpose, and the answer is mostly.

I actually intended to clarify what cross game Roleblocker meant, but actually forgot that I'd redacted it as fully as I had in order to post the flip quickly.

The confirmation of a joint scum PT and scum player names was intentionally withheld, though.

I think that vanilla setup + you need to lynch the whole team in one game is even better balance, maybe.

Mountainous larges have, in my experience, always had incredibly demoralizing endgames that no one wants to play in.

I think WANH was playing more than their stances in thread suggested, considering they were Mason.

I can't remember logging into discord over the course of the game and there not being like 100 new posts in the mason chat. (They requested and were granted a mason discord very early in the game.)
