Good evening.

Firstly, the Oman wagon is absolutely retarded.

Secondly, I would like to know why, of the players on the Sammich wagon, everyone jumped on Schteven in particular.

Well, we seem to have three commonly-given reasons for the Oman wagon:

His bandwagonning (not a scumtell)
His trying to get references to ongoing games removed (so not a scumtell it isn't funny)
His lynch-a-lurker suggestion. Now, not great, but I've seen enough towns lose to lurking scum enough times that it makes sense. Probably needs to differentiate better between lurkers and inactives, but not a scumtell.

Generally, I'm getting a vibe of genuine conviction off Oman, which is what I always look for in the context of game theory arguments.

Hmmmm. 'I don't like the player being wagonned, OR those on the wagon' is not the kind of argument i particularly like.

I can't see how PMing a mod to say please pay attention is a problem.

Good idea w/open queue.

Gaaargh! I'm so outta whack with this game, will have to do ANOTHER full re-read i think. Nothing that's happened recently has convinced me to support a shteven or Oman lynch, i don't think. This Tyler thing may be promising, i'll take a look in isolation.

I strongly disagree. Things become apparent when you look through in isolation that you may miss in the context of a 40-page general re-read. That's why you need to do both. Sounds like someone doesn't like being examined too closely.

Well, let's see. Tyler.

Uses my two least favourite arguments of all time, 'too defensive' and 'doesn't give reasons,' neither of which, of course, are actually scummy. Big pusher of the Oman crapwagon. Certainly a preferable lynch to Oman, however, I do worry that we might be finding ourselves in a MAD I situation, where all those participating get increasingly pissed off with one another, and most if not all are town, whilst the scum just lurk through for victory, so I won't be supporting this wagon just yet.

I BELIEVE them scummy.

NOT GIVING REASONS IS NOT A SCUMTELL.

DEFENDING YOURSELF FROM ATTACKS IS NOT A SCUMTELL.

Anyone who tries to claim the contrary is likely opportunistic scum. It's the oldest trick in the scum playbook to attack someone, then claim they are 'getting defensive' when they defend themselves. And whether or not players give reasons is a playstyle thing (some players actually believe long posts are scummy).

Also, there is no conceivable reason for the mod to reveal a modkilled cop's result. I didn't notice this at the time due to my incredible pissed-offness at being modkilled for no reason, but it's one more piece of game distorting information.

This game should be abandoned due to EXTREME mod misconduct. I'd out my remaining scumbuddy if i could remember who it was.

Oman wrote:The idea I guess is that the cop would've told us his result if he were being lynched, not modkilled.
And he wouldn't if he were nightkilled. And a scum being lynched would have time to fakeclaim.
Also, you need to be less grumpy.
How would you feel if you'd put a large amount of time and effort into a game, spent a couple hours re-reading, and you were modkilled for no good reason whatsoever due to modding malpractice?

Well no. I believe the malpractice is sufficiently severe that the thread will likely need to be abandoned anyway, so 'distracting' from the game isn't really an issue.

I'd argue the premise that it's salvageable. If it had been my scumbuddy modkilled for no reason, and the mod had confirmed the innocence of a living player, equally for no good reason, and I was a living scum, I would be demanding abandonment. The mod has gone out of his way to screw over the scumteam here and ensure that the game isn't fair. If it isn't fair, it isn't fun.

I will say Fonz, that you hadn't posted for 11 days before the modkill, so you freaking out over it to the extent you are is a little over the top.
Pretty much no-one had posted. WE WERE WAITING FOR THE MODKILLS. I had, however,
PMed Khelvaster about this game
during that time.

You mean this list?
Shteven wrote:Skitzer (he even asked for one)
LML, Manaspryte (punks!)
and Timmers2001.

Above I consider unlikely to respond to prods

Good luck prodding: White, AlyG....if not, replace.

That should be all (as if 6 isn't enough) for now, we'll see ;)
Well, shortly after, Justin Playfair said this:
Justin Playfair wrote:Unless I am terribly mistaken I replaced Skitzer.
And Shteven said this:
Shteven wrote:Yeah, so I dropped the ball on my previous post twice, actually.

Timmers2001 was already replaced by the Fonz.
D'oh.
Which you'd have known had you, y'know, READ THE THREAD OF THE GAME YOU'RE MODDING.
Khelvaster wrote:[ I thought it was normal modding to give out a cop's n0 investigation. After all, if he were lynched, he would have revealed investigation.
No, it's not, it's EXTREME MODDING MISCONDUCT. After all, he wouldn't have had the chance had he been nightkilled. See Battle Mage's conduct in SG-1 mafia for an example of how to do it right.

My greatest apologies for messing up. I can assure you it won't happen again.
Khel, dude.

My apologies for yelling at you. It's just really horrible to see you've been modkilled for no good reason, when you've replaced into a game and made a lot of effort to catch up. Then I didn't like it when it seemed to me like you were blaming other people, or indeed me. Everyone fucks up, it's cool.

Sammich is absent, and was scum- I have to assume he was rolefishing. Not to say that he didn't get a doc vibe off of you.
