Unvote

Nekka hits the nail on the head.

Of course, I think random voting would not be necessary if a game started with a night phase, but that results in at least one person signing up but not being able to play due to death. And that isn't fun.

I don't know who to vote for. I gut tells me that if Unright is lynched they'll be green/blue, but my gut is notoriously wrong.

My scumdar is borked, sue me. I'm mainly posting here so you guys will know I'm not lurking.

Vote: Battle Mage

For the "blatant scum" comments on page 3, and the unfunny "joke" insults throughout the thread. Games are supposed to be games as far as I am concerned, and if I can't figure out who is scum right now I can at least figure out who is annoying. [/i]

good point,

have you asked any questions or scum hunted...or did you plan to just blindly start voting and lynching without any information?
No, I'm not saying we should just blindly start lynching without information. What I'm saying is I'm used to much faster paced games. I guess I just need to look for games on this site where the mods are going to enforce a deadline if discussion wanes.

It just seems like we don't have much to discuss at this point. I'll

Also, I don't think I can quantify how much I hate the tag system here. It added those tags at the end of my post for me because I pressed the button once in my post.

Okay, I'll reread the thread and post what I think.

Page 1 is all random voting. Nekka self votes. oh noes. I've never found that to be a scumtell in the random voting stage. It seems more silly to me than anything.

Page 2 is people looking at Unright because he either (depending on interpretation) let slip that he knew people were townies or made a terrible assumption.

Page 3 and 4 make my head hurt with the he said she said.

Page 5 there is a votecount.
Wow.

In my mind these people are dodgy:
Battle Mage
Unright
Mastermind of Sin

Of course, I suspect I'm now the favorite to lynch. If need be, I can roleclaim, because it isn't like I'm terribly important. There is also one person who can back me up, but I certainly am not going to roleclaim for them. If and when I roleclaim, they can back me up if they see fit.

Honestly, I'm just not too good at picking up on flavor of posts and such if I haven't played with a person before. I have to learn their post style before I can tell if they're deviating from it.

I'll finish the roleclaim if you guys still see fit to lynch me, I guess.

Please explain why.
Well...

Battle Mage seems to be throwing around the insults and the votes pretty liberally. Says Unright is blantant scum (post 70), which, to be fair, is not in
total
contrast to my own opinion, but it isn't like he's a cop and has investigated him yet - after all, there was no night 0, right?

For you?
Mastermind of Sin wrote:Jordan is stretching like a motherfucker. It is *NEVER* too early to be serious about lynching.
Post 58. I beg to differ, and so would any other smart townie.

Unright is just a feeling. I was picking up blue/green from him earlier, but now it has swung a bit if the opposite direction.

I don't mind being lynched. It is better than lynching a vanilla townie because it creates a confirmed green in my partner who I will give you before you lynch me, should you not hammer me overnight. I know that a green/blue lynch should statistically almost be expected (but never hoped for) day 1, so there are definitely worse things that can happen. If we have to lynch someone, better the Mason (Yes, I'm claiming) than the doctor or cop, right? Plus, if the town wins I still win even if I'm dead.

You guys never used green, blue and red?

You're "green" if you're a plain vanilla townie
You're "blue" if you're town aligned but with powers - cop, doc, etc
You're "red" if you're scum - mafia, SK, whatever

I figured the terms were almost universal. :S

I claimed to make the game more interesting. 'Twas a little boring. Nothing like someone claiming a role to stir the pot.

As well, I dont' think it's necessarily a bad move to have masons claim D1. Everyone seems to think it makes scum job easier of finding power roles, but in my experience it actually presents a difficult decision for scum. They want to find power roles, but can't very well just allow two confirmed innocents to just sit hang around to the endgame. I like the plan, and don't fault gage's instincts of wanting to out himself and his partner.
At least someone hasn't placed me

This seems a little odd, coming from you, Gage.

I don't understand why both the claimed masons are pushing to lynch the claimed doc.
I imagine it has something to do with us believing he's scum.
