The following takes place in the town of Yakisoba, Japan.

Quiet.

That's right. It's quiet.

That's good, right? Quiet. Quiet is nice. Quiet is peaceful.

They said they'd be here by now.

"Hello, Mr. Mayor," a man whispered behind him. The mayor turned around, but sees...

Nothing. Quiet once again.

"I...I...I have money..." the mayor said, breaking the silence. Birds in the alley down below fluttered thier wings and flew away, past the scene slowly unfolding on the roof of an adjacent building. The mayor watched them fly away, wishing he, too, could escape. Unfortunately for him, he was grounded. The whisperer tapped the mayor on the shoulder and put a finger to his lips.

Even on this seemingly open roof, the whisperer still seems to be able to use the shadows to his advantage.

"I have money, too..." the whisperer replied. The mayor slowly nodded. His hands were shaking.

"But I have something more valuable than money, too..."

The mayor felt a hand pressed hard on his chest. He had no idea how close to the edge he was.

The birds should have been grateful. If it weren't for the mayor's voice scaring them away, they would have been crushed by his weight as he fell into the alley.

The Yakuza have started operations in the seemingly peaceful town of Yakisoba. It is up to you to stop them.

"Sir! There's a problem," a man said while entering an office featuring a desk, a chair, and a lamp.

"Please, come in. Sit down. And refrain from using the word problem. There are no problems. Only solutions," an authoritative figure stated while poiting to a chair.

"Well...we have a...situation that is in need of a solution," the first man said while sitting down where he was gestured to sit.

"What is it?"

"Well...there was a...a...a witness."

"A witness? To the mayor's murder?"

"Yeah."

"Oh, the poor mayor. It was in all the papers this morning."

"Yeah, it was a real tragedy," the man started to shake. He looked around the office, but the walls are very plain, except for the deep crimson paint coloring them. He looked at the desk. It was very plain as well, and equally as crimson. The man gulped and looked back to whom he is talking to.

"So? What happened to the situation?"

"Well, sir...I took care of it."

"Good. Didn't I tell you? There are no problems. Only solutions."

"Sir! I've been shot!" a man yelled, entering the crimson office.

"What?!?" the man inside, leader of the Yakuza, said.

"The townspeople! They're not going to stand for us! They're...revolting!" with his last breath, he handed something to the man watching him die.

"These riots are out of control. I will bring order back to Yakisoba. I know who shot you, and I will start by avenging your death." The man climbs to the roof of the building and stares down at the city below.

"You are all my play things. You are all at my mercy. I will consume you all!" The man reaches into a nearby air vent and quickly assembles the pieces of a sniper rifle hidden inside. He takes a shot, and it hits the target.

In the process, a little piece of paper falls out of the leader's hand. On it is one letter, the initial, 'I.'

The man in the dark blue suit with white pinstripes ran up the stairwell, panting. He stumbles on a stair, but catches himself with his hands. The breifcase he carries crashes on the ground. He takes out his cell phone and dials a number.

"I have information...information for you..." he whispers into the phone. He looks up and sees a man with a dark trenchcoat watching him. The suit throws the cellphone at the trenchcoat. It hits him in the eye before breaking on the ground. The trenchcoat buckles, and the suit continues runnning.

The lights turn off.

In the distance, a shot rings out.

A man with a large trenchcoat came in.

"Hello, sir," the man said with a sinister grin, a dark sparkle reflecting the room off of his teeth, his eyes hidden in shadow.

They followed him into an abandoned warehouse.

"Fire! Fire!" the man yelled again. The flunkies were armed with sub machine guns, mini guns, and various other ways to discard a lot of bullets in a short ammount of time. Their prefered method of desicrating a corpse beyond recognicion.

The man who yelled fire suddenly collapsed. Blood came out of his mouth, and his eyes were losing the battle to house the soul.

A knife had been thrown into this man's gut. Another came flying out of the air and struck him in the head. Everyone scattered in fear.

The man prepares some noodles, yakisoba style. He places some stir-fry vegetables and some terriyaki beef on top.

"How does it taste?" he asks the town.

The town picks up StallingChamp and throws him off a bridge. A gun falls out of his pocket.

"Yakuza!" the people cry happily."

Alas, StallingChamp never fired the gun. He was just cleaning it.

Nighttime!

"Have the Yakuza taken over this town yet?" a prominent member of the town roars, "Or do we still have a chance to take it back?"

"Let us fight for our freedom!" a woman cries.

"To arms!"

"Fight!"

"Victory!"

They form a mob with pitchforks, sickles, small statues, baseball bats, pottery, and any other weapons of oppurtunity they could grab from thier homes. They march down the street as one, eager and ready for battle.

A black car comes careening down a hill, which disperses the men and women vigilantes. The corpse of a young man is thrown out into the street as the mob turns to look towards the assailants.

"Outrage!" the townfolks cry. Only a few get out of the car, a few compared to the mob staring back at them. They are men and women in dark cloaks smiling an evil, deep grin. Their eyes are all hidden in shadows and hoods and hats.

One of them fires.

And the town starts to realize they are heavily outguned, and outsworded.

With a mighty slash, DGB charges towards the mob in no time flat. cuts the throat of MBF while Shadowlurker is busy desmiting the rest of the town with an automatic pistol (there's not a lot of the town left). DGB moves from body to body, slitting throats and avoiding strikes from strange weapons. She climbs up on someone, slits thier throat, and jumps onto more, cutting limbs and heads as she goes.

Klebian tries to run, but Shadowlurker's got a sharp eye. Klebian does not hear the silent projectile enter his back from yards away. His eyes roll back in his head before he has a chance to hit the ground.

The mafia made a kill as a whole, since there was no role to determine which person made the kill, like a tracker. That's how I roll.

DGB's PM says immune to investigation. Gunsmith is a type of investigation. DGB kills with a katana. I admit, this made the GF overpowered, but I don't think the Gunsmith has to conform to normal conventions. Also, the gunsmith is kinda sketchy as an investigative role. My intent was to make this game very townie, but in hindsight I should have taken away the immunity or given one less goon or something. I'm still learning as a mod.
