Wanting or even suggesting anything like a policy lynch for any reason that does not involve scummy things said and/or done inside of the current game is, in itself, scummy.
In particular, Blue has been pushing this prospect, and with it he has contradicted himself.
I thought this might have been a joke, but he doesn't stop defending a Cyanide lynch for this reason.Blue wrote:Vote: Sir Cyanide
I thought we agreed on mass lynching him due to his unpleasant and anti-feminist behaviour already. Also, the random number generator chose him twice (1/400 chance) which is a good enough reason for me to get rid of him immediately.
It's great that you don't think you'd be obvious, but your complete disregard for anything useful that could come out of the first day is scummy. You say that on the first day there is not much to go on. I agree with this, but at the same time you advocate a policy lynch, which does exactly the opposite of promote discussion which we can analyze in the future. If we lynch someone right away with zero reasoning, then day two becomes just as useless as day one because all of the posts from day one were just fluff centered around the policy lynch. Fluff is bad; fluff is impossible to read because it doesn't actually have anything to do with the game.Blue wrote:
Ah, but if I were mafia I wouldn't be half so obvious. Because then I'd anticipate receiving votes from tunnel-vision players like yourself.Shrinehme wrote:Pushing a wagon for someone whom hasn't done anything particularly scummy is a good vote to me.
In the first round, nobody generally does anything scummy anyway. I just want to get rid of a player who is likely to cause offense.
All in all, you say you want discussion at some point and yet you are absolutely in support of a lynch which would promote no discussion tomorrow. I was going to call out Cyanide for fluff in this post, but it seems that almost this whole thread has been fluff and your policy lynch is the initiator.Vote Blue.-

Now this...this isn't productive at all. You could at least give some reasons as to WHY you don't like some suspicion on Blue.Fate wrote:Panarama+Chronopie.
Let's not get sidetracked by Blue people...

Discussion.Parama, post 155 wrote:What information are we losing if Leafsnail is vigged and CYANIDE is lynched? (seriously, I don't know, if there's something I'm missing here feel free to explain it)
Stop doing that, trying to guess the setup doesn't really help anyone at all and posts like this really equate to fluff.JacobSavage wrote:I think that it isaround 60%, depending on the setup.
And who ever dies tonight will be able tohelp us in working out the set-up/
...
But we will also get info from the flip after the night phase, althoughI think unless there are people with day-time actions, we risk losing a pro-town player with nothing to go one, just guess work.
Nope, I'm better, got work to catch up on, but I'm physically better. =PBlue wrote:I hope that you're better now, if that isn't just a poor excuse.
@your case on Cyanide: I still don't like that you're trying to defend a case that is built on such flimsy foundation. Neither of them have done anything scummy outside of Cyanide's fluff, but I addressed that - you're essentially calling them out for putting aside personal grudges and playing the game.
May I ask why you joined a game with a player you were so sure you would want policy lynched?Parama wrote:In other words, I'm voting CYANIDE because, honestly, I don't want to play with him and many people in this game feel the same.
Oh the drama!
The ones you made today will, because they are not based on anything in the game.Parama wrote:My points will not be invalid tomorrow, will they?
Being town does not excuse anti-town behavior in any way.Parama wrote:I love how I always get called out for pushing Policy Lynches D1. I would link another recent game where the same thing happened (dram and SpyreX were/are also in that game) and I flipped town, unsurprisingly.
Meh, but that's a meta defense which I want none of.fos parama.
How is that possible if there hasn't been anything but fluff surrounding his situation?MehPlusRawr wrote:Cyanide (For the reasons I posted earlier, as a policy lynch, and as a test- if he comes up mafia,we've got a good chance of finding another mafia)
yessssssssss.SpyreX wrote:THIS IS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOR BECAUSE IT IS WHITE NOISE THAT DOES NO GOOD IN FINDING SCUM MY LORD WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO COMPREHEND.
In this wall of words the only thing you did that could even pretend to be useful was mentioning Farside's weird behavior towards you (which is weird, but I digress).
I don't like your tunneling (grrrr) but I agree that MPR is being not-very-town at all, soFate wrote:MehPlusRawr, when I'm tunneling someone I don't appreciate you coming and claiming scum.
But I don't mind it either.
HoS: MPRfos mehplusrawr.
really...MehPlusRawr wrote:but I couldn't really think of anything to write for Blue so I skipped it
and Jag stop bandwagoning all the time, kay? thanks.-

I hope this is a joke, as my comments toward Blue in that post may be the most important part.Fate wrote:@242: You don't mention blue in this post, yet your vote remains on him. Why?

I'll try to be more brief I guess.Fate wrote:Stop posting walls in 20 player games people, seriously.
Can't believe I missed this - Blue, you just called one of your only real "arguments" about your policy lynching agenda a joke. You realize how bad that looks, right?[/quote]Shrinehme wrote:You were joking about extreme WIFOM and accusing me of tunnel-vision, but you're suspicious of people who jumped on you you because of your "joke"?
Did I miss something here?-

MehPlusRawrstop trying to set up lynches, it never works and only ends up making you look bad later.

I agree with this and your case a couple posts before this.DTMaster wrote:This guy just back tracked on a huge wagon.fos chrono.-

Not reading and/or skimming is scummy because scum wouldn't need to read to know who they want to target, whereas town would want as much information as possible to figure out their suspicions.Fate wrote:Do you feel that not reading the thread is scummy? How is it?
(I ask because I personally haven't re-read the thread and probably won't read more than pages back until we get a flip)
Not re-reading the thread before day 1 begins isn't scummy imo (I haven't re-read, but I've done ISOs of Fate and Blue).-

Regardless of alignment (this isn't to say that I don't think he's scum/don't care that he's scum), Blue will give us the most informationParama wrote:I'm always the best wagon, but Shrine is another best wagon!
Stop voting Blue you morons!andhe simply isn't playing at this point. Not only is that simply annoying but I find it hard to believe he stopped talking when he was saved from his earlier fate because he's just SO town.-
