As town you tend to want people to come at you (during the night) whereas as scum you tend to say things that make people want to avoid targeting you

Like in retrospect in overkill if you had been a real pgo you wouldn't claim to avoid town targeting you, you'd just try to bait night kills, or at least that's how I think you would have played an actual pgo differently

As a general dynamic, as town you want committed decisions about you and other players. You saying "leave it for another day" is more the sort of "leave it alone dynamic" you had in overkill.

Also, if I AM supposed to be using the principles from compromise on you, shouldn't I be taking your first post town claim as a scumclaim?

Krazy I'm curious why you're basing your game around ofhrz and what the other slots think of them without really committing to your own read.

Nick's strength as scum is slipping under the radar entirely, he's one of the people I have a significantly above random chance at reading, but also someone who knows some of the metrics by which I read him and can try to play around me. Additionally, Nick I think has above random reads, but that we both solve better with some pushback on potentially incorrect reads. Neither of us have flawless day 1 reads but I think we can solve pretty well together, if he is town. Right now, I'm feeling Nick is town, and if he is town then his resistance to boom wagon and his leanscum on Airick are perhaps worth thinking about, either to correct his incorrect reads or to correct my own. It's surprising me that our reads aren't gelling more given that I think he's town, so understanding the slot is a priority for me.

Coming from Starcraft 2 Mafia has a different meta because games are like 20 minutes and so in 3 minute dayphases generally you claim pretty fast, but it also means he would know he needs a convincing fakeclaim very quickly so I think the speed of the claim is more 'other-site-meta' than indicative of him not really knowing how to play. Even so, claiming when you're not the leading wagon in Starcraft 2 Mafia would still be a ??? decision

The tonal shift makes sense for someone who is realizing this is really different from chat mafia. The bigger problem I have is still with his initial "voting you cause I don't like you" post because starcraft chat mafia is toxic as fuck and you had barely poked him at that point.

I mean, functionally this setup is follow-the-cop, except the town starts with an activated IC, masons, and the cop creates masonries instead of just getting innos

rolecop is a good start, alien is good too, but those are going to be delayed, reactive abilities to the proactive/passive abilities of the town. You can't 'alien' an activated IC away

I think the setup wasn't super bad but I think gates were reversed. The loyal neighborizor should have been even night and the mafia alien should have been ungated. That or maybe cut the IC role altogether (this would probably have been my preference)

If you're going to put a full cop [ln] and a full doctor [bab] in the setup, you either need millers or you need a full scum roleblocker; alien may be stronger than RB but it was also the only role that can do anything for scum on n2. Making it two-shot meant that it was very risky to use it carelessly early game before you had any hints of town power.

I know scum didn't lose this exclusively because of the night powers but I do think scum loses this setup more than 60% of the time probably
