1. There are generally two measurements for a role: recharge time and duration. Recharge time is the minimum allowed time between first using a role and when it can be reused again. For roles that it makes sense, there will also be a duration time. For example, a doctor with a 2 day duration time will protect someone from kills for two days. The recharge time is measured from the START of the duration, not the end.
2. All lynches and actions are considered to be done instaneously. Obviously I can't be on all the time, so they will be posted as soon as possible. Things will be done in the order that I receive them by PM or in the case of lynches when majority is reached/7 days is up.
Please don't edit your PMs once sent
3. There will be little to no flavor. My goal is to get the actions out as soon as I'm able, and given the nature of the game, flavor would make things slower.
4. More specific information may be listed in your role PM.
5. If you try to use an ability but it fails for some reason (e.g. roleblocked, doc save), the recharge time is HALF of its normal time or 4 days, whichever is longer.
6. There will be at least three vanilla townies and possibly more. All roles are flavorless although obviously changes have to be made to fit the mechanic.
7. In the event I will be away for more than half a day, the game may be PAUSED.
8. The game will only be called if there is one theoretical outcome and it is obvious it will happen. I will be very conservative in calling a game.
9. Actions may not be "queued" before your action is active. In other words, your PM with an action must come after your power has fully recharged. After it has recharged, you may PM me with a time in the future you want to do your action. Once you have sent an action, it cannot be recalled.
10. Actions that are shown publicly (e.g. the result of a mafia or vigil kill) will be time stamped for when the PM was sent.
Lynching and voting.
1. The town may lynch every 7 days or later.
2. At the end of 7 days, the last player to receive a majority will be lynched.
3. There are no unvotes, but you may vote "no lynch." If a majority are voting for "no lynch" at the end of 7 days, no one is lynched, even if someone else previously had the majority. No one is lynched until someone has a majority.
General Rules:
1. Have fun.
2. Bold all votes. Unvotes of any kind will be ignored. Self-votes are ignored.
3.
Blue is my color. Don't use it
4. Normal jerkwad things are banned. You should know what they are, but an example would be using invisible text. Or quoting the role PM (yes, this includes talking about the role pm structure).
5. No quoting from mason or neighbor chat.
6. I reserve the right to do anything I want.
7. Times are in EST unless stated otherwise. As this game relies HEAVILY on timing, you should know exactly your relationship to the US Eastern time zone.
8. I am strict on activity. Those who don't post at least once a day without going on V/LA are at risk of being replaced without warning.
Roles Included:
1. Roles will be altered to fit the game, might be different from the norm, combined, etc. Roles will not have flavor.
2. All roles included will be at least based on or use the roles in this list.
A final thought:
Using your role as soon as it's available might not always be the best call. For example, if you're a doctor and you want to protect against a mafia kill, you might try and predict when the mafia kill is coming. As mafia, if you suspect the doctor is trying to predict when you're killing, you might try and outsmart them by waiting until their power is used up.

You may post as much as you want. Please confirm in here, and feel free to post anything else you want. I won't count votes until the game starts, but you can do it if you want.
I just want to highlight one thing. While I won't be doing anything for activity in the Pregame, once the game starts you will be expected to post at least once a day (counting the weekend as one day). I reserve the right to replace anyone who does not do so without warning. The concept has proven popular, so I do have some people waiting to replace in.
While once won't get you replaced, repeated lurking (active or otherwise) might. I do this because this game revolves pretty heavily around timing in a way that other games do not.
All this is to say: if you're going away for a while, post a V/LA warning.
I won't start the game earlier than January 2nd. This game relies heavily on timing and is (hopefully) balanced on a pretty fine line. Therefore to mess with that might disadvantage a side and throw it off. Also, I know at least a couple of people in this game who have said they'd be on V/LA and it's not fair to punish them.
Also, strategy-wise, we should probably lynch almost as frequently as we're allowed to avoid too many scum NKs. Therefore, I expect EVERYONE who stops by the thread to drop a vote on someone at some point. Delaying a lynch too long in this game is VERY scummy.
Let's say for sake of argument that scum can NK once every 8 days. By lynching immediately every 7 days, scum get 7 NKs for every 8 lynches we get. Basically, we'd be one kill ahead of scum the entire game. Now let's say we lynch once every 9 days. Scum get 9 NKs for every 8 lynches we can make. Basically, we'd be one kill behind scum all game.
It's probably not a huge deal to delay several hours or a day or so, but any more than that can be very dangerous if scum can kill often enough.

we can lynch only one person in every 7 days. so we need to make sure someone has the majority votes for some time before the 7 days period end.
