I think the early stages of the game can be useful, rather than just a way of joking around for 2-3 pages. We can't just ignore everything that happens there by saying that "it's the random stage" and not everyone should be expected to be "random"

There was a thread about this not long ago. Long story short is "

Random votes should never be random

" I've always seen them as a valid point of start, as it gives us something to start discussing (like this meta-discussion)

It seems MBF feels he should not be held accountable for his actions and should not have to explain himself. That is very suspicious if you ask me.

I remember that ryan, Lloyd and ooba didn't give a reason for their first vote, yet you focus only on MBF (For a L-5 vote? O_o)

1. I would count your FOS as blatant OMGUS, since you didn't give any real reasons to suspect (other than "guaranteeing a scum jumped on your wagon")
2. That was noncommittal as hell. I mean, I could say "I suspect everyone because I don't know any roles, but since I'm townie I can assume there's at least 1 scum among you people"

It's come to my atention that Eljcko suddenly dropped the case on me before my claim, but never explained why (other than "I don't really like the case on Andy" on435 right after "I want an explanation from Andy" in 421)
