Kling, I am human. I have learned to not post as much because IDK how many people have told me that I need to learn to do that. I have learned that sometimes its better to wait and not give what I am observing as soon as I see it and allow things to develop. I'm still working on this, but I find it could be a really good strategy to wait to say something to see if it continues and then drop the bomb on scum. currently working on learning how to stay active and not bring up that one thing I notice that could be damming to scum right away. also, playing in more games at a time can help with this as well for me.

It's definitely an improvement. A lot of us can't/won't read wallposts. One player posting more than everyone else combined clogs up the thread. So yeah, you're doing much better. Best to deliver information in small doses so we can pick everything apart one item at a time.

I'm not getting any solid reads right yet, everyone ranges between probable Town(Human) and leaning Human.

I do need to hear more from ShadedMelee and Marcrell.

I'm going to say something right now. All summer long every game I've been in was fucked up to some degree by players signing up then abandoning their slot after a couple of posts, Town & Scum alike. Unless there's a R/L emergency, I'm voting to lynch all replace-outs' slots.

Marcrell has a reputation here. My own experience with him is as Scum, where he'll post a few times and then flake out of the game. As long as he posts and stays current he looks Townish to me.

A lot of players can't handle being Scum. Putting on the act of being a Townie is too stressful for them. (Keep in mind the days here last weeks.) So they lurk, and lurk, and then flake off. But then when they're Town, they stay and are engaged and post regularly and everything's cool.

The problem is deciding who is trusted and who isn't. A trusts B and C, but doesn't trust D. A passes a tape to B, who forwards the message to C. C trusts D so he sends the message on to her. A was right in not trusting D, D is Scum and now D has A, B, and C's information.

I suggest limiting the size of trusted groupings, at least for now.

I like this. It's how I like to play, psychological meta over gameplay meta. I found out the hard way that it has its flaws, though.

Not to get into the details, but this summer was pure hell for me. I'm finally past that and working my way out of the PTSD. What I went through has thrown me off, not just as a player, but as a person, so my psychological meta needs rebuilt.

My gameplay meta can't be trusted at all. I never did play two games the same way, everything adjusts to the game type & size, and the playerbase.

But over the course of the past few months I found out that a whole bunch of members here have been going through some karmic shit themselves. I'm convinced someone is Scum, then find out they've had some major tragedy at it affected their game, or I'm convinced someone's Town, but no, their doctor gave them some happy pills and they're just feeling more confident than usual.

So I'm having problems reading people.

My meta is not really having a meta. My playstyle changes from game to game and is very heavily influenced by RL.

I got very drunk Monday night, I haven't done that in over 15 years. It was Titus joining that really worried me. If she started one of her death tunnels on one of us before we got both our kills in Scum would be in real trouble. Like Elbirn said, we thought Lickety was the Reviver, so with him saving a kill and Titus leading a Scum lynch - and wasn't there softing about her having a kill power?

I spent much of the past 24 hours biting my nails all the way up to my elbows.

I go into every game with the expectation that all PTs will be released, so certainly you have my permission.

You'll see there that I brought in a common tactic from another site.

Maybe if there was someone you totally trusted as Town you could send them a tape with your abilities and any solid info you had on other players, like "I'm the Cop, I investigated X and Y, X is Scum and Y is Town."

It was hard setting up the mislynches, other than Marcrell's. You guys were so very obvTown.
