Hmm...damn, I leave for 3 hours come back and there are like 2 full pages of new posts.

Things I noticed:

Net is overreacting a bit too much, and as someone else said, an "excited noob". From experience, the new players that are happy to play are either a. Really desparate and cant find anything else to do on the internet, or b. Power roles that want to use them.

I have an urge to say its b, but im not sure if its a scum role or a town power role that he could be.

After preview: Net, are you saying that you are watching over us? From the way I take it, your a doctor, and you just blew your cover, screwing the rest of us over.

Something else, Albert seems very urged to go and get votes against net, which from net's slip up makes me think that he is a scum going against known townies (in this case, the doctor)

Your argument is coming from a logical standpoint, and I respect that. However allow me to defend myself:

1. I have FoS'd net long before his slip. Just check history.

2. I never voted against net; in fact, I even suggested that he and Occult aren't both mafia because of net's prompt reflex accusation against Occult (just check the times of posting). He would've thought twice about this strategy if they were scumbuddies; especially since he's a newbie.

3. I think that voting for me, while not an unreasonable action given the circumstances, is a mistake. I firmly believe I will be useful if I stay connected to the server.

With this, I will lay low for the next couple of hours.

1. I know that, and I originally just took it as a random accusations to start the game. But here Net has gone and practially told us he is a Doctor from my best guess, and you still are going after him.

2. You didnt want to vote, but you did put an FoS at him, which to me means you wanted to vote, but didnt want to risk it (possibly because your scum buddies havent posted yet?)

If you really want to know, you can make a list of every single possible role that could exist in a mafia game, and that would be a list of possible roles.

I hate to say this, but I think you may have made a wrong choice with going into this game without a firm grasp of how it works. You would probably be more suited going with a more forgiving Newbie game.

but net said that after he was criticized for what he said. In the original context of his post, it was as if he was referring to someone that would protect him through the night, like a doctor.

I see no reason to remove my vote right now. Sure that means you will keep a vote on me, but 1 vote out of the 7? needed to lynch is just that...one vote. And how would our votes staying on each other prevent discussion of what to do next?

I will admit I have made mistakes, and no I am not afraid to admit them. The fact that net did turn up Doctor and you had gone after him both before and after his "slip-up" makes me feel that you wanted him dead.

When the game is just starting, sometimes you want to just put pressure out there with no real motif. You can learn alot from the way people respond to threats with no basis behind them. If somehow they get lynched, one can usually deduce who is scum based on who would be crazy enough to lynch someone very early in the game.

I think Occult has an ability that is reliance upon the number of posts in the thread? Like...a spam god, if people spam he gets stronger?

Response to Occult's 168: I have suspected Albert since even though net slip up like that, Albert still criticized net before and after that, claiming that net was scum. Net had basically role claimed, and yet Albert was like "ok, lets lynch him still". That is why I voted for Albert.

Well, I guess then we both are avoiding each others questions. You want the answers to what I said about you and net, then you will have to also give the answer to why you called them your friend. Either you are

Might as well shut the hell up and reveal the truth, because I'm going to die anyways. Im a doctor, not sure why, but I was a vanilla until net's mod kill, when I inherited his doctor powers. I should also reveal what happened with net. He sent me a PM saying something like "dude WTF I'm the doc". I sent it to the mod being the fair player that I am, and the rest happened.

Well I originally was hoping net would only be replaced due to his lack of experience when I forwarded the PM to mod. When I saw him modkilled, I felt a bit guilty because of the damage that would be done to the town. Im guessing the mod saw this and then gave me power to both throw off scum as well as make it so the town didnt suffer that much from net.

I originally felt the taunts at net (with the wiki link etc.) were you trying to make him do something stupid so you would be able use that against him.

I really don't like going with assumptions based on play style. Same reason I don't incorporate plays used in other games, they almost never work.

I don't trust Albert fully, but I also don't want to lynch him right now. There are right now 8 of us alive. Worse case says there are 3 scum and 1 SK (numbers normal I've seen in minis), and we mislynch. 3 Scum, 1 SK, 3 Town left. If both hit tonight, we go down to 1 Town, 3 Scum, 1 SK, and we lose.

The problem is though is that Albert may very well be the SK. If he is, we lose, because the mafia will be able to hit me and take the win by 3-3.

As uneasy as I feel going with this, TM is either a crazed townie, or is mafia threatened by the prospect of the SK winning.

Lynching a townie today will not guarantee a scum win. However, lyncing the SK will. As much Albert is guilty, We cant NOT lynch the SK today.

Theres 8 left, presumably 4 town, 3 scum, 1 SK.

We lynch town today.
3 town, 3 scum, 1 sk going into night.
Worst case scenario, both hit townies, scum win.
If SK-Scum cross-kill, we get 3 town, 2 scum going into tomorrow.
Or if scum hit town and SK hits scum, left is 2 town, 2 scum, 1 sk.

We lynch SK today.
4 town, 3 scum go into night
Scum hits town, 3-3, scum wins.

If the SK is lynched today, this is an auto-lose for town. By lynching anyone else, we are pressing our luck with hopes that cross-kills and/or same-kills go through.

Now...if you were a townie, would you rather take the auto-loss, or let the NKs decide our fate? I would still like to move on, even if we are fighting a losing battle, we have a slim chance for success.

I'm not saying I actually trust Al either. I just know that the possibility of him being the SK is so real, we need to be cautious regarding him.

There is an easy way out for the scum to kill not having to worry about my ability. Take into account the restrictions of the doctor, and you will understand what I mean. There is a way to easily negate the possibility of hitting someone who is doc protected.

TM basically said what I was trying not to say. Doc's can't self-prot, and my role is no different. The scum/SK could easily take me out without worrying who I protect.

I am not fully sure how the nights work exactly in each game. If its done by timestamps (the order that the mod receives PMs), then it will be a race to get my pm in before the kill pm. If not, then I can definitely protect someone else.

The question is...is Albert scum, or an SK?

We can't hit the SK today, and all I know is that this is going to be a close game.

I am not scum. Jordan seems to think that either me or Haut Boy is, and that Silim is the second scum. This is where I start to doubt Jordan's claim of Mason, thinking he really might be the scum. I find this unlikely because someone would have most likely counterclaimed as the real mason in the while since Jordan was found out to be one.

Albert, you realize that if you hit me, you also are losing this game? The only way for either town or SK to win is to have all three of us (me, you, jordan) to lynch a scum. If not, scum wins guaranteed.

Also, if I am not town, then Haut Boy would have to be town. Now, if I was scum, why would I put my partner at ly-1? Jordan seems to think against voting Haut Boy. Why, in that case, would I not vote for the one that is guaranteed to be scum?

Haut, Jordan, and Silm all look really suspicious to me, but I'm pretty adamant with regards to Jordan's townie claim.

As for going after Silm or Haut...I don't know. I feel that by going with either I am walking into someone's trap.

Haut, if you really are the SK, why are you going after Albert, when its impossible to prove to the others who is who? It leaves Silm open, and he would have to be the second scum.

Before I leave for the night as well, I pose a question to you both. Why do you insist on going after each other instead of going after the person who is almost guaranteed to be scum? One of you would have to have it as your scum partner, and the other would be the SK. Tell me why the SK would not want to take out someone who is guaranteed scum at the moment?

Good game Haut Boy. Albert, you really had me a while back, I probably should have tryed to pursue you more in Day 1, but laxed back a little when Who Me acted a bit more scummy.

And apparently, I find it ironic that I was randomly chosen to be the backup doc before the game, when compared to how what happened to net. But I will admit, I did suck here as doctor. If I have time later I'll post the reasoning for my actions.

Yea this was a fun game, and I probably would do it again, but hopefully it won't be in the next month (I'm gone from June 20-July 12).
