This just isn't true. I never said I was convinced desp was telling the truth. I simply made the judgement that a mantis lynch is objectively the RIGHT lynch.

They're arguing that probability that Desp is scum is > probability that Mantis is scum,

and therefore, the objectively right lynch is thrown out the window

I'll admit I haven't completely decided whom to believe, but unless you anyone knows with 100% certainty who is telling the truth, mantis is the better lynch. My reads so far have had Nati/mantis as town and desp as scum, so I really want to believe them. On the other hand Occam's razor doesn't like Nati's description above at all, as it requires a decent level of scheming by the scumteam. It also requires that the scumteam felt desp was a certain lynch for today, which I'm not sure is true.

As to why mantis is the optimal lynch if you're unsure which side you believe, it comes down to information and desp being a claimed PR. If we wrongly lynch desp, we've lynched a PR, whereas wrongly lynching mantis only costs us a neighbour. If mantis flips town, we know to instalynch desp, whereas if she flips scum, desp is basically conftown and nati is likely scum.

IT feels like you have ignored her for most of the game, but haven't really said "Peng's town" or "Peng's scum." It's all been UNSURE, or "IDK". That's the feeling I get.

Penguin has been PASSIVE all game. ALL GAME LONG. I haven't been confident with my read on her, but I haven't liked her ALL GAME long. Even when Wisdom was here, she/he was getting on my nerves but there was SO MUCH NOISE going on. That day was a day of swinging wagons, very swingy. She/he is the enigma that's hard to read, but the VIBE I get has been SCUM.

The problem is she/he is very calculated, composed, and calm in his/her posts and there's lots of logical/roudnabout points that it's HARDER to read right away and say strongly YOU ARE SCUM, DIE.

Even Desp was an enigma for the most part, and it was like he was a TROLL at times. You shoudl see the way he responded to me and poked back at me, annoyed me big time. Like the beginning of the game, or D2 when we were arguing with Desp and Wisdom.

You, you have just disappeared opportunistically, and you did it in an adorable way where you just avoided us during the mainstages of D2. That was a HUGE information day, for all intents and purposes!!!

And you would only get interested, or so you say, at the beginning of the day, and if the deadline came near. And now that you're on the verge of winning as scum, you're here a LOT more often. Why I am soooooo surprsied
