As far as THE SCUM go,

This GreyICE = scum because he wasn't nightkilled is the dumbest fucking argument I've ever heard. GreyICE is oozing town. However, the argument that he is scum is also SO bad I cannot see LLD making it unless she actually believed it, so she's probably town too (plus I had a town read on her otherwise).

They're a nice town pair.

I WAS GOING to come out today with kdub as being a primary suspect, but that fact that the kill was not stopped by my roleblock on him at least reduces the chance is scum.

Rhinox I honestly have no read on because I have been looking specific patterns in scum behavior and he hasn't really been in any of them. Should probably reexamine later.

That leaves two people.

1) CES.

This guy is the scumbag here. First, because of all the analysis I did yesterday about how the scum were going to work together. CES has done exactly that.

But second, because of another theory that I have brewing. I'm going to wait until this massclaim is finished to pop it, but when it hits, it'll be a doozy. I think.

2) ToastyToast. He's probably my second scumread, slightly ahead of Kdub. I disagree with everyone that was like "omg his reaction to being psedolynched was soooo town." It's not that fucking hard to fake emotion as scum. And it's not as if toasty has been town otherwise.

Basic plan:

1) Lynch CES
1a) Determine Rhinox's alignment
2) Lynch Toasty and/or Kdub
3) Lynch the person who wasn't lynched in 2).
4) Profit.

I think all of your arguments really underestimate Toasty. They all basically reduce to "well scum wouldn't want to do that." Isn't that the CORE of WIFOM? Scum DO have an incentive to engage in "town motivated" behavior ... so they APPEAR TOWN. Moreover, AFA I can remember, Toasty is a IRL friend of Andrius' and has been following along with mafia for long before he actually made an account. I'd bet money that Toasty has gotten a decent amount of coaching from Andrius (not necessarily on this game, but on how to play in general).

The other thing that makes me uncomfortable about Toasty is the way he is approaching the game. Yes, he's giving lots of positions on things ... but look at his actual methods of analysis. He calls out random town reads on extremely controversial figures (like Jahudo) and then maintains for 4 weeks that his top scumread is my slot (aka the lurker slot). The reads are too convenient without substantive analysis to back them up (of which Toasty gives us none).

Combined with what I just said about him being underestimated? Add in that I temporarily forgot VI WAS SCUM. I'm sure she was coaching THE SHIT out of Toasty in the QT.

tl;dr - his positions are too convenient, the "town motivation" you talk about could easily be arising from coaching

Honestly, I've been a little bogged down so I still haven't had a chance to actually re-read her with a confirmed scumread yet. But I will this week, promise.

What gave you the scumread on LLD when you made your claim that made you gambit that way? That was simply the most dismissive read (which leads me to believe you) but what lead you down that path in the first place?

It was her calling you scum for not being killed that first tipped me off. LLD's not that thick - she would NEVER make that argument without an ulterior motivation. So I looked for other patterns like that in her play. She's been doing this thing where she tries to lead around people who she thinks she can manipulate while being combatative with the people she thinks she can't. You can see really great examples of this today alone (e.g., her calling you and me the scumteam because she knows we aren't going to buy her bullshit, while trying to pull toasty's strings because she thinks he'll respond to her), but she does it the whole game, really. it's solid scum strategy - but ever since brotherhood, I've been on the LOOKOUT FOR HER.

What are the odds the scum nokilled? Assuming it's 50/50 either way, even if you hit scum you have to question it. Why did you come roaring out the gates for LLD rather than sit back and report results?

It is better scum strategy to kill because it gets rid of a strong town voice. If they nokill, there's a decent chance I hit scum anyway, benefiting them nothing. Also, if they kill, there's a chance I hit the non-killing scum and "psudo clear" them. The benefits of kill outweigh that of non-kill.

Yes, but you were also on my list the when I first came in to this game. My entry into this game was kinda rushed (I replaced in because Fate asked me to and I owed him a favor for replacing into my game), so I didn't have time to fully think out how to use what is actually a relatively difficult role to play. I roleblocked you because you seemed like a good candidate for lurkerscum, and I thought "lolz well thats a good strategy." I wasn't able to fully formulate my plan until later.

The second she started making the, "GI is still alive, so he's scum" arguments. At that moment, my suspicion of LLD-scum was set, but I knew as a replacement coming into a flakeslot I wouldn't have the political capital to lynch LLD just through argumentation. I also knew LLD was really good at manipulating people, so I needed to use my role to catch her. So I thought up this plan.

Anyway, since there's 3 votes on me and no quickhammer, that means both of the scum are in LLD, Toasty, and Rhinox. I'm going to go with my suspicion from earlier and say Toasty is the buddy. As for all the other 5-6 pages of BLAH BLAH back and forth - it's an embarrassment to what Fate calls a GOOD PLAYERLIST. Really didn't have any strategy other than as soon as I got my scum role PM I knew I was going to buddy with GreyICE and let him blast the path to victory. The roleblocker gambit was not planned - I faked roleblocker because my jailkeeper fakeclaim blew, I didn't understand how the roles were formatted on the first page, and I had already been stalling a lot, so I decided to claim something close to my actual role rather than VT so I didn't fuck it up. Then I figured so long as I was doing that I might as well troll GreyICE and LLD a bit for beating me in Brotherhood of the Wolf (and I thought it would be fitting to gambit in a game moderated by Fate), so I faked the guilty. The no lynch was NOT part of the plan, but fortunately it all worked out okay in the end.
