Clearly, you are doing something you in your own mind think is scummy, or at least suspect. I know this because otherwise you wouldn't of been conscious if you did it, or commented on it. Why is chain saw defense scummy? Should we lynch anyone that does it?
I was doing something in my mind that some people might consider scummy.

The "/notchainsawdefending" was a joke, and I considered the point which I was "Defending" to be a joke (If that was serious, no comment >_>).

As for my opinions on your questions, no. I've yet to see reason as to why it's scummy.

If people consider it scummy, and it raises your chance of been mislynched is you are town, why would you even comment on it?
Because I figured most people would assume i'm joking, and they probably wouldn't ml me for that.

Vote: Ross

Why would a vote fo him help "hear more" about his role? Does not compute in my book.

Dripping, thanks for pointing that out, would've went right under my radar due to rvs.

I explained the vote. The vote is to apply pressure.

Yet you said it was to apply more pressure to get more information about that role. That's what I want explained, as I don't see how a vote for pressure is necessary for more information about a role.
Sorry, but being cryptic, and not revealing whole truths doesn't help the town.

And how was he/she/it being cryptic? I want you to elaborate on that.
I like how you're the one defending her the hardest when she's the one adamantly claiming you're town and refusing to vote for you. Doesn't make you look so good.
So what are you going to do? Start a bandwagon on me?

If you want like, say, a character claim, I'm pretty sure DGB would be happy to tell. Adding pressure is completely unnecessary, especially because "She was being cryptic"

Claiming who you are, I.e a secret agent or something like that.

*facepalm*

"Nearly" as in exactly the same, except "secret agent" is replaced with "quadruple hated ______"

Have you and DGB been granted access to see his eachothers roles? That would explain why she wouldn't vote you.

I would guess that Dark Horse and DGB have some role connection that lets them see eachother's flavor text or maybe the entire role.
If we do, its one-way. Rememeber how I almost "hammered" DGB in rvs?

Also, you know how the maf probably have sme sort of code to communicate with each other? What if his message means something in code?

This is where you almost hammer DGB. You didn't. You didn't need to make this post. Typing that you were about to hammer DOES NOT mean you were about to hammer. The one service this post can do is giving you something to link back to later and say "Look, we couldn't be related! I almost hammered her!"

You didn't.

Also, the character names thing...what are you grasping at with that? I'm curious.
If he claimed something like "most popular secret agent", that doesn't seem like a role that would be hated, does it? Depending on what he claimed and how that could relate to being quad-hated, it could increase/decrease the authenticucy (pretty sure I spelled that wrong) of his quad-hated claim.
DH/DGB. IF not a scumbuddy, why would DGB absolutely refuse to vote him?
I honestly don't know. However, I keep thinking it's some sort of scum code, though I'm not 100% of this.

Ross, faking quad-hammered could be a trap set for the mafia, as if they tried to hammer DGB, they would get caught. Unfortunatley, the mafia might've been suspicious of DGB being quad-hated, and didn't try to hammer.

Does this look like it has townie intent?

DGB, am I anywhere close?

So are you going to outright claim scum, or are you going to try to act like a power role instead?
How does it rea as a PR/scum and not somebody who played enough games to know that you don't add some PR abilities without giving them a different name (the only exception to this is a game offsite that I read, the sample role pm was also the mafia godfather)?

If this is the best you can do, I am disappoint.

Darox, it's because if, for some reason, we revert to the Ross wagon, I couldn't make it during the deadline and the town might be forced to Nl.

Thats also why I didn't vote him immediately

*facepalm* that's not Strawmanning...

Strawmanning is twisting an opponent's point instead of countering it

Ex:

Person A: I think we shouldvremoce the nuclear submarines from Russia
Person B: so you want to wipe Russia off the face of the earth

Tour example is actually a valid point, as beers are intoxicants.

DGB, I've seen games where a no lynch occured, and the biggest bw was lynched the next day, resulting in maf getting a free night kill.

@ant

It's because you don't seem to realize that he wasn't paraphrasing it, he was twisting what I was saying.

Notice how you say what "he boiled it down to". Just saying that from an opposing side is Strawmanning.

I'm referring to your "I thought town was after information, but scum was after specific information" defense of ross, because AFAIK, that's never the case. At least, town doesn't vote that person while asking information.

Jester, attacking a point is a defense in pretty much everything: you're trying to nullify the points from an attacker at one person.

The fact that you didn't know this, and your noob card play make me think your scum.

@ palmer

Specify what you were asking to when you asked "Do you still not get it"? I can't tell if you're referring to the most popular secret agent claim or your abbreviation

As fro who thinks his case is bad, that would be my yself and potentially the people that haven't given their opinions.

Thor, couple of problems:

1.a)Jokey to serious ratio concern?
On the first page
?
b) what about my response to gud's questions? Are those "Not serious"?

2. a)You claim that ross cop-out vote is "inane" logic. I would like you to elaborate on this.
b) What's more, you say my vote-hopping is a scumtell, yet it doesn't seem like you considered that my original vote on vezo was RVS, and my vote on ross wasn't. Second, you claim that I was simply parroting. Does agreeing with DGB any more parroting then agreeing with someone else?

3. Puesdo-clearing yourself? Seriously?

4. Your general lack of evidence. Most of your reads have next to nothing backing them (I.E Vezo and later Ghostlin)

5. Basing your overall reads when you've only read up to page 11 doesn't help

Thor665 wrote:@Dark Horse - you see problems and I see none at all.
Then you are blind
1. a) Yes. Your point?
b) And yet your ratio was still weak, your point?
THe first couple of pages are usually RVS (such as in this game), where people joke around. THe fact that you are attacking me for that is like attacking an RVS vote for not being serious.
2. a) You mean to tell me that when you parroted DGB's "case" you fully understood its nuances and agreed with it? Why didn't you vote for him earlier than? Yes, it was inane.
b) I would like you to quote where I said vote hopping was a scumtell. Untill you do all i hear is "meep, meep, meep" which is the sound of made up accusations. And, yes, you were parroting DGB; here's the timeline...
Thor, ross had wanted to vote for DGB for "Information", yet he had
never
specified what. The vote was probably less of a "Vote for information" moreso a vote to try and get DGB lynched, with "Information" as a cop-out reason. Unlike other types, I cannot directly see the information the could happen with that vote
3. I'll guess I've replaced someone I had a town read on - did you have a scum read on that player? If not, why does this worry you?
Essentially trying to clear yourself. YEs, I do have a problem with it.

Veridis and antB were flying under the radar, and I had them interchangeably pegged as the last scum. When I would try and remember what the two said, I would remember less of antB. After I said I thought that antB was the last scum, his reaction was horrible (Appearing out of no where, and asking nothing more than questions). However, you're starting to fall under my scumdar a bit more.
4. Meta and Gut respectiuvely - I consider both of my cases to be equal to or superior to every other case presented in the game up to the point I'm reading. Which cases do you think were better?
You probably know the answer to this.

Xalxe was lynched because he refused to vote ross when we were near the deadline scrambling for a lynch. It seemed that Xalxe was ross' scumbuddy, either trying to save ross or cause an nl.

No explantion for the vote, just a bunch of quotes.

Also, if it's because I said you were only asking questions, that was because I hadn't seen you take solid stances until this post. You just seemed to be asking questions.

I said nothing about lack of reason for his vote.
You know, splitting hairs like this leads credence to the idea you're scummy: if you have nothing to hide as town, you'd volunteer the information if it was correct regardless.
Ghostlin, we were talking about two different things. Also, while ross did give reasons for his votes, the reason were awful.
Ghostlin wrote:
Dark Horse wrote:It's his noobcard
This is an burden of experience, which is a lot like a burden of proficiency argument. Unless you're making this your only case that he plays the n00bcard, in which case this isn't. A case, really.
fascinating...

I would like you to explain what burden of proficiency is, and how it let's you get away with playig a noob card.
Ghostlin wrote:Hrm. Has anyone else read DH in iso lately? It's kinda interesting. There are a number of passive aggressive posts, such as "/not chainsaw defending"
God, you're seriously going there...

Look what I was defending: Xalxe saying that ross william is a henchmen-sounding name. Had I been trying to "notdefend" something that legit pertains to this game, maybe, but this isn't anywhere close.

I've noticed that no one thinks of what I was defending when I said that, just what I said.
"So what are you going to do? Start a bandwagon on me." an interesting gem where he deflects pressure off of DGB
I was actually being cocky. I was pretty much daring him to try and see how far it got. His reaction: Nothing. He didn't even try.
He asks for a character claim, which would have been interesting if we had gotten distinct flavor in each ones, but from what I'm seeing more and more from flips it is either "superspy" or probably for scum "henchman":
You're using posthumous evidence; all flips happened after I said that.

You;ve also not explained how that statement is in any way anti-town.

He accuses Jester of playing the n00bcard, but yet ignores the ignorance in setup that DGB displays. "Twice doctor protected" my ass.
I took DGB's as a null tell: I don't see how scum would know and/or do such a thing , I don't see how indy would know/do such a thing, and I didn't know how town would know/do such a thing.

Jester's noobcard is directly scummy though.
Contradicts himself sorta by continuing to alternate that there's more he's said about Jester (no, you've not, really you've focused and tunneled on the n00bcard most of the game). And then the information you wanted to hear post is just...no. Come on, you couldn't have just told him what he wanted to know?

No I haven't. If you count the constant denial of the rhetorical question, his constant noobcard, that's more than just tunneling on one event.

On BoP: Read the wiki. No, I'm not kidding; it has a lot about logical fallacies there.
I did.

It's not there.
You seem to be basing your vote entirely on whether Jester's claiming he's a newbie. You could say a number of things, such as his propensity to hide in the background; the fact he seems to join wagons, et all. But you have been tunnelling on the n00bcard. You say you have muitiple reasons for doing what you're doing, provide those 'muitiple' reasons.
1.several wagon jooining, including partially sprouting the vezo
wagon
2. Now that you mentioned it, fading away non sporadically
3. Chainsawing defedning ross, and his constant denial of it.
4. His noobcard play
You also seem to be making the argument that because he plays the n00bcard, he's hiding behind his inexperience; which isn't an excuse. That's fine. But you have yet to explain how his inexperience is directly a scumtell.
That fact that he's hiding behind it is a scum tell.

WHy would a townie need an excuse for their scummy behavior the way scum do?
DGB's comment about twice Doctor protected is only signfanct if you use the rationale that being twice Doctor protected makes one much more likely to be town admist two nokills. With the rule set set up, you can't make this assumption OR even the assumption the scum innately want DGB dead. If you accept that twice protected=no night kills=exceedingly protown, it is in fact a scummy thing to say.
Yet why would he say it if he was scum? I'm pretty sure someone like DGB knows that saying something as scummy as that would bring attention.

okay

So, around the end of D2, I had suddenly realized that antb was actually in this game. That was the reason behind my post right before darox hammered "where the hell is antB"? I took this suspicion into D3, where, magically, he came back. When he first started posting again, he had not really been making any noticeable stances. However, then thor leads a lynch on me, and he suddenly follows, by posting some quotes and voting me.

Darox apparently doesn't understand this.
