LOL, you really think i'm going to give you more information to work with, Mr. Scum?Nai wrote:BJ, you are already getting flack, and now you're trying again? Unless you're a cop, you're making really stupid plays here.
I've got a question for anyone that cares to answer: Does anyone have a role ability that has anything to do with their role name?
unvote(if i'm even voting at all, i'm too lazy to check right now)

i've been working on a new system for keeping track of posts, votes, etc., so i didn't have a post count until just a few minutes ago. anyway, BabyJesus has twice as many posts as anybody else. the reason i am pointing at him is b/c the last game i played where one player had significantly more posts than any other, that person was scum, and the reason he was posting so much, was b/c he was controlling the flow of the conversation. not necessarily scummy in and of itself, BabyJesus, butIGMEOY-

i'm not sure what your agenda is, but why do you want to know? if i was to tell you that my role name is relevant to my role (which may or may not be true), would that make you believe my role more? i think the fact that we had a President who was just a vanilla townie, should let us know to be more careful in making people role claim.Nai wrote:Raj, I'm only asking if the ability has anything to do with the name. We lynched Bamboomancer partially because no one could believe that he was just a plain towny with his role name. I didn't ask for any information beyond that. For crying out loud...-

Unofficial Vote Count
BabyJesus - 4 (bloojay, Nai, rajrhcpfreak, stark)
This is not me - 2 (BabyJesus, Tamuz)
Nai - 1 (LyingBrian)
rajrhcpfreak - 1 (NanookTheWolf)
stark - 1 (Cubsfan4ever)
LOL, i like how you turn the argument back onto me BabyJesus, very nicely done! the fact that you are being so defensive concerning you post count, makes me wonder if my perception has struck a nerve.BabyJesus wrote:Are my post that much higher, or are others posts that much lower here....
what do you think about roleclaiming, now, BabyJesus, or would you like me to vote for you first?-

i believe it is a valid reason for a FOS, but your reaction after the FOS gives me a valid reason to vote for you.

I think we would like you to roleclaim, BabyJesus!-

what makes him useful then? with this argument at best, he is a "townie that has a spiffy title" (thanks Nai), at worst, he is scum who came up with a crappy & BS roleclaim.rajrhcpfreak wrote:it depends on his name... maybe him not knowing his partner is part of the flavor of his role...
according to BabyJesus' Day 1 logic, he would be a safe lynch. i'm not saying we should lynch him just yet, i think we need more discussion, but at the same time, i don't think we should turn the pressure off either.-

he is a hypocrite, and I'd vote hypocrites before liars and annoying people, since they are scumtastic
BabyJesus wrote: Oh, seeing as how I am a mason, I will probably be viewed as dirty soon....
can you please explain this for me, BabyJesus, sounds like there is some background that i'm unfamiliar with.BabyJesus wrote: was I viewed bad as a mason again....
can you give me a specific example. i would still like to understand the purpose of a mason who can not speak with his mason buddy!?!BabyJesus wrote: almost every mini I've been in has had a serial killer. i'm not fully convinced as i can come up with names from the song that have a better connection than "punk rock" and "rock and roller cola wars", but with a good explanation (an example, would be nice, too), i'll probably unvote.-

when i first saw this post, my thoughts were "Wow, BabyJesus is cooperating, this is unusual!" then i clicked the link, and i must admit i did give a little chuckle. anyway, if BabyJesus is going to bother giving me an explanation (i have told you guys i'm still rather green, right! this understanding isn't just for this game), i don't think i'll bother unvoting...BabyJesus wrote:

i have more propensity to believe bloojay right now than you BabyJesus! also, what is your reason for your vote on me, BabyJesus?
we haven't played together at all unless you're in the civil war. basically, the vote for bloojay was almost random. i wanted to start some discussion and get reactions, and decided a tongue-in-cheek vote was the way to go.Cubsfan4ever wrote:Hmm, wow

O.k. a couple of things!
first, NanookTheWolf, i appreciate you asking for a role-claim BEFORE you cast the 5th vote. i have a pro-town role, and now you've set me up to be lynched.FOS: NanookTheWolf
second, i don't trust the BabyJesus/Nai & bloojay/Tamuz/??? mason groups. too many "confirmed" townies. also, am i the only one who noticed Tamuz was trying to hint that he was a "cop", then when he saw my bandwagon was not gaining any steam, decided to come out as a "mason" to lynch me?
third, an official claim that no one bothered to ask for...(i appreciate the fairness)
my name is Mafia, i am a group of people that each night sends out 1 person to kill a player. i win with the town when the competition is killed (a.k.a. the real Mafia). in short, i am a Vigilante. (unfortunately, even though i am a group of people, i only have 1 life. i clarified this w/ the mod before the game began)Billy Joel wrote:Buddy Holly, "Ben-Hur", space monkey,Mafia
i did not submit a name N0, or N1 b/c i wanted to get a feel for the game first, and see who stood where.
as far as my eagerness to lynch somebody is concerned, that's my playing style, not an indication of my role. see my other games where i am a confirmed townie-

when i asked "am i the only one who noticed..." it was partially hypothetical. i was expressing my suspicions in a question to the general public to generate discussion. i wasn't sure if what i was inferring was what you were implying, so i wanted to see if anybody else got the same vibe i did. i might have misinterpreted your posts, or maybe it's b/c i've never really played w/ you before.Tamuz wrote:
I was never hinting cop. From the beggining I have had basis for my attack on you, both textual and feeling. I was trying to hint that I was bloojay's mason, but nobody picked anything up and unvoted so I was forced to claim. I'm not going to let bloo, a confirmed innocentLyingBrian wrote: second, i don't trust the BabyJesus/Nai & bloojay/Tamuz/??? mason groups. too many "confirmed" townies. also, am i the only one who noticed Tamuz was trying to hint that he was a "cop", then when he saw my bandwagon was not gaining any steam, decided to come out as a "mason" to lynch me?to meto die by not stepping up to the plate. Just as Nai did for BJ. With 48 hours I was just hoping I didn't step up to late. The thought of lynching you did not cross my mind, only protecting one I knew shouldn't be killed.
And if you thought I was a cop fingering you why did you ignore me so much?
Do you think that I would have waited so long for a drastic move to get you lynched? I've been calm and protective for the day (except towards you and stark to who I've been aggressive). I still don't know what really to think of the BJ and Nai pair, but I don't think BJ is innocent, and bloo doesn't think they are innocent so that is almost good enough for me. Only to be expanded tommorow.
the reason i ignored your nagging was the same reason i didn't voice my suspicion earlier. i didn't want to play my cards until i was ready. unfortunately i tipped the FOS too far in my own direction, and my hand was forced.
concerning your 3rd paragraph, again, i wasn't sure. it seems a reasonable play if you are Mafia. coming from a scummates perspective, i made a mistake by focusing the suspicion too much on myself, and you were taking advantage of the situation. plus, if you & bloojay really were Mafia, you could present a united "front" as masons...
IMO, 2 groups of townies being able to confirm each other is unbelievable. but, at the same time, i can't see Mafia coming forward just to save one of their own. either somebody made a bad play (IMO), or the majority of us are wrong (there are 2 "mason" groups).
i, in no way am trying to discredit Iammars as a mod, b/c i've never completed one of his games, but mods are fallible. for example, the first "game" i played on this site was Eyewitness 1 in Mish Mash. in that game VisMaior & i broke the game b/c of a mod flaw. i almost lost the game for us b/c i had a hard time believing that the game could be broken so easily. again, i'm not saying that this is the case here, in fact my "gut" says it's not, i'm just saying not to totally discredit it as a possibility.
you actually convinced me of your innocence for now, Tamuz, so i willunvote. i'll wait awhile to see what happens before voting again, but i will definitely contribute in other ways.-

but it should be considered in relation to my claim. it makes sense with a killing role, and if you compared it to your PM, the flavor will be the same. of course i didn't quote it word-for-word, as that is prohibited, but the general style should be the same. and btw, there is a reason no other thread has a scum character named "Mafia"...Tamuz(i) wrote:the name Mafia should not be considere solely as proof for my innocence or guilt, i agree with that, Tamuz.

i think my biggest problem right now, is that i am very impatient... i like games to be moving on a continual basis... unfortunatley, i decided to express this the wrong way at the wrong time... here's to a more Zen-like attitude! good job, scum! sorry for not believing you BabyJesus & bloojay... one question about that, blooojay, you said you had 2 partners, yet Iammars only revealed 2 masons?LyingBrian wrote:vote: bloojay
this day has to end some time & no one has stepped up to confirm bloojay as a mason, so he has the best chance of lying... if he's telling the truth, we still have 2 masons, and an easy lynch tomorrow...
