Um, I'm feminine.
Also, confirm.
And also, if The World is in this game, you know what you must do. It is possible I have The World but obviously I wouldn't reveal this if I did, nor do I expect anyone else to. (Cause I know some of you fuckers are going to call my joke here rolefishing)"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Tell me, ani. Have you played a dram game before? Because I've played two. And dram provides fakeclaims if they are necessary in my experience. Given he's running a theme around Tarot mafia, if there ARE scummy or townie cards, dram has compensated for this.
I think all you're going to do is cause great problems for town and power roles. I think the flavor speculation will also distract from scumhunting."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Intent? Perhaps I've underestimated you.
I don't often hear people talk of intent, when that's really the core of what you're looking for in mafia. Too often people quantify "scumtells". All that does is tell you the most active player is scum. Or one of the most active. With intent, you can catch lurkers, active lurkers, active players. Overall, the scum. Admittedly, I'm still trying to figure out how to read intent without slipping into piling scumtells on someone.
Heh, sorry, this seems like a weird digression but it struck me ^-^;."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

This is where we disagree. Intent can be logically deduced. In fact, it often is. You should see me ask often "How does this action or post benefit scum?" when someone is accusing someone else. I also try my hardest to ask myself such questions when I'm making a case. Logically, scum will do things that benefit scum. The trick is figuring out how, because of WIFOM and the like, the answer isn't always obvious."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well, we shall see who's method prevails!
Also, that is one syllable off from being a haiku. I'd give you points for effort but you'd be lynched if it were tiebreaker."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well, to be honest (c wut i did thar?), my ani vote is a placeholder at this point. We ended up getting into a theory discussion that pretty much assuaged my initial dislike. Ani was just being stupid ."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

@Ythill: Because while your conclusion is incorrect, your reasoning is sound. I can't dispute the first point. The second point is just a difference of opinion. You haven't committed any grievous crimes against the concept of logic ^-^."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Because righteous anger is a towntell for me ^-^. Well, let me rephrase that. I'm "angry" as either town or scum. But the way my anger is displayed tends to be different based on motivation. Ythill's picked that up it seems."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

I'm not allowed to try and not be abrasive for once? Granted, if this day keeps up as it has been (I mean rl day, but mostly localized to this site) I'm sure I'll attack someone with much profanity within a few hours."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

There probably exist scum examples, but I'm also quite rarely scum. I do have one recent scum game that probably demonstrates use of that face though.Jarti wrote:
are there only town examples or are there also scum examples in which case it would be a null tell anyway?UncertainKitten wrote:If I weren't lazy I'd show you the multitude of town examples where I used that face.
I actually was meaning to make it a null tell from the assumption that I stood accused of doing it as scum, which I was accepting, but would counter with town meta examples if I were so moved."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

I...what?
That post is utterly indecipherable, Jarti. But what I do get from it is that somehow because Switz made a bad post that I called out when his previous posts hadn't stood out to me makes me scum?
Are you fucking stupid?
Oh, wait, it gets richer.
Apparently, Jarti is too lazy to find the games I've been in, of which have been plenty, and to find examples of me using ^-^ regardless of alignment. And somehow, he magically deduces from this lack of evidence, that my ^-^ face is scummy?
You ARE fucking stupid ^-^."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Ok, now you make sense.
By which I mean you still sound fucking stupid, but at least I can read what you are saying as an actual english sentence.
Anyway, let's go with this. How does it benefit scum for me to have not observed the problem with Switz before the post that bugged me?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

That doesn't even make sense. I stated previously that in general I won't take a stance til something is said with scum intent. Hell, I still haven't taken a stance on Switz because I want more information from him first.
I can probably even support the fact that I'll hang back for awhile before going on the attack with meta examples. But I'm lazy."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

massive overreaction? Nay. I really, really, REALLY dislike people being fucking stupid. It's completely out of place in an environment that should actually use logic, and not fucktardery.
Also, hilarious is that you don't address my concerns.
Too busy trying to paint me red with silliness to actually play the game, Switz?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

So, in other words, you felt the need to point out that Ythill had information and this...accomplished...WHAT, from a townie point of view? I'm incredibly curious what town intent you could have had in that post."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

What's interesting is that you misrep me in your last sentence since I'm waiting for a votecount for a reason.
I see no town reason for you to have acted in the way you did, and "being on record" with it serves no purpose but to pad your ISO toseemuseful without being such."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Thing is do they REALLY get a Yth seal of approval?
Consider it this way. You are scum that played Death for God knows why. Some player is claiming they can clear you as town. Would you not suspect a trap knowing they were absolutely wrong?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

EBWOP: Could have been, rather. At this point Yth is probably sincere. However, also at this point hypothetical scum death can't come out without looking suspicious."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

And again, given the situation, if you were a scum Death user, would you have any reason to trust someone saying you were likely town based on Death? That makes no sense either."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

I think the disconnect is I don't understand why the death action has to target. Or why it's pro town or anti townness matters. Well, I'm getting the latter. So it's possibly an anti town action."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well, I'm implying Yth has a reason to think death is scum, but wanted to draw him out saying he'd get town points. But Death is scum and therefore hides because he suspects a trap.
That would explain at least partially why Death hasn't claimed."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Fine, fine, it probably is better to hold off.DT wrote:There are other reasons why Death-town wouldn't want to claim this, even with Ythill's seal of approval. This debate is best reserved for the claim though, if it survives till then."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well I wouldn't expect you to admit it's a trap, nor do I think you Mr. Gambit. I merely think it'd be a kinda clever sort of thing to do and a possible thing to keep in mind should Death come out later."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

@Ythill: Pay attention to earlier posts maybe? It is pretty apparent now that Death is town. You've staked too much on it. But when I brought it up the stake wasn't quite as high. You've reaffirmed it in such a way that Death has to be town then (unless you are scum).
That statement was supposed to cover my views when I brought it up, not my current views."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

This game is getting confusing. Quite honestly, that's one hell of a contradiction from Ythill that DT pointed out, and it kinda surprises me given my town read of him I've had for most of this game...I'm not sure what to think, really."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well, Switz is at the least terrible at this game. I've hung back a lot in recent games because I wanted to wait for something juicy.
I love how you talk about these "mysterious meta things" without citing them as well.
Case is trash. NEXT!"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well, if Ythill has magical confirmation powers, even a stupid confirmed townie is better than a dead one...
But if Ythill's powers are suspect, as has been demonstrated by DT, either is a good lynch, really.
I want Ythill to reply to DT, to be honest. I know, he's on V/LA."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Actually, you know what? It's manifestly obvious this game isboring the hell out of me. I'm not giving it my all because I can't get engaged. I'm going to find someone to replace me. I won't officially request replacement until I've found someone. Still, provide that case Ythill, I'll answer it the best I can."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Dram, officially requesting replacement. You know who I've asked to replace me and he's agreed
