what happened? pm didn't ask for a confirmation reply, i assumed (as per basically every other game i've played) that the thread would open and i'd confirm in there. actually attributed the delay to the mod, didn't realise it was my fault. aw shit.
farside wrote:I know another player who thinks scum may hold back confirming so they can talk more pre-game.
you know another player (who isn't me) who may (or may not?) hold back from confirming to talk more pre-game?

seriously?

for using another player's meta to attack me,

you know another player (who isn't me)
who thinks (but doesn't know)
that scum may (or may not?) hold back from confirming to talk more pre-game?

that's worse than meta'ing me based on another player, that's meta'ing me based on the thoughts of another player on yet other players. fk is this?

but yeah, i'm setting a precedent for game-delaying scum gambits here. lol.

farside wrote:So you got a PM and didn't think hey I should check to see if I need to confirm? Wait it's locked let me check with the mod?
None of this came into your head?
nope. just expected the thread to unlock. to be fair, i've had other issues to deal with irl (not gonna start off this game with my dramas, but if you really have to know i've posted in other games i've been in) so seeking out solutions to problems i didn't really realise were problems hasn't been high on my priority list.

farside wrote:What's scummy about using another players meta when it is right?
because you're using another player's thoughts on yet other players and then applying it to me. it's monstrously stupid.

neither of those two posts contained any content, one was having a cry about work hours and one was a classic real life internet story.

the only game-relevant thing she said was talking about siblings/lovers (ie: referencing what i assumed to be a joke post) and then not following it up (despite implying seriousness about the correction).

so ya, underwhelmed.

DGB wrote:Is it because I mercilessly jumped on you at game start, by any chance?
no. it's because you're furiously and intentionally making yourself the focus of town (ie: i'm so invaluable). but shrug, maybe that's just dgb.
wolframnhart wrote:cruelty - Like a few others I am having trouble reading cruelty. He says he has not been scum in a game yet, and I haven't had time to check up on that, however if it is true that doesn't mean he isn't scum in this game, and it will be hard to tell the difference. The only stance i see him taking is he believes DGB to be scum off of gut, but votes Haylen from his questioning of DGB, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Possible VI but I am not really a fan of calling people that because VI doesn't mean IS (idiot scum). For now Neutral slightly leaning scum.
a) do you seriously think i'd lie about that [given how easy it'd be to check?]. the only anti-town role i've ever had is sk (not sure if i can talk about it/link it, it's ongoing).

b) your problem with my dgb/hayen stance is what, exactly? i didn't like DGB's town read on haylen (which really had no reasonable foundation at all) and i don't like haylen's continued absence and lack of content.

i also note that DGB has reversed her opinion of haylen;
DGB wrote:Haylen may need to die.
uh huh.

so ya, to conclude, my suspicion of DGB meshes neatly with my suspicion of haylen, and DGB's position reversal slots neatly in too. prob scumchums.

wolframnhart wrote: b)Hey I'm all for a haylen vote (currently where I am) but I just didn't get how you voted her from questioning DGB who you think is scum from gut. If it is due to lack of content etc, then that's just fine.

Also people's opinions can change multiple times during a game, so why is DGB's changed opinion on Haylen suspicious?

1: didn't really have a strong feeling either way on DGB at the time.

2: her changed opinion (or rather, her retroactively defined-as-not-scummy statement that haylen must die) came, somewhat interestingly, as the rest of town began to realise how useless she (haylen) has been up to this point. in and of itself, not really a huge drama. but it fits man, it fits.

why have you dropped wolf?

especially after you specifically questioned his scumreads (me, you, haylen)? eyeroll? remember?

also i'm on your radar? huh? you've been gnawing away at my ankles all game, why have i suddenly dropped back behind the other two? this isn't fair..

Fate: Needs to die. How can anybody say that he has been useful to the town?
quite frankly i think you're trying to misrep me. but that's ok, you're not active enough to have enough credibility to push my mislynch.

your 3 reads are horrifically underwhelming. post more. i don't really care about your busy life, if you're too busy to play, then replace out. (also let the record state you have been and are continuing to be useless).

Haylen wrote:lost a majorly large post regarding Cruelty's scumminess.

The summery of it was that he misrepped and strawmanned Farsides stuff about scum being last to confirm.

elaborate. it's easy to accuse someone when you're not providing examples.
haylen wrote:He has tunnelled me and DGB for the majority of the game. He has been hypocritical when saying im scummy for lurking even though he used being busy as an excuse for not confirming as quickly as the rest of us.
a) unsure if you can tunnel on two people (tunnel = singleminded focus. read; single). even if you can, clearly untrue. you might even say, misrep.

b) i've been active since the game began. my irl issues delayed the game (and i apologize), but i'm not lurking. again, misrep.
haylen wrote:He has also been inconsistant with his suspicions and discussion: he puts camn in a good light in one post and in the next he says she is one of his top three subjects.
a) thought i was tunneling on you and dgb?

b) where did i put camn in a good light? we've been circling each other uneasily the entire game.
haylen wrote:He's been trying to lead the town into believing me and DGB are a scumteam.
so voicing my suspicions = trying to lead town?

i could conversely accuse you of trying to lead town into believing i'm scum - this is the most ridiculous point..
haylen wrote:He also didn't give an adequate reasoning for voting me.
inactivity and lack of content when you do post != a good reason for a vote? gimme a break.

haylen wrote:His posts are also way too much like WRH's for it to be a co-incidence - if they are a scumteam, it wouldn't surprise me if they have the ability to Day Talk.
eh? parrot camn much?

haylen wrote:Cruelty knows from past experience that I am quite an easy lynch and it doesn't take a genius to work out that DGB has previously been lynched for an abnormal playstyle. I find it suspicious that he is tunnelling the two players in the game that he knows to be easy targets.
so i AM tunneling. that bit where i put camn "in a bad light" must have been a horribel dream...

i've never played with dgb; i have no idea about her playstyle other than what i've seen here. and from what i've been reading, everyone has mad respect for her scumhunting skills. therefore it conversely wouldn't take a genius to work out that someone like me is unlikely to hold enough town cred to get an acknowledged good player lynched on day 1.

in fact to me this whole point about dgb reads like you trying to manipulate dgb into declaring all out war on me. seems to be less about cruelty and more about buddying dgb.
haylen wrote:He admitted to sowing the seeds for a wagon on me, I suggest that is looked into if I am ever lynched or nightkilled in this game. My conclusion was that Cruelty is scummy.
lol.

yep, i laid seeds for a wagon on a player i thought at the time was lurky and very content-lite. and now i find you misrepping me, parroting other players and buddying an acknowledged town asset (alignment-dependent).

i mean shit, can
anyone
give me a good reason for the wagon on me? as best i can tell there's some vague junk about posting similarly to wolf (who camn specified was absent therefore surely he's posting like me??), haylen is misrepping, dgb... i don't even know why she's voting me and the colonel's vote is a week old and had no reason behind it.

if you're gonna lynch me at least do town the courtesy of telling them
why
so that the scum on the wagon can be destroyed when i flip.

also i meant to put this in the last post;
haylen wrote: Number of posts by each player

Standard Haylen activity level. In the middle give or take 2.
your first 8 posts were basically rvs posts, then there was also the classic msn anecdote, something about posting after your exam (this is 10) and then a post about dgb+camn being nice (11) and confirmation that you're voting me and people should keep up (12).

so what, 4-5 worthwhile posts? if this is standard haylen, why do you bother?

a) no. and you don't remind me of her; her posts indicate someone who's playing the game.

b) what i actually said (and gasp, i did use the word buddying) was that i got the impression that you were trying to manipulate her into declaring war on me. that doesn't disqualify the two of you from being scumchums.

c) if you're doing this off your own back perhaps you
should
get a good buddy and/or coach to help you. because far as i can see, you aint up to much solo.

don't think there's many people considering me obv. town right now sunshine. i'm the leading wagon as best i can tell.

quote1: so.. i don't post classic town tells, and am therefore scum? this is a logical failure.

quote2: so your read on me has nothing to do with me actually being scummy.

both quotes represent a similar stance (cruelty isn't nice, he's therefore scum) which are logically inept and make me wonder a bit about you. others who have played with you have praised your play, so for you to go after me with no actual scumread, hold onto that vote for ages and then justify it by not liking me leads me to two possible conclusions. 1) you're not worthy of the respect given, or 2) you are/were trying for the easy lynch (yaya i'm being a bastard, must be a VI). the third possible option is that you're just having an off-game, but i don't really think people can switch off mentally like that over a period of weeks. #2 seems more likely because i can't conceive of multiple people being wrong about the awesomeness that is you (that's not sarcasm, there has to be a reason people think highly of you).

that said i'm gonna call v/la on this game until the mod gets back. can't be bothered actively pursuing people if there's no point. will respond to posts directed at me and probably not much more. which sucks, this game looks/looked like a lot of e-fun.

cruelty, you are Regular Customer. After cashing your last paycheck you've got money in your pocket, and that means a night at the bar. Or several nights at the bar.

You work in a grocery store. The pay is pretty lousy, but at least its consistent. You'll receive paychecks on Day 3 and Day 5.

Starting Cash: $40

You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
this was disappointing. i liked how this game was going

ps: sorry anyone who got mad at me, i'm really a very nice young fellow.

pps: my bud lite meant i could only order lite/diet drinks for the rest of the day, and not claim it.

Then why does your avatar look like an angry Finnish dictator instead of Justin Bieber?

it's alf stewart, he's an australian icon.

admittedly i'm not australian, but still, having him looking furiously at you all comforts me.
