If I'm reading your list right then I think you have something backwards. I voted for spambot. I don't see where he voted for me.Sajin wrote:This vote count is sponsored by Monolith Burger TM . Just seems kind of early to get a bandwagon going on someone. So I'd like to hear what the reason was for putting a 3rd vote in on someone this early into day 1.Debonair Danny DiPietro wrote:
Do you have a reason why not?ksen wrote:
Why pick Dramonic?TheButtonmen wrote:This game needs more discussion (Yes I'm aware of the irony of saying that.)
Unvote; Vote: Dramonic
Has dramonic done anything particularly scummy?-

That's what was said, but he didn't add any actual discussion.Doombunny9 wrote:From the looks of the rest of the post, it would appear that the reason for it would be to get discussion going.
unvote
vote The Buttonmen
I'd like to hear what he felt needed discussing by putting a 3rd vote on Dramonic.
Yes, how Orto did that was kind of weird. I'd like to hear an explanation for that as well.Anyway, I'm still waiting for an explaination from orto.-

As of today here's my thinking on each person in order of scumminess:
TheButtonmen - joining a bandwagon without really giving a good reason
ortolan - seeming to know who is town
Toon Fighter - Starting the whole flavor discussion which didn't really seem aimed at helping town figure out who the scum are.
animorpherv1 - slightly scummy for revenge voting
pwnmanhorrordude0215- very slightly scummy because I am usually suspicious of people that dropout.
Debonair Danny DiPietro - no read
MordyS - no read
Spambot - no read
Zang - no read
dramonic - leaning town because I didn't like the early bandwagon on him for no apparent reason.
Doombunny9 - leaning town because tone of discussion has been to mostly help town and scumhunt. Though DB did try to get a sidetrack discussion going on the SpaceQuest game later additions to the discussion have been pro-town.-

In the rules posted by Sajin it says:Toon Fighter wrote:@ ksen: how exactly am I scummy for asking what exactly is the flavour? We were on the first hours of the game, and I just wanted to know somthing about it. That is no reason for accusing me
Since flavor is just flavor it didn't seem very productive to me to get a conversation started about it. And which team would like town to be non-productive? Is it conclusive? No. But it did make me take a look at you as possible scum.16) Flavor is flavor. It does not indicate one way or the other about the presence or absence of characters from the game.-

I am interested in seeing your scumlist at this point in the game. I'd also like to see a bit more criticism than OMGUS!. What are your specific criticisms of each of my reads?Debonair Danny DiPietro wrote:Unvote, Vote: ksen
His scumlist looks like he just read the wiki for the first time and applied what he saw there without any thought. I'm going to assume he's slightly smarter than dramonic and that he's capable of some critical thought. The fact that he didn't use any suggests scum to me.-

Let me get this straight. It's now obvious that I didn't use the wiki, which I didn't, but you are going to keep your vote on me anyways? Odd.Debonair Danny DiPietro wrote:OMGUS is when you vote for someone simply because they vote for you. If you'd actually read the wiki you'd know that, so that sort of refutes my point. But you've drawn my ire anyways so the vote stands for your failures.
And this is my third request to you for a read on the players. Why are you avoiding giving a read?
The only thing I'm not sure about right now is if what you are doing is scummy behavior or just poor-play behavior.-

I didn't feel I had to say more when I was providing links to back up my short statements.Debonair Danny DiPietro wrote:So when you create a scumlist and litter it with things like, "bandwagoning" and "revenge voting" it's a shallow anlysis that is probably correct, but lacking in critical thought.

What does "attempted tactical replacement" even mean? If you're town why would you want to be replaced when you were at L-3 to L-2?ortolan wrote:By the way, the mod wouldn't let me replace on the grounds that it was attempted tactical replacement, which I admitted to him it was. He made the request over 36 hours after the new day began. That's hardly "immediately." And why do you use the term "bias?" Do you consider town talk an effort of creating bias?Debonair Danny DiPietro wrote:
We've got a fresh pair of eyes, shouldn't we use that to our advantage instead of immediatly trying to bias him?ksen wrote:
Why do you have this tendency to make suggestions that tries to keep town from talking?TheButtonmen wrote:Have you read D1 yet? It's quite short and I'd much rather you read it before people start quoting / refrencing parts of it. Fresh mind and all that jazz.
How long do you think is an adequate amount of time to give a new person to digest old information before diving into Day 2 talk?-

This is the second day in a row that theButtonmen has jumped on a bandwagon. His posts so far have been about stopping town from talking and I find that behavior if not scummy then at least anti-town.
So I willvote: theButtonmen.
And don't try to classify this as OMGUS! If I was going to OMGUS! anyone it would have been DDD.-

Here are the links to posts of yours I read as trying to get town to stop talking, or at least not talk as much.TheButtonmen wrote:
First off, I freely admit to bandwagoning D1, D1 I will bandwagon anything that moves to get competing bandwagons going, as wagons help town. Have you had a chance to look back through D1 yet?TheButtonmen wrote:Enough with the speculation regarding SK for now I think. Todays been entirely people welcoming Malt and agreeing it's an SK. It's much easier to look for associative tells from mafia rather then SK hunting.

I'd like to hear an explanation from pwnman as well but I don't think him having a doublevote (for now?) is enough to tip a vote onto him.TheButtonmen wrote:
Was the first post of the day, it's by pwnman and he's speculating that there's a SK. Why jump to SK? Now we learn he became a double voter over night. All this when combined with his play so far makes me think somethings fishy.pwnman wrote:Double night kill....SK maybe?
Unvote; Vote: Pwnman.
Although if you're scum I can see how you'd be worried at the prospect of a town voter getting multiple votes.-

He isn't?malthusis wrote:ksen wrote:
Yes, in relation to his alignment.malthusis wrote:
In relation to what? His alignment?@malthusis . . . what do you make of pwnman having two votes now?
TheButtonmen has used the multiple votes as part of his reasoning for voting pwnman. Do you find that to be a valid argument?Buttonmen isn't using that as part of his argument, he his using the "people who comment on night kills are scum" tell. (I'm too lazy to look it up on the wiki).
Then please explain what you think when he says:
That reads to me like he is factoring the double votes into his reasoning for voting for pwnman.TheButtonmen wrote:Was the first post of the day, it's by pwnman and he's speculating that there's a SK. Why jump to SK?Now we learn he became a double voter over night.with his play so far makes me think somethings fishy. All this when combined
I don't know pwnman enough to know if I could trust him to win for Town in an endgame situation. As for my opinion....
I think that is more of null tell for several reasons. While most double-voters are town, I can say that I have seen a scum double-voter (Legacy of the Ancients). As well, Kinetic is not the type of mod to make setups to assume things like that. Also another worrying point is that if pwnman is town (which I still think he scum), he will be a liability in any end-game situation. Would you really trust him with the well-being of town? I'm perfectly fine with where my vote is sitting right now.
Yes, that's a bit annoying.Still annoyed he hasn't chimed in yet...-

Pretty much because of his broken promise to give a read of the game. Which makes it appear to me like Malthusis was trying to sound helpful without actually having to be helpful.Doombunny9 wrote:

Kairyuu, I am willing to go along with your alliance idea. If you and Doom can agree on who to lynch today I will move my vote if necessary.
As I've stated before I'd be happiest with a TheButtonmen lynch. But if you guys agree to lynch DDD first then I am ok with that too since you made a compelling case against him.-

What makes you think I following DDD?ksen wrote:@TheButtonmen: TheButtonmen, what changed your mind about DDD? On Day 1 and through most of Day 2 you were happy to follow his lead.

After a short pause you move your vote to me.
DDD's first order of business on Day 2 is to vote for me.
Followed by you 3 minutes later.
That is why I said you were happy to follow his lead, because you were.
But now you have decided for whatever reason to vote for him. How come you changed your mind?-

Mm-hmm, a bandwagon suggested by DDD. There were plenty of other people with one vote on them at the time, why pick Dramonic? By itself it would mean nothing. However when viewed alongside your other actions it shows a tendency to defer to DDD.TheButtonmen wrote:Dramonic was voted as a band wagon,

You linked me to a post that said nothing about why you changed your vote to DDD. You are refusing to say why you've changed your mind about DDD.
