I totally want to put a "Restraining order'd townie" in a game now. I'd need to figure out what precisely the mechanics and the role itself would be. Probably a tracker or something.

It could be a game (almost) filled with post restrictions that don't actually affect the content, but the placement of the posts.

Like you could have another 'stalker' type role that could only make posts specifically only after another specific player has posted.

The only thing you'd have to be careful of is not have TOO many that have to post in a -very- specific order, or else the game would end up having the exact same players posting in the exact same order always.

...And you'd would have to make players GAURENTEE that they WILL NOT FLAKE or are players with a predetermined V/LA schedule. (Those are are always gone on weekends, those that are always gone on weekdays, etc...)

Because if the restrictions are based off of each other, everyone is going to be have to be around to make it work...and make it be a chaotic ninja posting mess (remembers /b/ mafia) to make others purposely break their PR...

Breaking PR should have less game-ended penalties (modkills losing power role abilities), and more of amusing, but still detrimental, penalties.

Thats so common and overdone though, what happened to originality?

Like for example...if a cop knows their sanity...change it every time they break PR, to an unknown one.

Too bad I mostly disagree SP. It's easier to get scum when you work WITH the town, not against it.

I find it easier to attack everyone and see how that turns out, and then after I determine they aren't scum through the psycho-analysis I use while deciphering their responses to me, I can then determine them to be town, and therefor then work with them easier.

For scum, it is WAY EASIER to have people 'work with you' if they already think you are town.

But by starting at the other end of the spectrum, the perceptions are flipped, and its harder for scum to either actively, or passively, manipulate you.

The fact that this contrasts with my experience with UK-town in the past bugs me, but I'm actively breaking my own meta as well, so that's null for me. UK-scum is something I have no experience with. Can anybody tell me if this is different from UK's scum game? So far, I've got the same read on her as I do of SP (I added this bit after cuz I realized I didn't add a read here).

SP is playing differently from my SP-scum and SP-town experience, so I don't really know what to think of him based off of meta, though I'd go with town if I had to choose, though he's really more neutralish leaning town than solid town atm.

Well it's somehow been a good two pages since I admitted my real role, and I still haven't been lynched. So I might as well just tell you my honest thoughts about the scum in the game.
As already stated, I find fishy scummy. He is willing to just go along with the flow and let others do the reasoning for him. This is a guy to watch closely.
Miles Prower: Still trying hard to stay away from posting content. His reasons for believing the mods to be in this game are still unexplained, and I don't believe he is the lynchee, as he wouldn't believe the mods were in this game if he had one of their roles. Strange...
And finally, I must discuss UK. You might laugh and pass it off as OMGUS, but I just find it really strange that he clings to his idea that I'm probably scum and not lyncher, and that I should be lynched without being given the chance to help town. that could very well be because he doesn't want me to help town.

Broken Blueprints has contributed very little, so it's hard to give any kind of read on him.
Disco seems very town. He's willing to get involved with the discussion, and has had good reasons for voting for the people he voted (except for the first vote on me, which was understandable)
Sociopath is, as always, a little crazy, but I believe my scumread on him was mistaken. He's at least willing to actually listen to why I could help town. Hopefully, he will plug the holes that have appeared in his posting (like the fact that he never tried to tie anyone to me as scum in the end) in some way or another.
Smashbro is difficult to read, wavering between bringing up good points against people and using pretty terrible reasoning. He has kind of been actively lurking lately.
EdFrost has literally contributed nothing. I don't know if this is normal for him, but he's not helping town at all. A little pressure on him might not hurt anyone.

As a side note, I'm pleased to see that your play has improved considerably since the first time I ran into you (in Choose Carefully). I'm quite impressed.

My play was better before that, and better after that.
Although I still did catch all the scum in that game (reread my night choices) and was alone pretty much the entire game (partner was worse than me).

Its just my claim screwed up my LYLO chances (I even knew the risks claiming it going against my chances, so it wasn't because I didn't read how the game functioned), that and being away from the site the entire time (MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF LURKING).

But despite outing the other scum team the first 2 nights, that game will always be a blemish on my name.

It was D2 with all 4 scum still alive.
I gave the town the proper people, and ways to kill, the entire game. (Barring me of course.)
oEJo was obv scum, since his lynch failed the day before.
But I knew, and told the town, exactly who was and how to kill, the other scums in the game.
