Its not that hes asking for reasons for votes, he is wanting people to lay out scum lists. Also note what he did when I voted for him, immediatly tried to portray it as OMGUS. When I say defensive I'm referring to things like that.

At this point in the game asking multiple people to make scum lists is something I find scummy.

Seriously, over defensive is more than likely to be a scared newbie townie then retarded newbie scum. At worst, it's usually a non-tell. I actually think ksen calling everybody on OMGUS is because he's super paranoid town.

He's not newbtown, he's been playing twice as long as I have.

I'm of the opinion that it helps scum more then town at this point in the day, as it helps scum see who is putting forward a viewpoint they like vs who's putting forth one that's more disadventagus to scum. Thus allowing them to steer debate/kills more effectivly. I say at this point in the game as the more the game progresses the more information town has to work, thus gets more out of the publicly debating their reads on everyone and scum can already tell who the best kills are.

Tldr version: I feel that with the amount of content generated so far scum gets more out of every posting their scum reads then town does. Thus I feel that it's best to only explain things such as votes at the moment.

Because it's a question that adds nothing relevant to the discussion except add another layer of WIFOM. To me anti-town = scummy, he is aggressivly pushing something I find to be anti-town, thus I find it scummy.

Enough with the speculation regarding SK for now I think. Todays been entirely people welcoming Malt and agreeing it's an SK. It's much easier to look for associative tells from mafia rather then SK hunting.

This is the second day in a row that theButtonmen has jumped on a bandwagon. His posts so far have been about stopping town from talking and I find that behavior if not scummy then at least anti-town.

Let's break down the two things you mention;

He starts day two by talking about a SK; why assume SK?
A) Vigs are much more common then SK's when combined with; B) Pwnman has never played in a game with a SK this really caught my attention.
The fact that he is suddenly a double voter, I agree its not a scum tell (though your claim it was given to you makes me scratch my head, who would think giving Pwnman another vote was a good use of their power?) it is however another oddity which caught my eye.

And while no I'm not going to swear them I'm 100% sure your scum, the above combined with previous play made me more then happy with a vote on your slot.

Asking people why isn't scum hunting; it can get information that can be used to scumhunt but in and of itself it's not scum hunting. Thus when a player contiunally does it they are trying to look active / involved without scum hunting (see active lurking).
