Because you are going to fail on D1. It appears that RC has put substantial thought into this game. It has been reviewed by SpyreX. There is no way you will manage to crack the code this early. Now, if there's some obvious public service that needs to be pointed out, fine. But sitting around talking about optimal town strat INSTEAD of catching scum on D1 is a mistake.

I'm in it to win it. I'm definitely going to try to break the setup if there's a way to win.
Also, it's funny that you are attacking us for setup breaking and not scumhunting when you haven't done any scumhuting yourself.

PRO QUESTION FOR ALMASTER: how does trying to find a breaking strategy for town make seacore scum?

Well, the way I see is, scum wanted to throw out the idea of wasting CP's and some town bit when they voted fifi, this is an elaborate way for scum-fifi to use a little CP's to get the town to waste a few, and in the end of the day, fifi knows the votes will be put elsewhere when he can pull himself out of this. Just my thoughts so far, nothing to jump off of, ie no FoS's or votes or anything.

^I'm going to back this up. The odds of this game having a daykilling scum or SK is extremely unlikely.

I was daykilling scum in super upick and played just like almaster is doing now.

No, he's not obvtown at all. But if he's alive tomorrow, we can force him to kill who we want him to kill lest he be instantly lynched for failure. The most likely scenario is that the scums outright shoot him. If he's really town power, he probably represents most of the power roles our entire team has and the scum are going to shoot him. It's pointless for us to kill the scum's targets for them.

I want McGriddle to burn instead. He's lurkish and the mehful response to Almaster's death didn't sit well.

No, it isn't. You claimed the ability to see if someone is a commander and if so, how much CP they have left. Then you claimed targeting the dead commander and... he's a commander! QUE SURPRISE. Gotta be Nik. His predecessors lurked hardcore- I can see that coming from frustrated scum. I'm prettty sure Fate's town based on a gut read and motivations. On the other hand I can see scum getting annoyed at a broken setup and replacing out once or even twice in a row.
Fate, breadcrumbs don't mean anything. All they tell you is what a person planned to claim, not what they are.

Like I said before, I suspect scum has a way to manipulate CP. For example, perhaps they have a role that steals CP. Or they were given a huge pool of starting CP by the mod to prevent them from losing it all from burning. I'm not sure. Or we're missing a ramification of the rules that allows scum to kill even after burning.

Hmmm... you didn't use the "I burned, therefore I couldn't have killed defense"

Currently, I think burning is only useful on the town side (eg, commander claims X person's burn consumed a lot of CP so they are town) and that forcing someone to burn to prevent them using the scum kill is a little too obviously broken to be allowed. ModWIFMOM, though.
I'm going to take a look and see if there's any handy interactions, although that slot has been replaced a lot.

I'm so glad I pulled this off. This game was broken from the start. Remember when R_C added that "only 10 votes per day per person" rule? That was because I pointed out in pregame that uncapped burning made the game town-broken, and it was still a little town broken.
Not broken enough, though. Tee hee.
