Gammagooey knew someone's avatar before they had posted. Someone accused him of researching the town players beforehand. The town dismissed it as nonsense, but it turned out that Gammagooey was, in fact, scum.

It's an old Sierra adventure game -- there were a few series like it. Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest, King's Quest, and Space Quest were all series made around that time. I'm not sure which Space Quest exactly this one is based upon, but the general idea is sci-fi satire.

Well, I think everyone knows why I'm voting for ortolan. Even gut readings have reasons behind them. "He said this, it rang me the wrong way," "He answered that question oddly." There's no such thing as a gut reading totally divorced from a text.
