2) Each night, starting with pre-night, all alive players pick a new role.
3) You can only pick a previously picked role, if you've already picked all rolls.

4)There are 4 states you can be in:

-Free

: Everything is dandy

-Jailed

: You lose the right to vote, and you can't use any powers outside the jail, nor can anyone kill you. You can still talk, and choose a new role each night. (Some roles will lack abilities, tho)

-Dead

: Neither role nor alignment will be revealed. What happens next is for dead eyes only.

-Beyond

: Role will be revealed. You are released from the game.

5) Everything else is pretty straightforward, except it's maybe not. Do not be afraid to ask questions.

After much deliberation and quarreling, the town started stringing up Jason in a noose. He claimed he was Jim Carrey, which was enough for people to cut him down, and bring up the next victim instead.

Cateraction was about to say something in his defense. Nobody was really sure what happened next. Maybe he tripped off the stool, maybe someone tripped it for him, maybe he was a foot shorter than the reach of the rope, maybe it was just his time.

Either way, he was dead, to the shock of the 6 people who strung him up. May his soul rest in peace, and his body refurnish the universe.

For those of you who are wondering what happened with Psycho, that was my role for today taking effect. I had the ability to force someone to answer a question, and if they didn't answer it honestly, they were immediately sent to jail. I asked my question in post 490, and Psycho ignored it, probably thinking that it would allow him to bypass the jailing punishment.

I actually though town was screwed once I realized Psycho was scum. He apparently didn't realize that he could have simply won by admitting he was scum and voting no lynch.

BTW, I loved this setup mod.

Actually, ignoring the question would allow him to bypass the jail sentence.

His D4 role got him jailed. He was not allowed to talk about previous days. Which he did alot.

And yes, he could have won by voting nolynch.

Even more ironic, mafia could have won if milkshake hammered himself yesterday :p

DGB and cdk both chose Mr. & Mrs. Smith on n0, making them lovers.

If they had chosen it on different nights, their win condition would include the other one being dead.

Both cdk and ortolan got screwed during night 1, considering the movie choices they made that night.

What I found curious, was that both of you took for granted that the other one was town-aligned. That wasn't necessarily confirmed.

How did Vaya's "Collateral" ability work? (It says Serial Killer - Vig.)

Cateraction could call either offense or defense for the day (as a football coach in Any Given Sunday)

Offense: two mafia on one wagon lynch at L-1. All mafia lynched at L-1
Defense: unless two mafia is on wagon, lynch at L+1. All mafia lynched at L+1.

Vaya/serial-killer vig was a one-shot kill.

Iecerint, I actually forgot that Psychological was "missing", which was why I was alittle distressed about how to handle it, since i obviously couldn't say I forgot about the missing player.

I was mostly concerned about being fair to Psychological. Then i figured out that telling you I forgot about a third party was the best way to go.


In the end, I don't think my faux pas made a huge difference.
Then again, who knows how things would have turned out if you never "died"

I would then make a formula based on the number of letters in the name and how it relates to 23.
First name = x, last name = y, both names = z
3y + x = 23

That was a simple one, but they most likely would only be useable to compare to claimed names.

Well, according to the wiki, "Lovers" is the alternate name for Siblings who specifically does not know eachothers alignment.

Anyway, lovers is a sketchy inclusion when trying to balance a game, especially if both are town (not that this was an issue in this game :p) but I wasn't actually expecting you to pick the movie simultaneously. I did try to soften it, by making the lover consequence jail, tho.

The more I think about it, the more i would have loved to see you pick the movie sequentially and watch you try to kill eachother instead :p

The roles are taken from Joss Whedon's shows, Including Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dr. Horrible and Dollhouse.

Gonna try to balance this game, but I can't help but do alittle experiments when it comes to roles. It's just how I roll.

Will prolly be a few months until i'm up for modding again, I reckon, but if you're a Whedon fan, or know/like any of the aforementioned shows, or you just want another zany game, feel free to Pre-In

I really think you should stay away from no reveal though.

Yeah, no-reveal was kinda necessary for this setup, but having a completely ignorant town isn't always fun for neither town nor me, so I think I'll abstain from it in future games.

I thought about the possibility of maybe doing his same exact setup, just as a smalltown game. Just making scum random amongst the roles.
Would be fun, but I need to satisfy my creative needs by making new setups -.-
