Why is self-voting scummy?

Well, if you're town your job is to find scum. You indicate this with your vote. If you are voting yourself you are saying you think you are most likely to be scum/you have a better chance of being scum than other players. I know I am innocent this game, and I will not vote myself since my role tries to kill guilty people. By voting for yourself however, you either don't know your role or add nothing to the town (or even hamper them) by preventing discussion.

For me personally a scumtell is different than someone acting scummy. I would never "forgive" a scumtell, but I would ignore some highly suspect behaviour (I spell it with a u because I want to be british) based on some reasoning/logic.

Well, Fritz is known for being a guy who's into fast games. Always vigs N0, wants to lynch the first person he suspects, that kind of thing. Plus, inciting people to make cases and take positions quickly is not necessarily antitown. You can't 'quicklynch' without making a case. Who was it who had that quote about accusing people of quicklynching as being like accusing them of witchcraft?

Well, re-reading the day, it seems pretty clear that Occam did claim because he thought UA had investigated him.

I dislike how you are pushing what could be WIFOM as fact. We have no idea if UA is town or not. It's a lower order possibilitiy, but still entirely possible that Occam put out a scumbuddy's name as the "cop".

I'm not going to discuss this any farther today, because we really don't want to be doing any kind of detailed discussion of Occam's cop speculations, for obvious reasons. Suffice to say that, cop or not, I'm pretty confident UA is town, and I'm going to leave it at that.

Also, you just rose a little on my scum-o-meter, since this is the already the second time you've brought the subject up today. Makes me wonder if perhaps you're trying to find out if your scum-buddy was right or not.

That would be an interesting move to claim to your scum buddies during the day that one of your scum buddies was cop.

Sure it is.

As I think I've made clear, the main prism I am looking at this game through is the one of the Occam bandwagon, since I think a sucessfull wagon on a scum gives more info then anything else that's happened so far this game, and deciding who comes out of that wagon looking pro-town and who dosn't. And you fall into the second catagory there, along with Min and FL.

That being said, I'd still rather lynch Min today, I think.
