This is gonna be one crazy game mechanic. If we have two scum in the jury at any one time, we cannot get a scumlynch unless the defendant is scum. I'm hoping that somewhere in the juror selection is a way to avoid that, but if not this is gonna be hell for town.

Good to see a game take off like this. Tajo and Mirth are very possibly both scum. Also, I highly doubt that there will be more than one scum on the jury at one time, and if there is then the defendant will be scum. The game is far too unbalanced otherwise and I have enough respect for Vollkan to believe he wouldn't unbalance it as such.

Now that that's settled, Natirasha is almost definitely town. He'll probably die tonight. Just reward for the /facepalm-inducing softclaim.

I'm against BG claiming at this point, or at any point unless she's looking likely to be the lynch. Really, normal claim-rules should apply. Claim at L-2 or under especially odd circumstances. If the claim is good, we choose someone else. The only difference is that we should be sure to get the claim well before deadline so that every juror can swap their vote.

Mirth makes a scummy post with his 'Withholding judgement', which you don't cover in your 'Mirth seems town' post. Acting confused is a common scum tactic, something I'd expect someone of your experience to know.

Personally? As long as I'm not vanilla, I'm usually cool. Don't get me wrong, nothing bad about vanilla, but it makes the game rather drab, man. If I had to choose an allignment, I'd say scum is cooler.

Oh, and so you know, what holds my interest isn't what side I'm on, but how good the players. Nice try, though, I give you props for effort, but not subtlety.

I might as well say. Mirth accused Malth (dang those names are gonna get confusing) of having insider information, hence the speculation. Now, Mirth, why would scum EVER reveal a mechanic the town didn't know. There's no reason at all. You've been on the site over a year, you should and I daresay DO know this. That you would make such an accusation puts you as surefire scum in my eyes.

Now, would the rest of the jury please assist me with Mirth's lynch?

I'm not saying the day should end right now, because I'm realistic enough to know that once the lynch is called for, it'll take a good while for everyone to vote for you. However, scum has been found so I see no reason why we need to wait for deadline. This site has gotten cowardly and lazy. We've found scum, therefore we lynch.

The fact that you're pushing this alternative using only Cream's unvote, while ignoring babygirl's unvote, is what's poor. What makes Cream a decent lynch and not babygirl?

POSSIBLE WAYS THE DEFENDANT COULD BE CHOSEN

1)

Mod Chooses

: A moderator would never have this much control over a game's outcome, it's against the spirit of mafia.

2)

Random

: Possible, very possible. Tends to favor scum, as there are less scum than town.

3)

Scum Chooses

: As stated earlier, this would make things astoundingly hard for town. This would be balanced, likely, by there only being one, maybe two scum.

4)

Neutral Role Chooses

: Eh, I suppose it's possible, but there's no real incentive for not choosing someone randomly.

5)

Town Role Chooses

: Strong likelyhood. This way the town still is in control of the lynch (an essential part of mafia), but there's a lot of power in the hands of one person as opposed to the town as a whole. If I were to guess, I'd say that once this role dies it becomes random (or possibly goes to a backup).

Rishi, I think the consensus is that you aren't the play. That means that the only way you'd be lynched is by default. A claim isn't going to change that unless it's some kind of investigative role or provides other information that can help us later on in the game, in which case you should claim at the last possible opportunity.

Explain why this post is scummy and why it doesnt seem to you like an attempt to stop possible scum in the jurors lurking. Now.

Elementary, sir. This is, above all, a game of mafia. Now, picture a regular setup, one where everyone votes. You see someone say 'Look, this person has done something slightly scummy, and is better than a no-lynch, let's lynch them early in the game. An extremely blatant scum ploy.

That is essentially what you're doing here. You're trying to get an early lynch on someone who has done nothing significantly scummy (at least compared with others). The only difference is that instead of NL, it's Rishi, and you have to convince a more specific group of people. I'm more than happy with SlySly or Mirth instead of you, but you're an easy third on my list.
