Lloyd is L-2. I am severely tempted to knock him to L-1 to see what reaction it will garner, especially since the argument that he is scummy is vaguely persuasive, but given that the guy I replaced gathered a bunch of votes for putting someone to L-1, I'm leery of it.

I've read through the thread a couple of times, and I'm not sure he has adequate reasons for his suspicion that Lloyd is scum, especially given how hard he's pushing for him to be lynched. I'd like Panzer to explain his suspicion in as much detail as possible.

Interesting. My unfamiliarity of the character means I'm neautral on whether the flavour is appropriate, but judging by the Wiki and other people's responses, it seems like it's the kind of person who'd qualify as awesome, even by the questionable standards of whoever created the roles.

This post implies that you know exactly what I meant. The claim does not. You took your time to provide the claim, which allows you adequate time to research and consider a fake role for yourself. The roleclaim itself does not correlate with the information I have. Therefore, my vote stays. I encourage you all to vote for him, since I am very sure he's fakeclaiming.

I don't know for certain he's scum. The information I have says his claim is fake. So... I'd put my conviction that his roleclaim is fake at 95%, with the 5% being the possibility that role-based shenanigans are interfering with the accuracy of my information.

I assume so. Like I said, I was struggling to put my information into context and that's part of the reason. Panzer's apparent contradiction in his knowledge of the situation between his immediate reaction and his delayed claim, plus the fact that it does not correlate with the information I have indicates that he is scum.

That explanation does not fit what you said. Not only that, your claim is unverifiable, more than a tad over-powered and the kind of thing that seems designed to make townies desperate to have you survive to whatever point your omniscience kicks in. Add that to the fact that, despite having nothing to do with your claimed role and no mention of him in the explanation you gave other than a vague feeling, you've now outed me as a role cop seem to suggest you know exactly what's going on, that your role is Battlemage and not Buddha (who everyone would agree is excellent and the role you've claimed makes your statement that if you were lying you'd be counterclaimed a pure fallacy since I severely doubt anyone else would be given or claim that particular role) and that you are decidedly unexcellent.

Last night, I investigated Panzer because he was randomly selected out of the people I was strugling to read. The result came back as Battlemage. By all accounts, Battlemage is more likely to be unexcellent than excellent, and his claim is completely different, and is someone of whom there is no doubt as to his excellentness. I submit that he is scum, and should be lynched, ASAP.

That's why I'm only saying I'm 95% certain he's scum, because there's a possibility that a) he's some kind of Miller (which I suppose is the minimum handicap you'd expect for such a highly powered character) and b) that I might have sanity issues. Against this is the difference in tone between his original reaction to me bringing up Battlemage, which indicated some level of certainty and prompted a full claim, and his eventual claim in which he referred to a handicap that he assumed had something to do with Battlemage. That's pushed me closer towards him being scum than I would otherwise assume.

No. I've only had one investigation, on account of us having only one night. There's nothing in the role description that makes me doubt sanity, but I would expect that if there were sanity issues. It's very clear, though. Once per night, I can investigate someone, and I get to know their rolename. I investigated Panzer, for the afore mentioned reason of struggling to get a read on him, and his rolename came up as Battlemage.

Also, you SUCK for questioning the excellentness of the Backstreet Boys!

One post has certainty. The other has doubt. There's a fair period of time between the posts which provides for the opportunity of role creation, though I recognise that you didn't post anywhere in between. Your role seems entirely overpowered, and far too useful to the town to be particularly likely, even if you have a miller handicap. If you put all this together, coupled with the result I got on my investigation and the lack of any evidence that I have sanity issues, then I believe that you are far more likely to be scum than not, and that it is in the town's best interests to lynch you.

I really urge people to vote for him. I'd like to be able to say that I managed to take out scum because of my claim, so that when I'm NKed tonight, I can be happy I did my part to help the town win.

If he was a genuine rolemiller, wouldn't you expect him to come back as someone who's obviously unexcellent? Personally, I'd be expecting, like, Adolf Hitler or Robert Mugabe or something. Also, if you want to expand on the point about overcomplication... his rolename. He is roleclaiming Buddha. Why is is rolename not just "Buddha"? Maybe that's overthinking, but still... worthy of consideration, IMO. Especially if you lynch him.

Yes, but... the real name of Buddha is nowhere near as well known as his title, and the vast majority of people would know exactly which one was meant if you just used the title. It's like Gandhi. There are an awful lot of people who think Mahatma is his first name, not a title.

Not quite. Based on information I've picked up from talking to people and read in threads on this site (this, for example), it appears to me that the general consensus on millers around these parts is that millers should now they're millers unless it's an open set-up in which it is acknowledged that there is a miller amongst the town. Whilst this by no means makes it certain that you aren't a miller, it makes it far more likely in my eyes that you probably aren't, and it strengthens my belief that you are scum.
