Vote Elias

Think it through a little more, then.
I don't think having the watchmen outed that early is a good idea. Especially not with one dead already. How exactly would one guy claiming watchmen day 1 help town? I dont see much advantage there at all.

I agree it was pretty scummy play in the first place. But to vote for him without confirming he was serious and not just being an idiot is scummy too. oh well. no need to make a big deal of it this early.

or maybe i could be town who got lynched day 1 in my last game because someone pulled something like that and was joking. But I placed major suspicion on them because of it and somehow got lynched. Now I'm not so quick to rule a play as scummy if its just plain stupid.

Well, since I haven't been playing long enough to experience the infamous slaking_master scandal, and since I myself have a brother (who plays on 'scum) who would do something like that, I can understand your position and don't think I'll vote you. Although I'd say it was pretty stupid to tell everyone that youre the same person and then go on to say something like that.
anyways, I'll leave it at an

Green Crayons is definately right about this whole thing. Stalling really shouldnt be our day 1 lynch, unless he exhibits further scummy behavior. I find the people still pushing for lynch (coolbot and lowell) to be the most scummy of all right now.

If you want to. As I see it, Stalling would not be continuing to play the game if he seriously meant his claim. What's the point? If he was seriously claiming scum he would have done it and not appeared in the game again. I could see him trying to defend himself if his brother did it, but thats not what he said. I seriously don't think it's the right move, but it's not my decision really. I'll keep holding my vote.

And I'll continue to do so. The longer we wait the better the chances of scum finding a power role.

Or does the idea of a confirmed innocent power role scare you??

vote coolbot
An OMGUS vote? eek.
Good you give some reasons for that vote? because right now it looks like you voted him simply because he disagrees with you.

Jack wrote:Err perhaps he voted him because he thinks that "the idea of a confirmed innocent power role" scares coolbot? That seems pretty obvious.

I need to re-read.
but that is a horrible argument. Thats obviously not the reasoning behind not wanting to out the cop. Are you saying that we should start making wild accusations about other players opinions, then vote based off of them?

Lowell wrote:No, Jack has it right.

CoolBot is not only accusing my plan of being stupid (which it isn't), but is using that as a cover to vote for me. Look, clearly a LOT of people don't agree with my plan, for whatever reason. No others, however, think that I should be lynched for bringing it up. He's clearly not searching for scum, he's searching for his own enemies.
I doubt the vote was cast with any intention of actual lynch. But what the vote did was put pressure on. Putting pressure on other players is always protown, seeing as we get more info about the pressured player. So really his vote is a pretty protown play. (unless of course he really does want you lynched, I cant say for sure)

I'm saying that one should not be very suspicious of a play which is inherantly protown.

i suppose that would work. it seems to me that would be the fairest way to do this, and it might help the game. the conversation to this point hasnt really been very fluent.
