He'll have to explain why having cops in the open is a good thing.

If the the watchman claims, the doc must protect him. The mafia can then target the rest of the town with impunity until they hit the doc (1/7th chance if the watchman claims and we lynch someone today). Then it's lights out for the watchman

Since Lowell is still holding to his scumtacular plan even when he knows how scummy it is, my vote will be staying right where it is.

The herbelist is good not only for being able to protect the cop, but also for stopping night kills. If the cop comes out, that no night kills will be blocked because the mafia will stay away from that man until the doc is dead.

Claiming when under pressure and claiming first thing on the first day are two entirely different things. Mason's are powerful bacause they can confirm each other, but there's no reason to do so early on. In fact, it lowers the chances of counter claiming a scum claim.
Lowell wrote:I've been told that they had to change the style of the newbie games (to 50% doc and 50% cop) because this "claim and protect" strategy was too effective.
I've never played a newbie game, but I think part of the issue was the games were so small. The mafia were half the unclaimed, so it was easy to find them. That's not the case here.

Preventing a kill makes the game longer, making it more likely the town finds scum. What's the confusion?

He basically just asked to be lynched. I'm not sure why he pointed out me and Jack. He's probably hoping we get lynched after he is, but I'm not sure why he thinks that's an advantage.

Yeah, this game really was starting to die from lack of discussion.

So you have quit before. And I've been on the internet long enough to distrust the "My borther did it" excuse. What game did all this happen in?

It most certainly does. You're exhibiting odd behavior that's happened before. Why wouldn't we take that in account?

Green Crayon, in both games he claimed scum. In the previous one, he was scum. Seems clear enough to me.

Stalling, of course you claimed scum. Here, I'll quote it for you:
StallingChamp wrote:At this point, I think it is warranted to let everybody know that I am scum. Do not lynch me and I will send in a no-kill every night.

Where did I say voting SC was proof of innocence. All I said was that a vote was not scummy by itself. And there is no point to delaying the lynch, since scum will be laying low by now, waiting for the inevitable to happen. SC's stunt basically ended any usefulness to be had from this day.

I figure he though we might actually make that deal of his. When it was clear we wouldn't, he backed off as hard as he could with his "creating discussion" arguement.

I wasn't talking about your previous game in my last post. Scum claiming scum is a well worn tatic, so it often pays to lynch someone doing so.

If it's confirmed for us, it's confirmed for scum, too. And it's not as if the remaining cop is a particularly strong role. He only has a 50% chance of finding scum even when the right choice is made.

Your plan is harmful to the town. It's been explained to you why several times now. You still advocate it. Thus, I can only conclude you are scum, and your defensive vote of me doesn't help your case one bit.

Scum want to know who the watchman and the herbalist are so they can target them. I don't think anyone's arguing the scum don't want the watchman known.

And I agree with Jack; no scum would counter claim the watchman. At least, not at this stage of the game.

I vote to lynch. Especially in games like this one will there won't be any useful claims. Lowell is pushing a plan that hurts the town; I don't see why we shouldn't vote him.

So I wasn't mistaken about the night post. I can't continue as if I don't know the result of the lynch. So on to Jack, who was basically begging for a vote anyway.

I saw Lowell's alignment, and I don't think it's fair that only some of us know it. He's innocent. Apparently, his plan wasn't designed to hurt the town, though it certainly does.

I changed my vote to Jack because he's also backing Lowell's plan even after others argued against it.

I want to continue with the game as is, though Rathyr should consult with mods not affiliated with this game to see what the fairest thing to do is. I suspect that would be modkilling Lowell and moving to night.

Jack wrote:you seem eager to have Lowell modkilled.
I am not eager for Lowell to be modkilled; I simply stated that I thought that was the fairest way to go. I don't know how you got that I was pushing for it, except by deliberate misrepresentation.
Jack wrote:I agreed with Lowells plan. You vote me?
Lowell made a mistake; that's for sure. His mistake doesn't exonerate you for pushing a plan that would hurt the town.
