Unlike your avatar?ScreamingHawk wrote:But don't expect that to stick.
I'm gonna suggest there's a good likelihood scum is on this wagon just a little.
Norman, you think you'd actually get lynched this easy? Don't start any defeatist attitude yet.
Though if he was lynched this easy I might turn defeatist just from the stupidity of town to do such a thing...-

5 pages in 24 hours... Gads
Well I looked over Norman's games and it looks like that was all pretty normal. So hard to tell if him claiming scum was at all legit...
Screamy you make in an interesting point about enomis and Parama. I'm inclined to agree they're connected in some way.
Hiraki, Whiskers has a point, you've posted a good amount, but it's mostly just irate grumbling. Not lurking, but about as useful as I've been.-

Damn my busy social life.
Anyway camn, Spartan look newb-nervous, wouldn't have the experience to say newb town or newb scum nervousness though. But it does remind me of my first game...
I could see either of Hiraki or VL being scum. I never think constantly saying your town is a good idea so I'm leaning toward VL-scum. So VOTE: Viscera Link
I also think screamy is a little scummy, but mostly as a gut read.
So I'll be busy the rest of the day, expect around another 24 hours till my next post.-

Welp, this is an unfortunate side effect of my play.
Anyway, camn, as much as it'd make me look town to say I was there the whole time lmao-ing. I wasn't.
That was just train of thought as I was reading it.
I also agree with your read on VL's reactions, after giving it another read and some thought. UNVOTE:
For hiraki to be insistent on VL's lynch regardless, and my previous comment about one of hiraki and VL being scum VOTE: hiraki.
Oh btw, my wagon is "Draken is lurker-scum", full of sheep, and there's not much I can say to defending myself. Very easy to jump on isn't it. So... have fun with that.-

So 'why' rather than 'how'.
From what I've seen of his play, I could imagine him doing it simply for fun. The opportunity arose and he went with it. There had already been a bit of issue with them thinking they were at L-1 so it wouldn'tve been hard to pull off.
I can agree that starting it with the intent of getting a town to claim scum wouldn't be a likely tactical move. But whiskers has already pointed out why there's not really a down-side to it.
So right now I figure "For shits and giggles".-

I'm probably not thinking on a similar page to you. You want a specific answer from me that I don't think I have.
I see it as the situation could be fun, he had a way of going back on it if no one went along with it, and it would appeal to his sense of superiority.
This makes sense with a certain amount of apathy toward the game. While I haven't played any other games with him to compare, he seems to exhibit this apathy.-

Hiraki, first to quotes in that post are largely meaningless.
I have scummy play too. It's only 'scummy' cause people think it is. I have 'scummy' play in every game I'm in. Someone admitting their play is scummy, unless they have the intent to claim scum, is not an scum-claim.
Agreed, not a great defence, but hardly a scum-claim or even much of a scum-tell.
As to the third quote, camn sums that up nicely as 'frustrated townie'. You can hardly have been on the site this long and not have come across one before...
Also, yes I know, and now agree, it's unlikely hiraki initiated the gambit as scum, I'm just too stubborn to admit it sometimes... UNVOTE:-

Whiskey, did I 'freak out'? Oh, didn't notice.
Anyway, surely this was covered in my last game with you, I'm really no newer than the other 2011's here. Check just how extensive my game history is.
Also my point was, I have 'scummy' play in every game, but I haven't yet been scum. Ironically, 'scummy' play rarely means your scum.-

SH, your 1 and 2... #2 relies on the answer to #1. You were asking if whiskers would be lynched because you didn't know right?
So the #2 would be taking the answers of a few people and surmising that everyone wants him dead?
Between the two posts enomis had quoted of yours in his 441, there was a post by parama saying "hells yes we lynch" and a post by Elmo saying "nah not yet".
Hard to change the minds of the masses? They didn't really need much changing by the looks.
But scum could be hopeful I suppose.-

Really? Given all you know about hiraki in this game, you should know that hiraki is not the sort of person to do this for fun. Have you not been paying attention all game? And then you unvote 30 post after your vote. Too indecisive?
You are saying, since parama can get away with sheeping and jumping votes anywhere and anyhow, i should be able to get away with it too as i have minimal reasons for my vote which is better than parama.
So you admit that you have scummy play and you think that scummy play is a scum-slip if you agreed. So you are admitting you are scum? And when you say 'Ironically, 'scummy' play rarely means your scum.' and this contradicts 'scummy play is a scum-slip... Makes sense, if I agreed the play was actually 'scummy'.'. Hmmmmm...
That whole post made me giggle;
1) This one simply made me laugh.
2) See, you just pointed out thatI thought I should be treated differently to parama, cause I did something different to him...Yes... (I.E. Minimal =/= None)
3)You have confused yourself a little there... I don't agree that the play hiraki was referring to was scummy, so I don't agree it was a scum-slip, and so I don't admit to being scummy by saying I have 'scummy' behaviour, because I don't agree that my 'scummy' behavior is scummy. That didn't make sense?
Basically, what other people think is scummy play I don't think is scummy play because most of the times I've seen it the person was actually town. That's what you quoted me saying in your post, but you couldn't see it.-

- Given all I know of hiraki. I could very well see him doing that sort of thing as a joke if there wasn't really any down-side. So maybe if you "know" he wouldn't, I've read him wrong. Good for me. Also a little irrelevant now. Also yes, too indecisive. Those questions were meaningless fluff that you already knew the answer too.
- Merely pointing out that his reason for voting me was a little worse than hypocritical. Other people? They may have had more reason. He openly admitted to not having any.
- Glad to see we're capable of seeing our mistakes. (Btw that is why I unvoted hiraki, I saw my mistake.)
- As to my active lurking. It's what I do, I'll do my best. Not overly beneficial. I haven't really been lurking this game, Everyone else is just active . Games been going 1 week, I've posted every opportunity, and you'll notice I've actually been quite active in the last 24 hours.
The quality of that play is up for discussion, but it's also subjective.
Now let's get a votecount(or at least mod showing up) so we can have it confirmed if this is a real day-kill or not.-

Hiraki had nothing to do with this one...
You're right, I had mixed up active lurking and lurking, however I don't think I'm active lurking as of the last 24 hours.
As for why not lynch me? I can help. Potentially, and because of that potential, unless your damn near certain I or any other lurker/active-lurker is scum, they should not be lynched. Possibly unless you have absolutely no better target in mind.-
