Link me to some games where this has happened.vezokpiraka wrote: Asking subtle question to end RVS = scum in my experience.
Also, note that Tasky isn't trying to end the RVS - she's trying to generate more discussion, which is a good thing. I'll answer Tasky's questions when I get home (I have to go in like 5 minutes) but I find this fairly ridiculous.-

4. Good. Bandwagons give us information. One vote ain't gonna do anything useful.
5. I ask lots of questions, am un-trusting, try to get as much info as possible before finalizing my scumpicks.
6. I like it. It does its job.

What are you referring to here?diddin wrote:unvoteI see my RVS plan was successful.-

I'm just having trouble seeing the contradiction here. Tasky didn't refuse to answer any questions, just said that the questions would help him scumhunt. This is quite possibly just my stupidity though.Oso wrote:
Oso: I'd like you to answer these questions before we get deep into the game.Friend wrote:I don't understand Oso's contradiction. I don't want to defend Tasky here because I think he's pretty scummy anyways, but I still don't get it.
Friend: Ok, but they are not really game related, how does this help?
Oso: They don't really, just might be helpful to me as the game goes along, sort of build a personality profile on you.
Friend: Sounds pretty innocuous but I think I'll pass. They aren't helping the game as a whole as far as I can see.
Oso:But not answering questions is denying information... and thats scummy
Friend: But you said......
Oso:SCUM
I apologize if that comes off as sarcastic. Best way i could illustrate it without hitting you with an 'Oso certified' text/logic wall. Basically, the contradiction, as I see it, comes in where Tasky comes in and says a list of questions basically have no real bearing on the game except to 'mainly to get out of the RVS' but he his willing to base scum reads off of people who won't answer them based off denying information. Information he has already stated that, in the post where he poses the questions, was nothing more than to get out of RVS. He keeps adding reasons though so I'm sure we are not through with this.-

By the way, I still think diddin's play has been a little...off. His wagon on me didn't do anything, but he's proud of it like it helped out the town. And then harping on Tasky for Oso's "contradiction" seems like he's taking advantage of the situation.
@quadz and Oso: while Tasky said the questions weren't game related, he acted like they helped him scumhunt. If they do, that's fine by me.-

SSBF. Think about it, now. I'm not defending Tasky on anything else except the rolefishing accusations, because I do NOT think Taskyscum is capable of thinking "hm I'll try and out some PRs with these RQs" in a million years.
I asked you to give me a Tasky case because I wanted to see if you were sheeping on a case you didn't really understand (which I think vezo is doing now). I decided you weren't after your post. Just wanted to explain my reasoning behind it.
And I'm not trying to give Tasky a "n00b pass." If I find him scummy for other things besides the rolefishing deal, I'll call him out on them. But I just cannot see Tasky being smart enough to try and subtly fish out PRs like you're claiming he did.-

This might, by a small margin, be the stupidest thing I've ever heard.SSBF wrote:Defending people is a scum tell, period. Defending a person establish a connection between you and that person you're defending. If the person you're defending flips scum, this can help people catch you if you're scum. If you're town, it's going to make you look bad. And it does not matter how you defended Tasky, it is still a scum tell.
SSBF, what if the person I'm defending flips town? Is that still a scumtell?
Defending people I think is town is how mislynches DON'T occur. If that person flips scum, well then I look pretty bad, and I agree hardcorely defending someone who flips scum warrants serious suspicion. BUT if they flip town, it's definitely NOT a scumtell, and until Tasky flips, it's not a scumtell either.-

And the problem with this is..?xvart wrote:You seem to be trying to build a case no matter what. Everything about this post (and the one immediately afterwards) seems to be an afterthought. Oh, my original reasons were incorrect; but this is still scummy for this reason. Oh, by the way, and this reason that has already been stated also supports my argument.
I made a mistake in my original reasoning. Despite that, his other posts were still scummy.
Also, this:
Is neither an afterthought nor was it brought up by anybody else before me. Your logic is flawed.Friend wrote:Especially because he unvotes Tasky and then, in his next post, calls Tasky scum. Doesn't match up.-

Here's what basically happened, xvart:
I posted, saying vezo's unvote reeked. I submitted it. Then, I thought "boy I should mention why said unvote reeks, or else other people won't understand why." So I clarified.
You say interesting...interesting as in scummy? Interesting is an INCREDIBLY vague word and it should be banned from scumhunters' vocabulary.xvart wrote: I never said doubleposting was a scumtell. And the fact that you said you caught something after you posted when there was a minute in between posts is interesting.-
