I like when my random vote stumbles upon a good lynch. What dank says is right, Far_Cry is trying to have his newbie cake, and eat it too.

Sorry I'm not really caught up. Is there an argument about masons claiming? If so, I *heart* D1 mason claims. So I take whoever's side that is.

172 is really stupid. Policing the gameplay doesn't mean anything.

note to self: qwints jumps in to protect hero.

You were angry and meta, plus I like bandwagons. And IIRC correctly you made a big deal about possible mason claims, which are in no way a big deal.

102- hero votes kiku

240s- unvotes abound
261- dank explains why mason claims are good [+]
270- nadroj votes lowell
271- farcry calls lowell too scummy to be scum [+, I love it!], votes nadroj
283- meaningless post by qwints [-]
290- adorable (meaningless) post by farcry, says he knows who scum are unless he doesn't
293- qwints votes farcry [-, opportunistic]
295- dank votes farcry for equivocating
296- nadroj votes farcry for same reason [-, tries to explain it as new]
298- hero votes nadroj for bandwagoning
299- dank points out nadroj's followyness, votes nadroj [+]

Thoughts on Masons:

I very strongly believe the mason claim. It fits with their behavior. As I read it in thread, I had just come to the decision to vote for mokina for her subtle (and not subtle) derailment of the hero wagon. In particular, 170 looked like someone who was intentionally trying to get the lay of the land (asking others to participate more) to see how best to defend a buddy (hero). I now have
mokina
and
hero
as squarely pro-town.

On that note, I'm also of the opinion that D1 mason claims are good, so mokina should quit her worrying about them. I always claim mason D1, and have found it puts scum in an awkward position. Hero and mokina should know that if they die tonight (my experience is that it's unlikely), they'll be protecting a powerrole. If scum go for powerrole instead, they will be leaving themselves vulnerable the next day as the field of possible scum shrinks. There's really no good option for scum in this case, and as such I'm suspicious of those people who think pushing for a mason claim is scummy (this exonerates kiku to some degree).

Some scummy players:

qwints
- he has more than his fair share of meta posts, posts attacking lurkers, and opportunistic votes (see 51, 172, 293). He does a lot of agreeing and seconding other players thoughts. I can't remember a time when he really got into it with another player for more than a post or so.

nadroj
- dank points out the case on nadroj best in 299. He agrees with people, votes easy targets, and posts just enough not to be too lurky. 270 in particular seems off. After his mokina vote (which he had done after others) fell out of favor, he quickly and quietly jumped to a safer vote, aka lowell. This was unlikely to draw much attention one way or the other, and made it so he didn't really have to comment on the mason situation.

iamausername
- he doesn't get points for whining about possible mason claims in 173, and suggesting that somone merely
suggesting
such claims is scummy is itself a stretch. 123 doesn't sit well either, as it feels once too clever. dank is attacking hero, and IAUN jumps in, spins it around, and calls dank's standards too high. That is both (a) incorrect, and (b) counterproductive as hell. He wanted the attack on hero to fall apart before anyone knew (or think we know) hero's role. This OPEN derailment (unlike mokina's subtle kind) has a hint of buddying to it.

Some town players:

far_cry
- Early on everything about him looked scummy. The whole "is he or is he not a newbie" debate, the "lowell is scummy and lurky" debate, the way he just plays newbish and seems to be on the wrong side of everything. But overall I think he's handled the pressure he's gotten pretty well, and I find 271 to be impressive not only because he takes my side, but also because it shows a bit more range in thought than a worried scum might show. Also, post 290 is adorable and for whatever reason makes me think he's town. No scum would post such an empty vessel of a post and expect to get away with it.

Tenchi
- It's true he's a lurker, but I haven't seen what others apparently have regarding his scumminess. His 3rd and 7th posts (in isolation) are both on the mark, and nothing he's done screams scum to me.

dank
- I don't know what to say, he's just been useful. 261 and 299 in particular.

Some players who are useless:

wiirdo, Neferenom

Meh:

kikuchiyo
- whatever. Early on she seemed scummy, in the middle she looked better 126-203, lately she's neurtral. I don't agree with the farcry wagon.

vote qwints
. I like this one a little better than nadroj, though I'd definately like to hear what they both have to say.

unvote, vote nadroj
. I feel like I'm being suckered out of a vote by qwints, but this guy need attention too. In iso I noticed he called himself scummy in his full player post, which is both annoying and scummy.

The way farcry says "attempting to push a mislych" in 434 is strange. It's a dumb way of looking at things if you're town, as you'd know there's a chance your accuser is town too.

unvote, vote farcry

@gwyn- yes, my scumlist remains the same

Gwyn has not overwhelmed me with his thoughts. Great that he participates, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at when I read his posts. I think he's trying to talk his way out of a lynch through sheer quantity of words. Happy with the vote.

No he feels he knows my opinion of lynching FC/Admiral.

To elaborate, I think there's a decent chance FC was telling the truth. However, I agree that doc is the most common (easiest) scumclaim, and I'm not of the opinion that doc is such an important role anyway, so I'd certainly prefer a FC/Admiral lynch to no lynch.

Oh I'm ready.

I'm a
hider
. Normal rules apply. Targetting me for NK will fail, if I hide with scum I'm dead.

Anyway,
unvote, vote ThAdmiral
.

My plan for tonight would be for the tracker (assuming there is one) to follow me. If I end up dead you'll have found a scum, if I end up alive it'll confirm two people's towniness (myself, as I went somewhere without killing someone, and whoever I visit).

I forgot to mention I also die if whoever I'm hiding with dies. I'm pretty sure that's normal hider policy, but just in case it isn't, thought you might like to know.

Every night he survives, he confirms another player as town. This is far more useful than a claimed doc will ever be.

Even ignoring every other aspect of their play and basing it on claims alone, ThAd is the better lynch. Add in the part where FC was way scummier than Lowell has been, and there's absolutely no question about it.
Listen to this guy.

And no, I didn't breadcrumb, at least not intentionally. Because it's retarded.
