The fact that there was “reasoning” behind the vote, then the attempt at recruiting the most verbose player thus far, which was promptly ignored.

If it was just a joke vote I would have ignored it, it was the follow ups that I wanted clarification on. The vote could have been on anyone and I would still be questioning the motivations.

Andante comes across as very genuine and inquisitive. Her questioning of Natalya feels like a Town who wants to get the game forward, which is congruent with her earlier statements.
Natalya... idk? It's hard to separate the fluff from readable content. The one thing that stuck out to me was 56. From what I've seen there's a general sentiment from players who have played with me before that I'm hard to read. From this, Natalya is lean town. It's also possible that Natalya was reaction testing Scorpious, in which case she's even more towny.
Retti is a (possible) scumread. His point about Natalya in 61 is eerily similar to reasoning I've used as scum before to justifly shade on someone immediately after RVS. In FIA WRC, another player hyped up a tone scumread on a newbie. Scum me immediately shaded that player and got an early wagon on them. The reason I say possibly, is because Retti isn't me, and this might be a legitimate tell town him uses.
Scorpious is nullscum. His reaction to Natalya's 'scumread' was bad but I want to excuse it as an older player coming back to the site and feeling out-of-place with the site meta.

I hate the timing of this post in relation to the one by Natalya.

But when I get an answer to why she singled out T3, in saying she isn’t expecting much. It may make more sense.

I don't get what that is supposed to mean? Like, I would have assumed you were getting reads on the people pushing you, but you haven't really done that, in fact you gave a null/don't know stance on two of them so I have no idea what you're actually doing with this information.

So Natalya votes me based on.. I guess my joke vote.. whatever. As stated. I’ve never seen that. I’m also assuming not many others have as well. Then i ask, standard questions and get accused of being “explainy” and “defensive”.

This person obviously has some sort of clout to expect others to just buy into it. Eg-

I look at this as a site regular with a bit of an ego expecting the train to go where they want it.

I think I’m starting to remember why I stopped playing here. You don’t allow people to play how they want without making them suffer for it.
All I’m getting here is a bunch of people that are familiar with one another.You all have a zillion alts and are so comfortable in your ways, when someone comes and plays a different way, you throw wagons in their face. Then you mis-whatever you call it now and laugh about it.

But yeah, I'm in the same boat as Retti in thinking that Nat had sincere conviction in that read. Also in her early posts I get the impression that she was eager to dig right into the game which I see as >rand town.
Regarding Scorp, outside of what I already said I agreed with, on a tonal level he feels a bit... idk, stiff? Robotic? (I swear that's not just because of his avatar...) I'm just not seeing what Oman sees in him.

This is fair, my play has been crap. I fell into the hole of trying to argue my towniness instead of showing my townieness. Just really hard when it’s a first game back after a long layover and *BAM* pressure right out the gate.

i feel really good about andante and retti. i think that andante's replies really confused me in my last game read-wise. i spent a long time thinking about what alignment they came from but these posts here give me an immediate townread on her. retti just feels so towny especially with pointing out that they liked my posts. i dont think this type of nuance is fakable. im now sure that it is play style but they just happened to post something before i said anything (turn this situation around and retti would townread me back) but it's just not nuance that scum can typically fake. i could go on but i dont think there's a need because i feel very solid on both of these reads.

i want to say votes dont make my reads spicier but honestly, they probably do but it's not very nice to force people to talk like that. there's plenty of other ways to deal with someone who isn't even a solid scum read. in general, i find the worst scummy but i dont feel like the solve is that easy. it makes more sense to me that they are just scummy town but im not convinced of that completely. about being noncommittal, sure i'll take that. i dont like being too committal and it loses me reads that are correct and saves me from tunneling the wrong people. it sucks in a lot of ways but it's how i play.

i take back my town lean on oman because im now convinced that their posts could easily be fakable. theres a level of nuance that i townread but im certain now that it's fakable. oman could still be town but im not giving out a town pass for it.

half of me wants to say egix is town but the other half wants to say he is scum. i really like tvt/tvs type reads but honestly, they aren't alignment indicative. in general, i like how calm and composed they are because it feels towny but i also know it comes from scum more often. im having difficulty figuring out what my read is and whether it's being affected by the large amount of scumreads there. in the past minute, my read has flipped twice on egix and that's part of why i dont know what my read is at all. the recent flip flips to scum but that will probably flip a couple more times before settling down.

As you're not really doing what I expect you to be doing as town and I'd like to help you break out of that funk, could you please do me a favor and do some kind of reads list when you have a chance? It doesn't have to be sorted by towniness, just a few sentences on what you think of each player so far. If you don't have the time to do everyone I'd like you to just post a few reads on people in the game.

I don't want your experience to be bad and I do truly feel awful for being so pushy early in the day.

I felt like some of the angry tonal stuff in the middle resonated with me a bit, and he had a few posts that looked like he was actually solving then, but I feel like since then scorpious has kind of coasted heavily and reverted to not doing much, like how he keeps getting prodded to explain who's mafia today and not giving answers at all. I think my biggest issue with him is that his voting record appears opportunistic - he put the E-2 votes on uglyduck, azaariah, and T3, which were all wagons on town. Granted, he was arguing aza was scum before most people were so it's not like he's doing nothing but sheeping, but it still stuck out to me, because he's not really done a whole lot else.

I worry a bit that there's a playstyle difference here and he could non-responsive due to being frustrated with the game but the iso overall is pretty lacking and my whole exchange with him today was super bizarre because it felt impossible to get him to give a real read on galron. Right now I lean toward him being mafia but want to review other slots before making a decision.
