I strongly disagree. In a vacuum, if someone told me they were in a game and players acted the way they did in this game (assuming it was anonymous, meaning I wasn't told "names" but rather codes. A did this, B did that.. etc); I would have concluded the towniest of all claimants/outed slots is the one that claimed Detective after having been tricked to believe there was a soft-guilty on them.

We haven't heard from Mark yet (at least I haven't reached the point) so setting him aside. You and DGB had the worst actions (i.e. claims) and you should be ashamed if you are Town (and in your case it applies regardless of your alignment)

Hey A50, I'd love to hear your thoughts more indepth on infinity and Taylor. Where do you stand on them and why? Your second post in the game, you said there was absolutely scum within {infinity, taylor, VP} because we were first to post in the game.

I also said that it was a statistical thing and not a rule of the thumb.

Right now I TR Taylor the most. I have 3 finished games with her and she was scum in 2 of them. I have went through the scum PT of the two and now I have more info about her scum game. (ex: "i like to play scum by encouraging mistakes and sowing mayhem." is an

Next up, I TR you (VP) and it's mainly because of your D1 play, which I thought was consistent and came from a townie mindset.

Btw, I generally hate it when people ask me to explain a TR. Sometimes one cannot explain why they TR someone without giving away something or another. For example, I may have "one lousy tell" on someone that I regularly use to read them, and saying that aloud nullifies it in all future games.

I may also TR someone because I think they crumbed a TPR (see previous game where I though Taylor was a Town Vig, but that went down the gutter as soon as she claimed VT), and it certainly isn't wise to say that aloud either way (if true I'd be exposing a TPR, and if they're Scum I am giving them proper munition to fake claim)

2656 by me is probably the best summary - they've not posted anything crawling in scumminess but a fair few bits of circumstantial evidence like first-choice geraint voting and a posting style from them and the player they replaced that make me feel like they are actively coasting. Like they've been reasonably active, but a great deal of that has been jokes/hypotheticals/mechanics related stuff

You are starting to fall down on my read list, and it's because of this argument. For "having gera as 1st choice" to be relatively scummy you need to flip (or confirm) BOTH Infinity & DkK, and have at least one scum in the two. If all 3 wagons were on Town then I had to pick a Townie regardless of whom I voted.

The fact is I had ALL THREE if them on my 4-person PoE pool on D1. Infinity wagon was dying and DkK had 2 of my -then- top TRs firmly against it.

Now, if you are Town this is bad reasoning/logic and is going to hurt us (because you are likely to get eliminated for it), and if you are Scum it is still bad for YOU (because you are still likely to get eliminated and your flip will confirm me)

Now if -hypothetically speaking- DkK/Infinity were both to flip overnight and they are both green, then I was being offered to vote a TOWNIE on D1 no matter where my vote went (of the 3 on offer).

Taylor recently demoted me to a "possible suspect" level (but has yet to issue a subpoena for my arrest), which is making me second guess my strong TR there.

EXPLANATION: I have earlier -in this game- indicated that I had read the Scum PTs in both games was Scum against me. In these PTs (BOTH of them) she wanted me alive because she was confident she could pocket me.

So, if I let my mind go astray I could see the TR was a pocket attempt and the read switch is an attempt to deviate from the meta I now know about.

I also still very much think Infinity is correct. Some of Tayl0r’s reactions can easily come from Town. If you’re so convinced that Koba is Scum, the reaction around the Claim can start to make sense. At that stage, there was some pressure on Koba. The one Scum motivation Koba could have in revealing that information (that Marky Mark is PR) is if they think that they’re not going to survive the day, and they want to give their Scum buddies a heads up (since they can’t communicate over chat, and the information would not have been accessible to the entire Team otherwise, which could be crippling).

As for the the "FoSing everyone" it wasn't meant to be taken literally, and not everyone is doing it either. But if you do a quick reread of the day you'd see most players have had more suspects than the game possibly has scum, and the majority are either unfounded accusations or weak cases at best.

JV, perhaps you noticed I give you some remarks from time to time. It's because I like you as a player, but I also notice some "bad logic" from time to time (not necessarily in this particular game) so anything I say you can take a friendly advice.

Now the question above is an example, and it "usually" comes from scum more often than town, because it's -obviously- a killer that leads to nowhere. Nobody can give you a complete solve before we have our first red flip.

P.S. The "other" reason scum like to use this is to gauge how their flip may affect the game. In other words the question is better phrased as "Who have I been associated to in your mind?"

Now let me lay down my "moon!logic": MM has done nothing short of outright claiming Watcher. I am reluctant to accept it at face value, so I developed the theory he is Scum who wanted to know your target to evaluate whether killing you tonight is best or if shooting elsewhere was better. (And now that I said that allowed they may just shoot you anyway).

The thing is it didn't make sense to me for the Watcher to out AND demand knowing the target of the Detective in advance, when Detective doesn't even give clears (only solid guilties can be counted on). Hypothetically speaking, if all of Infinity/MM/A50 are alive tomorrow NONE of them is confirmed anything. MM confirming Infinity did visit me does NOT confirm MM's role or alignment. Infinity claiming I didn't kill does NOT confirm me as Town. Infinity's claim does NOT need outside confirmation (and if I was Scum I could have used this mess to win the game already, but I won't explain how now)

I also hinted I think there are way too many PR claims/crumbs. I stand by that, and will reassert the one that does convince me the most is Infinity's. Anyone else could or could not be a TPR (or a PR at all).

I mean, he says N_M\s role doesn't go with the flipped Voyeur and soon after calls me scum with VP. He admits DGB is heavily tied with DkK but wants to eliminate VP today. This is FL flailing hard, and it's desperate FL if I've ever seen him getting desperate. He would not be as desperate if the DGB elimination wasn't the correct one. I think all his arguments are designed to protect DGB here, even if it was at the cost of his own elimination. Like, in the previous game we were in (MBoS 10) I wasn't sure of your alignment at all. That "result" you had I couldn't tell if it was genuine or a gambit either, even after you did flip town.

But anyway, I am trying to wrap my head around what everyone is saying here and how they're approaching this. Right now I could see one of FL/DGB being town, but it still hurts to have seen them both going for MM over DkK.

I also could be a bit conf!biased against DGB, but I can't see her ALSO faking a result that lead to a TPR claim as Town. Too many circumstantial evidence against DGB here that I can't get myself to believe it's all a series of bad moves coming from a townie mindset. I know she is better than that.

- DGB faked a result on Infinity that directly lead to him outright claiming preemptively
- DGB went for the elimination of a Cop over his guilty (which is a NO-NO in my book. Check that Team Mafia game FL referenced earlier.)
- DGB not only went for MM, but preemptively laid the hammer on him too when there was a hell lot of time left in the day (I had yet to post on that day myself)

Now she's doing VCA and she looks town for it?? I even think her finding "a lot of townie stuff" in my ISO is an attempt to pocket me because I seem to be focused on eliminating her the most. FL is flip flopping over everyone, N_M can go VP instead and VP now TRs her. *Shrug*
