Shelly could be big braining us and manipulating her meta that hard, I don't think it'd be a great play though? It requires people putting in effort and believing meta is useful, plus it'd be pretty hard to pull off I think.

I'm voting geraint, because I genuinely felt the brush-off was scummy, but I also more generally don't want to give anyone (including him) a free ride to day two without at least contributing stuff that we can use to get some sort of read on them tomorrow retrospectively in the light of flips etc.

Definitely, I feel like scum could be lurking cause of how chaotic the game has been.

Ref shelly, no strong reads. As I've mentioned in an earlier post, I noticed the early scumreads on her and thought these seemed inflated, but the basis of these was fairly meta-related, which is not something that I am qualified to wade into as I have no recollection of playing with her before.

For me it wasn't meta-related, she seemed to have a nervous response to being voted. But her thoughts since then have looked like genuine sorting to me.

Jackson, I'd have to look at that game more closely, the posts in that spoiler have lots of different tones which range from lighter suspicions or thinking about who could be scum to things like "you're misrepping me" which I read as pretty direct. I saw some places in the other game where they were less confident too, though tbf maybe it wasn't in the same way.

In day 1, you get a ton of info from wagons and who people are and aren't willing to vote. One of the reasons why town has so much more info on d2 than d1 is for that reason. I'd like you to give some thoughts on who you think might be town/scum and why, if only because it will help others play the game.

I disagree with the no motivation part. You being scum is the motivation, it's Day 1, so you just have to establish presence, which you are doing.

Yes, I see the world you can be town here, but I don't think it's any more likely than scum you at this point. And 50/50 is solid odds in Mafia.

No motivation = I'm not motivated to play this game atm. And yes, it makes sense you pressured me. I'm frustrated. Keep doing what you're doing I guess. I do think talking to gamma about reads will help my motivation/play a lot.

I think of myself as most effective when I’m not completely driving all the conversations, unless there’s a massive vacuum. There’s enough slots probing and analyzing that I don’t think I need to pursue every angle. And besides, I am reasonably okay at sorting Town. I know from experience I am not particularly good at nailing Scum early. So I also like to find players I can trust and see if I can sort the game by comparing notes.

What do you do when too many people look town, and there’s no one you can easily engage with?

also, what are your thoughts right now about the game? doesnt have to be a readlist, but give me something to work with.

In haunted village we barely even talked, in matrix decipher you were scum. What's happening this game is that I'm lost and don't have scumreads, and I don't really understand how to follow my townreads' logic, which is making it hard for me to engage with them. Plus there are a bunch of slots that are just unsortable because they don't post content. This game just sucks.

Because it's kind of a lazy read tbh. I've liked his lines of questioning, and the tone thing he mentioned earlier. But I kind of find it hard to believe he only saw the issues with my reads when others pointed them out, since we've both been pretty active.
