Anyone want to summarize key points so far? Stuff I should pay close attention to while I catch up? Claims, etc?

A playstyle change isn't scummy. Why would she keep her playstyle if it clearly didn't work for her last time? I'm pretty sure she explained this but it seems to have been disregarded.

In post 38, Venrob wrote:Well I'm not scum. Which gives the the gratification that if you do lynch me you get to feel guilty for lynching a townie instead of proud for lynching a maf.

This is bad. AtE this early doesn't come from town. I can see if you are about to be lynched and have run out of defense options, but it should definitely not come from a couple early accusations.

VOTE: venrob

I have my eye on everyone who said anything to the effect of "glad I didn't role ____ again" (venrob, bjc, gameplay)

bjc said the opposite of that.

Ffery, I forfeit my right to read you after Kagami mafia.

Its done. The ship sailed.

I wasn't hoping to learn anything specific, I'd just rather interact with you guys than read the game right now.

True, but you've got to consider you're cherry picking one post out of another 250+ which are one or more of: flaming, VI, scum.

Yes and I've read day 1 and seen quite a few of them.

It's not just the post, itself, it's the post in the context of what was happening at that point. I dunno. Reading through that I thought it would be suicide for scum-gameplay to make a blatant play to save scum-venrob. If venrob is town it makes even less sense for scum-gameplay to make no effort to shift the lynch off himself. If venrob is SK he's still not a teammate of scum-gameplay.

It's p-edit hell in here.

From the setup though, and two "I am a PR not saying what" claims on the board plus the one claimed cop we're looking at.. A pretty good chance venrob is a serial killer yeah. Okay.

Also am against massclaim. It is required tomorrow regardless, first thing, draft style. Ffery's told me IRL shit is getting in the way of what she wants to do, so
intent to hammer.
This lynch isn't going anywhere else and I'll be damned if I let the momentum we have here turn into apathyfest 2.0.

It was me thinking that the PR clearing you had already given reads, yeah. In my defense I just woke up from a nap because work sucked.

P-edit: If I was a non-town killing role, you'd be a corpse already. Whoever shot at squirrel made a vastly suboptimal kill, hence me thinking scum is in the less experienced people.

A: Neither of us play opens unless begged to by mods. Opens are by far our least favorite type of game, with themes sitting in the forefront. Muffin asked us nicely.

B: You're completely incorrect about the way mafia PRs and groupscum kills work. The same SLOT may not do both, but a team can most certainly kill and use a PR with more than one living member.

riddleton, I didn't like GP's interactions with SG, and seeing her flip I was predisposed to think gameplay looked scummy.

but his reaction to being run up just doesn't make sense to me coming from a scum mindset.

I'll reread and mull over it tonight on the chance I'm alive to have an opinion tomorrow.

I don't know if Cabd agrees with me on that read, but he knows quite a bit of what I look for in mindset reads.

Also, what he said about the roleblock kill stuff.

I've never played this game format before. I seldom play open games because I prefer the pure setup guesswork of closed setups.

Let's do it this way:

@Mod may a hypothetical mafia team of mafia goon and mafia roleblocker both roleblock and have the goon kill on the same night?

Half of his ISO is him talking about being apathetic as a n excuse for not being useful. His reads suck, he just jumps around and I can't follow his thoughts or trajectory at any point of it all. He/Reinoe look like a plausible team on top of that. His response to Mafia 1x FV replacing in was really awkward. His suspicion on SG and Elk sucked.

Reading day 1 in context, he hardly made an impression. I went through his ISO after I saw your placement and can kinda see where you're coming from. I should have a firmer read after I finish the final 20 or so pages of catch-up.

I don't know what post he was responding to.

We did think that either The Bulge or Wolfy were the most likely to be nk'd though, simply based on Wolfy's claim.

I wanted to claim yesterday to avoid any possible confusion and he implied he had strong reason to think Venrob was scum (other than just having a role, at least from what I understood). I'm nervous about him calling Wolfy confirmed when Wolfy is most certainly not confirmed. I'm also a little wary that he instavoted in what he believes to be lylo.

Still, my gut kind of likes him for town for reasons I can't really qualify. I think his play is rather extravagant for a newer player if he is actually scum. I would be ridiculously impressed if he is. So I don't know what I think exactly. I really need to get a better grasp on him when I catch up.

I think he's played offsite. possibly extensively. He said something about having played this setup a few times elsewhere.

TL;DR only one instance of a replace out as a PR, and that was new York 172 where his replace out was due to claiming scuma s town and getting voted for it... and then lurking his way to a replace.

So really, bjc doesn't replace out almost at all, unless extremely frustrated. He enjoys drawing PRs over vanilla roles. Was there a ton of frustration early in this game?

Oh and in case it wasn't obvious to everyone and their dog from the altslips elsewhere, 1-shot fruit vendor is just another trashy marquis alt.

That would make gameplay the scum between the two then. That was really the only major niggle ffery and I had about the slot.

Oh god, screw this game. I was scum and my team just imploded on like D2/3.

I forgot that he was the gunsmith slot that replaced out? Knowing that, that makes his play here rather comparable actually. He was pretty lurkaderp in that game and got scumread largely for being apathetic and making a joke scumclaim in RVS.

I replaced in to that game long after he replaced out. I didn't remember he had the gunsmith slot, just that he was one of the cast of thousands.

That's pretty much where I'm at too, yeah. Gp is pretty much confirmed scum, and we ought to send him to whatever the scum equivalent of Valhalla is. (once wolfy checks in)

p-edit: This is to AP's 1220

Agreed. It's {gameplay, reinoe, Elmo} game solved. I'm town, AP's town, Wolfy town, riddleton town.
