Yeah, you're reading it wrong. I wanted to place a random vote, so I picked one of them that I could give a "reason" for. You shouldn't read anything more into it than if I said "vote him because I don't like raspberries".

As a side benefit I was able to say something about my playstyle.

I so hate RVS. Really I do. Post-game discussion.

Yes. In every other game. I always do something during it that gets me called out as scum. And the only game I've ever been scum is was eaten by tigers.

And then when asked, I say something like this, and get called scum for AtE. RVS is no-win for me. I generally do better when I replace in after day 1 But I try to do it. Eventually I'll get it right.

First, I can now respond to hoops' point. Hoops, when I've been town (see: always) I've asked people to explain their votes on me so I can defend myself or point out where they're wrong. So I really don't see anything wrong with the concept.

Reads are tough in this game so far, it's so short. I've already said I think you're town, and raspberry's lack of content bothers me. NS is bothering me for similar reasons. hoops I can see as either alignment but I haven't had time to do a deep read; I've been somewhat distracted by [redacteds]. But I'll try to analyze this thread in depth later. Shouldn't be too hard. And hopefully by then we'll have some content from rasp and NS.

He's posting elsewhere but not here. Small sample, but that's been a pretty reliable scumtell for me.

Two reasons.

1) While I can sometimes throw a few votes around early in a game for pressure, as it gets closer to the wire, I get a lot more worried about placing a vote without a solid reason, allowing scum to capitalize on it. We're essentially in end-game now; a mislynch could potentially... (see point two)

2) NS hasn't posted enough, and there's not enough content in this game yet, for me to feel comfortable, if it's a mislynch, that his vengeance action would hit scum. If we mislynch and the vig action hits town, scum win.

I want more conversation overall to both scumhunt and get a good feel for if we mislynch, where that mislynch's vengeance will go.

There are plenty of different playstyles. Yours, for example, could be read as scum, because you're not actually doing anything. Harsh != scum.

I'm not thrilled by the idea of if it's a mislynch, venge-ing Sleepy. My gut tells me NS is a better choice so I hope rasp (again, if town) looks carefully at them. If there's more time to analyze I'll be doing that to make a case but if you hammer I'll wait to see what pans out (and hope there's another day).

I'm sorry for your not feeling well. But can you explain why a game with less than 4 pages is harder to keep up on than, say, something larger, when you've clearly been awake and onsite for a few hour chunks at a time?

This is good. Due to the setup, we're not in MyLO. Based totally on that, I'm willing to vote my highest scumread, especially as if I'm wrong, we'll go to LyLo with two active players rather than one active and one not, which I very much prefer.

Anyway, after re-reading, I have come to the conclusion that SK has been far too in-your-face to be GF. I wouldn't put it past him, though, to be the Goon, drawing fire from his GF.

And also, kind of too easy. I was somewhat hoping that NS would flip town so I'd have to decide between Sleepy and hoops, and it would've been tough because they were both so obvtown to me, as I believe I was to them.

RedPanda did a fine job. He responded to the PMs I sent him rather quickly, the pics and flavor were adorable, and it ran just about as smoothly as can be.

I don't think it's an especially good choice for a Mod's first game.

This I somewhat agree with, but that's really an issue for Hoopla (if it's still Hoopla) and not for RedPanda. In most games he'll have to deal with more QTs, handling night actions, etc., and in this one, not so much.
