Quilford wrote:Whoooo a nice small game.

Claim if miller, please (since that seems to be what EVERYONE MUST DO).

This proposal will give the scum a huge advantage in terms of knowing the setup.

Jason coming in and weakening my scumtell...

Not going to stop the inevitable coming vote once the game starts that will kill RVS before it even begins.

Strangely enough after seeing Quil's response and pro-activity, I have changed my mind.

Vote: JasonT1981

For proposing a Quilford policy lynch in pre game and pushing it.

I just got out of a game with Quilford not that long ago where his play was very different from what it is here. In that game he was scum, and barely existing. The fact that he's more engaged in this game indicates to me that he is town.

Now for Jason I have a bit of an itinerary to go through.

jasonT1981 wrote:Bah, I know why Quil said that, but cant talk about it right now due to on going games rules. Anyway /confirm

When I went after Quil's request for a miller claim, Jason explained it with that which indicated that there was reasoning for his action to be null.

Then we delve to this.

jasonT1981 wrote:Im all for a policy lynch of Quil if you are, Zach?

A policy lynch after I gave an actual reason for suspicion on Quil. Really?

Quilford wrote:Two questions for
Jason
:
1) Can you link me to the games you've played where you've asked for a policy lynch? All of them.
2) Are you scum?

1) When I can be bothered to hunt them down, sure. Probably tomorrow though. its near 11pm and I dont fancy going through all my old games this late.
2) Play the game, and find out for yourself... If I tell you... wheres the fun in the hunt?

To the query about policy lynching, I'd settle for any town record of you doing this.

To the response to question 2. I don't like that one at all. Why avoid answering the question?

How can you get probably town from one post saying /confirm from Pink, and nothing at all from Isa as of when you posted this

Challenging town reads on page 1? You remember a certain someone we both played with Jason, who challenged a particular town read I had on you? I bet you do.

Did you just admit to being scum?

Don't be stupid.

Stupid as opposed to scummy?

Preview Edit: calling the scumteam as jason and glowball

Shouldn't you like, wait for the game to begin and get reads then?

Also, can you link us to some of your proudest games as scum and town?

There's no such thing as too early in terms of getting reads in a game. (This goes for Glowball too.)

jasonT1981 wrote:

No, I'm saying knowing right from the start takes the fun out of the game. The fun comes in trying to deduce who is scum.. which is the point of the game.

If I come out and say Yes Quilford, I am scum... then it defeats the entire purpose of Mafia.

So you are scum and admitting it would defeat the purpose? This is so bizzare for you Jason, I honestly don't know what to think.

(I had to snip this quote as it went past 5 embedded quotes which you apparently can't exceed.)
Full context

If you are town, then you should have no problem saying whether you are scum or not!

Why should I, or anyone have to claim scum or town in pre-game? or at any other time than L-1... rolefish some more little fishy. So no, I refuse to answer your question point blank. If you want to know my alignment, you can deduce that from my gameplay.

He's right, there's nothing to saying you're town if you're town.

Add all that to my previously stated reason for voting for Jason. Now I wait for Jason's response. (Because there's some elements to Jason's play that seem very unlike him in general which are throwing me off.)

You put a lot of stock in metagaming Quilford?

I used to, but I don't so much anymore. Metagaming can very easily be biased by what conclusion you want to draw.

I'm much more interested in how Jason will respond to the points I made, which a lot is riding on for him right now.

glowball wrote:Just because YOU talked about your stance on policy lynches as scum, and so did another player has absolutely nothing to do with my meta. If you bothered to do the research I told you to do you'd know that. So you are basically saying I am scum because you do something as scum? We have different playstyles and I can already tell this is going to be bad. Sad part? I don't even think you are scum just VI

And yet your vote remains.

Jason, when you ask if someone is scum, you're looking beyond the answer itself when assessing the player you are asking.

That's why your refusal to answer at all irked me.

Had a quick look at one of the policy lynch links and it satisfies me that particular action isn't scummy.

Descent wrote:Quilford, you did make a mistake posting those town-reads, I shook my head when I first read them, but then realized that you really wouldn't be dumb enough to post two people when there is only two scum. That amazes me as much as anything. Either he is protecting one scum partner and himself or he doesn't know if they are scum or not.

Eh, you didn't stand out to me as scummy Isa.
