Equinox, of your questions, the only one I see as game-relevant is the time zone one so for the sake of brevity, I'll do that one:

The post starts out with an attempt at humor, then he makes his "random" vote large (so everyone can see he made one) with a mere "obvscum" coming after it.

I think it's because incog subconsciously feels uncomfortable about actually placing a vote, so he goes with the short, safe, hackneyed "obvscum" thing.

A lot of thought went into this but realistically, if you look at pretty much any of my recently completed games you'll see that I pretty much always format my votes in large text. I got it from camn and decided to incorporate it into my own posting style a while ago.

And the obvscum reasoning is something I've also done before. In this case though, my vote isn't particularly random either; if you look a little closer, I'm sure you or anyone else could figure out why I placed it.

That's how I roll. Now, Incognito wagon would be great.

I think Haylen's town (yes I'm saying this on page 3). I don't really see what's awkward about her vote; I got pretty much the exact opposite vibe actually in that I thought her vote and explanation for the vote seemed rather natural. Besides, CSL's far scummier than anyone else at this point.

The game wasn't on my subscriptions page yet, so when I got on for the brief periods of time I was able, I didn't see it. Especially since the comp at my school has a popup blocker, so I forgot to check my PMs.

Equinox is semi-townish.

I thought Antihero was kinda townish for pushing discussion early on but he gets MAJOR scum points if CSL flips scum for completely ignoring everything CSL was doing. I wouldn't just lynch him automatically Tomorrow if he's still around but look into him closely.

Nachomamma8 is a null read, though I kinda think the little post restriction thing is mildly townish.

And I'm not sure about gandalf. Him putting a hypo CSL-scum at L-1 is interesting though - it's either a scum ploy to try and get pro-town points or he genuinely is town.

Those are my current thoughts. I can't believe this Day ended so quickly. If CSL's town, then I'm gonna be extremely pissed.

Hm, I had forgotten about the RB or Goon angle too. Even if CSL flips Goon, I still think Haylen is town. This is coming from someone who knows Haylen's meta extremely well. If CSL flips Roleblocker then Haylen is definitely definitely definitely town and gandalf probably is too.

I once jokingly said that the way to tell the difference between Haylen town and Haylen scum was NOT to look at her but to look at the other people in the game. If she is being attacked by everyone and their mother, she's probably town. If she's coasting, she's probably scum. I can't use that here though because the game is still fresh.

When that fails, I just usually try and read her words to see if I think what she's saying feels genuine. In this case judging by the time stamps of her post and everything, I really feel like her vote was genuine. Especially if she typed everything she wrote in that post in that 2 minute time span that I made my vote on CSL.

Good job, guys! I too had investigated Antihero during Night 1 because of what I said here:

Obviously I didn't get a result, but I'm glad that Equinox investigated him and got that innocent result on him anyway.

I had fun with this game; I mean, it was kinda quick yeah, but I was very happy with my reads here. I was very surprised by CSL's self-hammer even if he ended up flipping scum; I really think the proper play there would have either been to try to defend yourself some more or just claim one of the four power role possibilities. There was obviously going to be some kind of a counterclaim but at the very least he would have outed a power role for his buddy to target during the Night (either through the Roleblock or the Night Kill itself).

Equinox: I can see why you hammered there given your role but, I think you probably should have asked for a claim at least. If gandalf flipped town, I think you'd probably have had some serious 'splainin to do the next Day.

Yeah, me too. Coaching is my least favorite scumtell. I don't think it ever actually catches scum. Of course, this time it did, but I do shit like that in all my games.

It's only a tell when you already have information from a dead scum. I don't think it was only the coaching in that post that got you caught but as Antihero pointed out, it was also the fact that you decided to random vote someone at the same time you were making a serious accusation. So... I don't really see how you were caught for the wrong reasons.

That's good. I always thought I play as town exactly the same way whether I'm vanilla or not, but I was curious to see if maybe gandalf thought otherwise.

I thought the obvious crumbing was fine, btw. If you died Night 2, at least the living townies could have looked back at yours posts and figured out without a doubt that Antihero was your investigation, which helps a lot in LyLo. And if you didn't die Night 2, you would have had an easier time convincing whoever the remaining townie was that you really were the Cop and not a scum fake-claiming Cop.

You did well as a mod, camn. I liked the flavor mostly. I tend to lose my drive after awhile when it comes to flavor but you seemed to keep up with it pretty well. Then again, the game was only 2 Days in length.

Ah, ok, thanks. I was pretty sure Haylen was Vanilla even though she pulled up some breadcrumbing stuff. That part of the game where she was like "I want votes" or something of that sort just seemed vanilla-ish to me. I usually think power roles want anything but votes in a scenario like that since it risks outing them to the scum.

Admittedly it's a bit of a weak tell though.
