Open 349 - Masons and Monks

You stand startled at the view of the lifeless body of your village leader. Apparently he was both shot in the head with a gun and horribly mauled by something sharp that might have been some kind of claw.

Clearly your small village has been infiltrated by some malicious individuals. You know the both masons that often meet in their mansion don't own any weapons, and the monks in their monastery would surely have been able to identify a werewolf in their own lines - but that still doesn't answer the question whom you can trust...

This ruleset is based on the Boilerplate Mafiascum Game Rules but I added some ideas from various sources.

Rules:

General

• The mafiascum sitewide rules apply.
• Any action that is illegal to do is also illegal to fake.
• Breaking a rule may get you modkilled or force-replaced.

Honesty and Cheating

• Do not contact any player in or outside of the game unless you are specifically allowed to by the moderator. If that is the case, only do so in the specific way allowed.
• Do not attempt to access another player's information by technological means (such as hacking).
• Do not take any other actions that would be considered cheating.

Gaming the System

• Do not quote any private communication with the moderator, take a screen capture of it, etc. You may paraphrase however. Since this is an open game and all possible Role PMs are made public in post #2 is no restriction on quoting Role PMs.
• Do not attempt to analyze the mechanics of a role PM in comparison to other players. For example, the wording or the timestamp.
• Do not attempt to use a system of robust cryptography. For the same reason do not use small or invisible text.
• Do not make any pre-game alliances.

Activity

• You are expected to be active. You will be prodded if you don't post for 72 hours and you will have another 24 hours to pick up the prod before I will start looking for a replacement. If you get prodded repeatedly you might be asked to replace out to keep the game active.
• If you know you are going to be absent for a particular amount of time, announce that in game and PM the moderator about it, so we can find a way to handle this. If you are going to be V/LA for an extended amount of time you might be asked to replace out to keep the game moving.
• If you request replacement, you may PM me a message to pass on to the person who replaces you.

Voting and Lynchs

• Each player has a single vote to use during the day. Votes must be in the format
  Vote: Eijolend
  or VOTE: Eijolend to be counted. Unvoting before changing votes is not required, but recommended to minimize misunderstandings.
• When more than half of the players alive are voting for a certain player, that player will be lynched and the game will progress to night afterward. You may continue to discuss during twilight.
  
• You may vote for "No Lynch". If at least half of the players alive are voting for a "No Lynch", the day ends without a lynch and progresses to night.
• Deadlines are 2 weeks (+ 1 week on D1). If there is no majority at deadline "No lynch" will occur. I might grant deadline extensions or lower lynch thresholds on a case by case basis if there are inactive players or replacements.

Night phase

• Night phases will have 72 hour deadlines. I might cut nights short if a game ending condition is met.
• If you have any night actions, you may send them in before night starts if you expect to be absent during the night phase. Simple conditional actions are ok as well.

Behavior

• No racist, homophobic, sexist, etc. language may be used.
• While it is the nature of the game that players will be antagonistic toward each other at times, try to keep personal attacks out of this. Excessive insults and abuse will be punished at moderator discretion.
• Play to your win condition. Do not sabotage your team.
• Do not discuss ongoing games in this thread and do not discuss this game anywhere else until it has ended.

Other

• When you are dead, you are allowed one short "Bah!"-post that contains no game relevant information.
• I reserve

  . Do not use it or anything that may be mistaken for it. Also do not use formatting that the back-up mod may reserve.
• Avatar bets, voting bets and similar things that persist or origin outside of this game are not allowed.

• All QTs from this game will be made public at the end of the game. If you wouldn't say something in public it's probably better not being said anyways.

This setup has a Daystart.
2 Players that are not Mafia are randomly selected to be Masons. One of the masons may be a Werewolf, but not both.
2 Players that are not Werewolves are randomly selected to be Monks. One of the monks may be Mafia, but not both.
A Player can't be both a Mason and a Monk.
The two masonries and the two scumteams are allowed to talk during pregame and the night phases.
