Guys I think we should only be hypoclaiming towards the end of D1, to reduce the chance of accidentally claiming an inno on maf (and as Alisae said in the hypoclaiming FAQ, we should probably only hypoclaim an inno on someone we're fine with not SRing for the next Day or two).
but if you hypoclaim the n0 inno on a mafia, you will never be suspected as the cop
Python is annoying but that's not scum indicative for them k
scum coaching
yess on the other hand is behaving very different to his town game and kinda similar to his scum game (yes I have a sample size of one game of each alignment but I still do meta reads this way and it tends to have better than random success)
you have one sample size of me playing as
mason
which is different than how i normally play as town

Are you telling me that when yiu are a PR and need to be careful not to be nightkilled you obvtown so every single PR radar in a 500 miles radius picks you up
as mason? of course
if you read our mason chat our plan was to play obvtown and maintain mutual townread so if either of us dies the other is auto cleared

got a scumread on theholdsteady but keep this on the down low
what's the basis of the Ari read?
Her posting tries to give off a chill and relaxed vibe but at the same time she emulating some town productivity with reads but they just come off as scum awkwardness to be completely tbh with you

pfft dragon's strategy is what that mu article recommended im pretty sure
you give people time to develop authentic townreads and use those to hypoclaim your n0 inno, that's only applicable to the n0 inno so it's only applicable to d1

there is the question of what the strategy day 2 and on should be
cause unfortunately
the optimal cop strategy is to hunt scum directly instead of confirming a towncore
which means hypoclaims from day 2 onward will best be on people you are scumreading in order to hide the actual cop
and uh
well that kind of rules out dragons strategy to begin with

okay then what should both the cop and vanilla town be doing in regards to claims day 2
i dont think what you're saying has no merit IF the real cop got a guilty
but if that didn't happen and a bunch of people hypoclaim guilties that's only gonna help scum narrow down the fake claims substantially, since you are much less likely to be correct on ur scumreads than you are to be correct on townreads statistically speaking, i think that's a given

Anyway now I really gotta disappear into the aether so I will finish catching up later k thanks.
I just don’t trust posts like this
The big ping for me was seeing “I’ll catch up later” since I believe scum like to lag behind to avoid getting into real time interactions they don’t want
Are you saying you think DE doesn't have things to do irl and is using it as an excuse?
dragon had a similar vibe in c9++ (posting in bursts in catchup style and minimizing real-time interactions), so i kinda get what gamma is saying, but also kinda too early to pass judgement on it viewtopic.php?t=91793

it's not like an either or thing where he couldn't be doing both as scum, just that it's a tendency when it's convenient for him, but that needs additional context and that's kinda why i said it's still too early for that

Finally read the explanation for hypo claiming and that shoot makes me mad.
What kinda crap is that? Just a random mini-game totally unnecessarily being shoved into the game. All the benefits and disadvantages from "hypo-claiming" come within one person "hypo-claiming," it's silly to restrict everyone else's movement by forcing them to stay on one town read.
you sound like a vegan walking into a BBQ joint and being mad that people are eating meat

if you play the game with mindset of winning matters more than fun. Then ur just going to play like a dick. That is my experience from seeing anyone who truly holds that mindset and takes it to the extreme.
My self worth is tied up with wins and losses, it's more than a game for me.
i mean all you really have to do is be correct on one townread
