I have a bit of a hard time imagining a townie at E-1 as jjh was, on an elo day, calmly continuing a conversation with Prism (4401, 4406, 4411) rather than, at the very least, commenting on it or reacting in some way?

Why is that hard to believe, and why do you think it's alignment indicative in any way?

I think the closest there is to a "silver bullet" is something that you likely know; historically my scumgames have never come close to this and aren't able to replicate this level of engagement with a game over a sustained period of time. In defence of my future scumgame, when I do roll scum I think there will be an improvement, but that will take a different form that is more about influencing people in the direction they were probably going to go in anyway than it is conventional deepwolfing.

The other thing is that my scumgame tends towards peak effort at critical moments and much lower any other time. Obviously my effort goes up and down regardless of alignment, but for scum sustained effort has tended to burn me out somewhat. I think that if I was scum here I'd have come into the day resolved to win it from the start of the day with some kind of plan and a lot more enthusiasm than I have right now

If STD left, Fire could have shot you and I think Shirou would have seriously heard me out on Gob. I'm also not convinced an STD/Firebringer team would have acknowledged that I explicitly asked Shirou to lie and say he'd sheep me even if I didn't get shot- they'd have just noted the deal as it was at eod. If T3 is town, he is is just voting fucking anyone as it is and essentially this could have led to an extremely free Gob elim, or at the very least a gamestate perceived as such

I think what really got me with this setup was that being right achieves nothing unless you actually bring it home. You can't revisit things later and there wasn't enough new information to make inordinately confident slots reconsider bad opinions. We lost Alisae day 1, a balance shift that would probably have just won the game with a Firebringer elim in day 3 if we'd mislimmed someone like STD instead. On day 2, Titus kinda made anything other than a Titus lim impossible and while I don't particularly blame Shirou or Prism for taking me off camel, I'm still a bit bitter we didn't get that. If we'd done Imaginality there I think we'd have just been totally doomed.

Then we have day 3 where tbh I think Shirou wanted Firebringer and I wanted Gob, but neither of us could get what we wanted and Shirou was willing to settle whereas I felt like I needed to get exactly both scum in day 3 or I'd never get even 1 elimination that I wanted. Tbh I was fully committed to that gamble and Gob being surprisingly good with the distancing was basically what sealed that

And then day 4, I had already lost the gamble by being wrong on Gob's partner and I was so committed at this point that I just stopped entertaining Gob as scum
