You win when all mafia players are dead.
You are aCop. During the night, you may choose one other player to investigate. If your investigation is not blocked, you will receive a response of "Guilty" if they are aligned with the mafia, and "Innocent" if they are aligned with the town. You are aMafia Roleblocker. Your partner is[NAME], who is a Mafia Goon. During the night, the two of you may converse in private and decide on one member of the town to target for a kill. In addition, you may target one player to block, and if that player is performing a special action at night, it will fail.
During the day, you must attempt to blend in with the town, and you may vote for which player you wish to see lynched. You may not communicate in private with your partner during the day.

I could make a really long post but basically it would be the same as this quote in meaning.NabakovNabakov wrote:Really? Why?Concerned wrote: VOTE : RAVEN

Because I find people marginally more likely to respond in any meaningful way when they have more than one vote on them in the RvS, I would rather add my vote to someone than make up an excuse to vote for someone else. What can I say, I don't particularly like the RvS.NabakovNabakov wrote:@Obsidian: It would be helpful if you could find an avatar for your profile here. It makes it much easier to connect posts with players.

Please write this post. RVS is a process of grasping at straws, and yet you tantalize us with a bushel.Inquisitor JL wrote:I could make a really long post but basically it would be the same as this quote in meaning.NabakovNabakov wrote:Really? Why?Concerned wrote: VOTE : RAVEN

I've played enough games to forget how many I've played. I'm coming back from a break after a well-fought summer (I think there was a month in there where no person on my faction was lynched in any of my games.) This site is the one and only medium I have ever played Mafia on.Concerned wrote:
Anyway just to get things moving a bit I'd like to ask the players what their previous experience with mafia is (if any), it just helps me to know who I might expect blatantly newbie comments from, and who should know better .
The assumption is that players take less interest in the game when not assigned a power-role and are more likely to flake. I tend to think the reasoning on that is pretty flimsy. More importantly, open power-role speculation is anti-town (or at least indicative of an anti-town mindset. Townies have no reason to keep tabs on power-roles until it comes to claims)kunkstar7 wrote:...I don't see how you can make any assumptions about a power role from that?
Jovan123 was replaced during confirmation, so he never was here to begin with.
The last comment is designed to make us wary of posting, the perfect way to stall the town. Die Obvscum!Parama wrote:BTW, most games start with RVS - Random Voting Stage. So feel free to vote for anybody for any arbitrary reason whatsoever - just hope you're not the one who screws up first.
