How to use V/LA to your advantage?

I doubt that you can guarantee it would work in your favour, and V/LA, whether real or not, makes the game less fun for everyone. I definitely wouldn't do it and I wouldn't want to play with anyone who did.

To add on to the other points, using V/LA to your advantage might make your play pretty shitty.

And it might identify you as a person who V/LAs as scum.

I've actually seen this kind of thing work once. The V/LA wasn't faked, but the real V/LA did help save one of my buddies in this game, which we eventually went on to win.

V/LA's in principle though because it violates the moral code you should be agreeing to when playing forum Mafia.

Faking a V/LA is just bad. Tactical v/LA's at all =being dishonest about you're ability to be in the game in a manner that nobody can fault you for. The mere concept that someone's faking a V/LA is enough for me to rage at someone (the person suggesting it).

Faking a V/LA is rarely done as it A) Is a dick move, B) Lying about out of game stuff and C) Requires you to declare it in all your games. Now that is not to say you can't exploit lurking when you're scum but you generally do it via active lurking; which normally works out better anyways as if you V/LA people expect stuff from you when you return. It's better to proactively deal with "the heat" rather then retroactively try to disapate "the heat".

How can you force-replace someone for lying about being V/LA - only scum have an incentive to lie about V/LA, so by force-replacing the person, you are confirming them as scum.
