Vanilla Spook


The spook faction doesn't kill. Instead, they "possess" people. What this means is that a spook can take the role of the person they possessed. In the morning it will say that no body was found, and there will be no flip. The spook doesn't take the alignment of the person, only the role. Each spook can only possess one person.

This Spook will add the 1-shot Bulletproof modifier to the role they take. If it possesses a 1-shot Bulletproof, it will become a 2-shot Bulletproof.

Each night you may treestump someone. This goes through all night immunities, except commuter. Prevent the first two times you would get nightkilled. You win when you are the only person left alive, or nothing can prevent that from happening.

All roles which would be considered negative utility for the mod are re-rolled until they are not. Alignments aren't re-rolled.

e.g. mafia compulsive public cop is rolled. After a re-roll, town mirrorer is rolled. The final role is mafia mirrorer.

also, i am aware that roles like this are not the best design, but its ment to be fun :D
because a played miraculously replaced out at the beginning of the game and some new player replaced in? especially fishy in games with experience requirements,

and yes, I get that, but I think it's important to keep in mind that your role actually might get rolled in an actual grand idea game, and to at least keep some balance in. if you want to just design roles you can keep them to yourself, or you could make a new thread not explicitly made to have the roles used in an actual mafia game.

Mafioso with a really convincing disguise

You count as a vanilla townie for all intents and purposes other than the fact that you are, in fact, a mafioso.

Examples:
When a role gets information about the setup, they will receive that information as though you are a vanilla townie.
When an investigator does an investigation, they will receive information as though you are a vanilla townie. Cops will see you as town, neapolitans will see you as a vanilla townie, etc.
When a role performs an action on you that cares about your alignment, they will treat you as a vanilla townie (eg weak roles will not die when they visit you)
However, when you perform the factional kill, trackers/watchers/voyeurs/motion detectors etc. will still see you perform that action.

Each night, you may create a proxy Sliver player called "Sliver". You control their vote and night actions.
Each night, you may target a player. If they are a sliver, you steal their vote and may use all their abilities instead of them. They will be notified in the following way: "[Up to moderator]"

You win when you control the majority of the vote. The game then ends, and everyone else loses.

I guess one can assume that Slivers have a factional win that works in addition to their wincons. Therefore people that roll slivers only have the factional wincon of majority?
The idea was as follows: all previous slivers gave all slivers abilities, but there just isn't a big enough density of them in a thread this large to reliably have two or more rolled at once. So that would make them too parasitic to do anything. To remedy this, I decided to make other players slivers as well, and worded it in a way that if other slivers were already in the game, there would still be an equal amount of slivers. (eg: if one of my slivers was rolled in addition to another sliver in a 9P game, only one other role would get the sliver modifier).

Mod notes: After the setup is rolled, randomly add "Sliver" to players' roles until one third of the player list is a Sliver, rounded down. Replace their ablities with "All slivers have [ability]". Reword as necessary to suit different roles.

Pirate Rare Groupscum Unifier


Wincon: Groupscum, Pirate

Passive: Rare Groupscum Unifier (At gamestart, changes all roles with a Groupscum wincon that isn't Groupscum, Mafia or Groupscum, Werewolf to the Groupscum wincon matching their own, If they don't have a Groupscum wincon, nothing happens.)

Personally I'm like, wrt all the protection/kills powercreep going on. There really should only be a few cases: No protection (so called Tier 0 protection), no kill (Tier 0 kill), Tier 1 protection (eg Bulletproof), Tier 1 kill (eg the Mafia nightkill), Tier 2 protection (eg something like "Nightkill immune" or what have you), Tier 2 kill (eg Strongman, which can pierce through Tier 1, but not Tier 2 protection), and I don't really think anything should be able to get through Tier 2 protection. Then condemnation is a whole different situation. Also, I was thinking of Groupscum identities beyond Mafia and Werewolf (The "generic" ones). I was thinking Pirates could maybe be a ragtag band uniting the other scumteams (That are not Mafia and Werewolf, in this case I suppose).
