You are the JOKER
You have a role, but don't know what it is. You have to try and figure it out. Each night, you may target someone and see what happens.
Mod Note- There is a 50% chance the target will have his role changed to something random and a 50% chance that he will have a random effect done to him.
The game had 20 players. 19 townies, one Joker.
I have plenty of common sense. I just choose to ignore it.

Kelly Chen wrote:Roles like that are a great idea if you don't really want to come up with a setup.
As a matter of fact, I believe the game was called Lazy Mod Mafia.
The role ended up making two mafia famillies, an SK, a cult, a mason group, a doc, four cops of differant sanities, a vig.... you get the idea.
Here's another:

You are the Masonic Lyncher-Jester. You are a mason with ______. He thinks you to be good. What he dosn't know is, you are anti-town. You win by getting him lynched and then being lynched yourself, or getting yourself lynched and getting him lynched. This Victory condition ends the game.
And both masons were given that role.

You are the
Village idiot
.
You are so stupid, you can't win. At the end of the game you will be annouced as THE BIG LOSER and the mod will post something making fun of you and telling you what a pathetic player you are.
I have plenty of common sense. I just choose to ignore it.

This isn't a bad role, but I thought I'd put it here anyway:
You are the
Counter-Cultist
.
There is a cult in this game, and you know it. Each night, you may take two actions: You may choose one player to protect from recruitment into the cult, and view one player to see if they have been culted. If the cult tries to recruit you, the recruiter will die and all cultists will be restored to their original status.
I have plenty of common sense. I just choose to ignore it.

I saw a set-up with the following roles:
You are the
Spy
.
You work for the mafia, and win with them. (That is, when the number of mafia is equal to the number of non-mafia.) Each night, you may view a player to see if they are a cop or not.
Not really a bad role, but the same set up also included cops with these sanities:
Drunken Cop:
Sane on odd numbered nights, insane on even numbered ones.
Unstable Cop:
Neive on odd numbered nights, paranoid on even numbered nights.
Cloudy Cop
Gets correct results 75% of the time, but incorrect results 25% of the time.
Rather interesting. Not sure if they belong in this thread though.
I have plenty of common sense. I just choose to ignore it.
