You are a
Carpenter
. Any time there is an L-1 situation, you must cast the hammer vote if you are able to (are not currently already voting for the player at L-1). If there are two players at L-1, you must vote for the first player that reached L-1.
I can't figure out a way to deal with the fact that a player could "fake" lurking to avoid hammering... or genuinely be not following the thread for that matter.

You are a
numerologist obsessed with the number three
. You have post and vote restrictions. Any post you make must contain at least three words that are three letters long. Every third vote you make must be the third vote on a wagon. You must post exactly three times (no more, no less) on any page with a three in it ... 3, 13, 23, all the 30s, etc. You may not discuss/disclose any of your restrictions. Violations of any of the restrictions will result in a modkill. You win if and only if you are lynched on day 3 or night-killed on night 3.

You are an
ultimate narcissist
. You can only talk about, vote, or target yourself. You cannot reference, in any way, other players. You win if you make it to endgame.
You are a
townie on double secret probation
. You cannot make any posts between the hours of 8AM and 5PM (you should be in class) or between 10PM and 6AM (you should be asleep) real-world time (time zone determined by mod). Since it is secret, any reference to the post restriction will result in immediate expulsion (modkill). You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.

You are a
killjoy
. Any player that you are currently voting for is immune from lynches, even if they reach the required lynch number. At such a point, the day continues until a player that you are not currently voting for has enough votes for a lynch. As a night action, you must target one player who will be jailkept every night for the rest of the game. You win when no other faction wins.

You are
New at this
. At least twice per Day, you must make a post where you get at least one fundamental aspect of the game or the game mechanics wrong. You may not reveal your restriction in any way. You win if you survive to endgame.

You are a
Naysayer
. Any time you post with an opinion on anything that another player has raised as a question (validity of a wagon, some player's scumminess, etc) you must respond negatively. You cannot support anything that you are asked about, even if it is your own towniness. You may not reveal your restriction. You win with town.

You are a
Corrupt Cop with a Heart of Gold
. Every night, in addition to your normal investigation powers, you may also plant evidence on any one player. This will make that person scan as "guilty" to any investigations (by any player). In addition, you may receive a PM from the mod at any point directing you to report an "innocent" result on a player. You may not investigate that player after receiving such a PM. Despite all this, you are town-aligned and win with town.
You are a
Well-connected Person with Influence
. You know there is a corrupt cop in this game. Every even-numbered night, you may PM the mod with the name of one player who you have decided is above suspicion. This person will be reported as "innocent" and cannot be investigated by the Corrupt Cop. You win if you "protect" a mafioso who survives to endgame, regardless of which faction(s) wins.
This pair could make for some interesting interplay.
NOTE: There is nothing prohibiting the Corrupt Cop from planting evidence on someone that they are told to report an innocent on.

You are
Incredibly Full of Yourself
. Every post you make must include self-aggrandizing language. You are also a 1-shot vig, which you can use at any point by posting a long (500+ word) essay detailing why you're vigging the person you are and talking about how great you are and how smart you are to have found the scum and why everyone else is stupid for not having seen it sooner. You don't have to worry about pissing people off though, because you're bulletproof and lynchproof! You may not reveal your Post Restriction or your Powers. You win with town.
MODNOTE: Has no actual Post Restriction or Powers; is actually a Vanilla Townie.

You are
a Jedi, like your father before you
. You always thought you were nothing special, but it turns you you were wrong! Some player in this game is your father. Unfortunately, he was turned to the dark-side by DARKLORD_NAME. You win if you convince your father to lynch the player that turned him.
You are
conflicted about your loyalties
. You used to be town, but now you're not! A shadowy figure converted you to his cause last night. You also have a 1-shot ability to convert someone to your faction. You also have a child that you've never met. You win if you convert your child.
You are
the dark lord
. You have a one-shot ability to convert someone to your faction, but you must use it the first Night. Take caution, however, for they have a child who does not take kindly to you. You win if that child lynches their father.
MODNOTE: Jedi and Conflicted start out as VT's and get role-modifcation PM's as appropriate.
I thought that this would be a fun mechanic, probably in a larger game with room for this little "cult". I like that no one person has the full story (Dark Lord knows who Conflicted is, Conflicted knows who Jedi is, Jedi knows who Dark Lord is), but it's possible for interactions between the players to reveal the connections. It is also *technically* possible for each of the roles above to win in the same game, but mostly they're all working at cross purposes.

I suppose I'm using "faction" in a non-standard way. They're only really a faction in that the roles are inter-related. The old role and wincon cease as soon as they become the new roles, and the new role wincons become their ONLY wincons. This is really a series of 3rd part roles, as there is no substantial relation to either town or mafia. While it's true that a converted mafia would cease to be mafia and know their former mafia-mates, since the new wincon has nothing to do with mafia, there's no reason for him to out them. The conversion attempt by the father would simply fail against anyone who wasn't the son... so I guess making it 1-shot is a bit harsh. Should go ahead and let him try once per night. Here's how they could all win, albeit unlikely:
1. DL converts C.
2. C and J get their new roles
3. C converts J
4. J convinces C to help lynch DL
5. J helps lynch C
Once per game, when a player dies, you can select that player to channel during each Night. When a dead player is channeled, you'll be able to talk to that player via quicktopic until the Night ends. When you initially channel a player, it will be announced in the Game Thread.

Standard mini setup.
Mod note: all town players are death millers, three people who believe they are VT's are unaware that they are actually mafia traitors, three players who think they are mafia are actually VT's.

Yes and no... perhaps? It IS worst roles, after all. Besides, once the lack of N/K's start showing up and more dead "scum" are piled up than there should be in the game, I'm thinking stuff might become clearer.

You've still got 3 people who will are scum and will scan as such to cops. Since there's no nightkill, the cop could survive the whole game. Would it help if we made it so that the traitors knew they were traitors?
