I think we might be taking the joke to far.

I'm trying to point out that khan does not clarify which player can not talk outside the game. Pronouns would dictate the players that just joined the game (Me and plum) can't talk outside the game. And since we can't that makes us obv town. If Khan was discussing the recruiter himself he may need to clarify better. The mod balancing what role gets added should be interesting

Yeah, it definitely needs to be tweaked a bit with proper mafia language to actually make it work. I just thought the idea of it was hilarious and wanted to get it out there.

Generally the player recruiter wouldn't be able to let people know why they got a PM (which decreases the chance that they'll accept a random role PM). But once in the game, the recruited players are subject to whatever game rules are governing them.

I think a main problem is that the recruiter kinda gets confirmed if he claims that he' the reason people keep joining the game (counter-claim is pretty unlikely). I can't picture it as a mafia role, but it would be very bastardly if it was a survivor role. They have to invite 3-5 players *and then* survive until the end.

And a true bastard mod doesn't worry about balancing, they'd send out truly random roles. A more conscientious mod would have a pre-created list of generally mild stuff.

I'm not sure if this deserves some other limiter like: "You immediately die if a doctor of any sanity targets you". Thoughts?

It's been in a few games. It's a great alternative to the traditional Cult Leader role..
