I have some great ideas in my head for a Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Mafia, based off of both the movie and its source material.

Think I could get 12 players? Or should I squish my hopes and dreams now?

Also, I'd support a FE mafia, although I've only played the two GBA games (and SSB is that counts <__<)

The Room Mafia has to have a setup so terrible it's brilliant.

Would anyone be interested in a game based loosely off of 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors? Not necessarily the characters - although this would be possible, it'd also be very spoiler-ific for those that haven't fully beaten the game, and I don't know how many people have since it's a bit of a sleeper title. It would still take elements from the game, though.

Here's a small description of the game for reference, modified from Wikipedia as to avoid minor spoilers:

The story starts off with a college student named Junpei waking up in a ship, with no memory as to how he arrived there. On his wrist lies a bracelet with a single digit, "5", and on the door blocking his escape lies the same number. Suddenly, the window of his room breaks open, and water begins to flood the room. Junpei eventually escapes the room, but not before remembering how he got there in the first place.

Eventually, Junpei groups up with the 8 other participants of the "Nonary Game", and in order to not reveal their identities, they each give themselves code names based on their bracelet numbers. Their kidnapper, Zero, eventually tunes in and tells them the rules of the game: They must escape the ship within 9 hours, and must do so by going through a door marked with a 9. Additionally, the participants must also follow all of Zero's rules, else they suffer the consequences. These rules are based off of the usage of numbered doors; around the ship there are doors marked with numbers, and only a group of 3-5 people whose digital root equals that number can pass. The digital root is acquired by adding together a group of numbers, then adding those numbers until you're left with a single digit. Example - The digital root of 5, 7 and 9 is 3 (5 + 7 + 9 = 21 -> 2 + 1 = 3.)

Still bouncing ideas around, but ideally it'd be similar to a game where during the day, aside from voting to lynch players, they can vote on which players enter certain doors, which can give them items/powers. If I can't figure out how to balance this or make the mechanic work, then it'll just be a flavored game.

It's also planned to be a 9-player, obviously. :P

Still have some ideas bouncing around for 999 Mafia, might drop the item-mechanic though. I'm right on the brink of an epiphany that will make everything work. :|

I like the idea, zoraster. Might even be interested in playing, actually.

I had a similar idea for a while, where everyone would have to post audio file versions of their posts (like face-to-face without the face-showing, and transcripts for the audio), but wasn't sure if that was interesting enough. Didn't even consider something like that...

---

Would anyone be interested in a "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Mafia? It would be a normal setup that runs on post restrictions (think Quirkytown, sorta) and each gameday would have a different restriction.

- Party Quirks/Let's Make A Date would require the posters to post in certain personalities during that gameday.
- Film, TV & Theatre Styles would have one person randomly decide a game-wide post restriction that applies to one of those categories. One person would be randomly assigned for this role and it would change every RL day.
- Questions Only is self-explanatory.

And so on. It could definitely work as a Mini Theme, although maybe I can convert enough of the games to a mafia equivalent and eventually run it as a Large Theme.

I think someone's working on/called dibs on TVTropes Mafia (similar enough, if not the same thing). Don't remember who, though.

I'd play.

Has Team Fortress 2 Mafia been run on here yet? If not, TheLonging and I were planning on calling dibs and -possibly- getting it up and running withing the next few months-ish. At the very least, we're considering a pick-your-class style game. Not sure if we're going to do pick-your-side as well.

Pre-post-edit: Google tells me Far_Cry was working on this back in September. Still interested in that?

I wouldn't mind helping brainstorm the setup, but I'd much rather play.

/pre-in

(I coulda sworn TheLonging was thinking of making this and said someone else had dibs on it though. Hmm. /pre-in for any form of tvtropes mafia regardless)

Dibs on Nostalgia Critic Mafia, Kickassia Mafia, and Suburban Knights Mafia.

I'm not sure which one I'd like to run. <_<

Really. Why not?

Was thinking something along the lines of the roles/players being movies that Doug has reviewed. Probably gonna be a Large Theme.
