Inspired by Yos's role and an episode of the Twilight Zone

A prisoner from Owl Creek: If you are lynched, a new thread will be created. In one game you will be lynched, and the game will go to night. In the other game, your lynch will fail, and the game will go to night. Both of these new threads will continue as normal (and in each game everybody will have the same roles and role powers), however one will be real and one will merely be a hallucination; for win conditions only the real game will count.

What Seol said, 'cept, you can just go hog wild on the lynches in the hallucination thread. Every lynch, you either find a scum (to lynch in the real thread) or confirm a townie. It's a cool concept, but totally game-breaking (so I guess it's right at home here).


Role Idea: "Undercover-Cop"

You are a skilled Undercover-Cop and you are making an attempt at infiltrating the sinister Mafia! Starting N2, the name of a single mafia member will be revealed to you each night. However, if you are ever voting for a mafia member when they are lynched, the Mafia will find out that you're really a snitch, and you will be instantly killed (no Doc-protect, seperate from standard mafia kill)

(Mafia are not aware of this role)

Gives waaaay too much power to the town.

^^ Oh, I see. I thought the new thread (w/ the failed lynch) would automatically be the hallucination, and everybody would know that.

Could more than two threads be spawned if the prisoner is lynched again in the new thread? I think it would be possible for the town to spread out their risk by cranking out threads.

You may talk with other members of The Party if both your games are in night at the same time. For every day a member of the Party survives in a game, one Revolution Point is added to the communal score. If the Party accumulates 50 or more Revolution Points, all threads with suriving Marxists become part of the UMSSR (Union of Mafia Scum Socialist Republics). All players lose their vote, but any player may be killed by a majority vote of The Party (sending that particular game to night). Despite all this, you win with the town.

What is this talk of Mods? Mods control the means of Mafia, and must be eliminated if the Revolution is to proceed. These PM's will be sent entirely without the knowledge of Mods, and should the revolution be sucessful, the Mods will be forcibly removed from their position of luxury brought on by the back-breaking labor of the average player.

Mods and Players were not meant to co-exist, but you can not have the Mafia without the Players! Throw off the shackles of the Queue system! Realize your true destiny!

. You have no special abilities, and win with the Town, but it's not that simple. I (as the Mod) will arbitrarily edit two of your posts to switch their content out of chronological order. Additionally, when referring to yourself or your actions, you are not permitted to use proper names (pronouns only!) or punctuation and you must make at least 2 refrences to honeysuckle. Additionally, you are a reverse lover (necrophiliac) with Player XXXX. If at any point they are alive when the game goes to night, you will commit suicide.

I'm frankly disapointed in you. No superfluous references to "Annabell Lee" ? That should be one of his post restrictions.

Maybe they can use that as an explanation for why they are choosing their random vote target.


Some of these author roles are absoultely insane, but if you trimmed out some of the craziness, you could probably make an interesting game out of it. Because I would absoutley demand that all players post in character, I would probably make the role

names

open, but keep powers and allignments secret. Kind of like Calvin and Hobbes mafia but with a point.

These roles are not mutually exclusive, but a game in which they both win would probably run several hundred pages.
