Two newbie games completed, and a large theme game completed (I'm dead in it) so I'm pretty sure I qualify.

If you've already played two newbie games, you're not allowed to be a newbie either. Go play a mini or some micros, then come back as an SE. The only way for you to get into newbie games at this point is as a replacement for newbie slots that are vacant and mods have requested replacements.

Correct. I'd advise you try the open, mini normal, or mini theme queues if you want to get one game done. If you go to the micro area, IIRC you have to do more than one game before coming back.

That's not your choice. By signing up to play, you are signing up to be placed into a game per the list mod's decisions.

You can /in elsewhere. Make sure to check the mod's rules in advance; some require completed games for experience, others allow anyone.

You can join more than one game at a time, but as you'll find when playiiing here, most of the time the entire day length gets used for discussion.

You don't need to make any alt accounts. There are several non-newbie areas you can play, if you feel ready, but I do recommend sticking here for your first game to get a feel for the way we play.

Newbie 1532: Whammy! needs a replacement for a newbie slot currently occupied by Riabi. Game is in the last bit of day one. The game currently has 25 pages. Newbies not in their first game can apply, and will be given preference over SE and IC players.

It doesn't matter what BBMolla is, if he replaced into a newbie slot, the slot remains a newbie slot.
